It is not the same as the program on this website but my dad used to run long distance professionally. When I expressed interest in running one this is the plan he gave me (my fitness level was running 3 one hour runs per week averaging~7.5 miles per run):

For any running program you need to get a base of strength. Here's the first workout:
Warmup for once around the track (roughly one quarter mile) at a slow slow pace.

I've been lifting for 6 years now. I recommend starting with the program I began with: Stronglifts 5x5. It's free and will help you slowly add weight each workout. It starts you off with these barbell exercises:
Bench press
Bent over row
Squat
Overhead press
Deadlift
