Notes: It’s the end of another work week and I wish I could say it was better but it wasn’t. Add on the bonus of some family health issues to make this week even shittier.

Anyway, now that was I caught up…today….the bedroom smoke detector went off at 4:33 am and scared the crap out of us. No smoke, no fire. It was just being stupid. I had a hard time getting back to sleep (I am not a great sleeper anyway). At work, I had an 8-9 meeting for the third day in a row, which was frustrating because I had a strict deadline to meet. I made the deadline with a couple of hiccups along the way (one was out my control but caused me to redo some work and other was a Dumb Dawn Trick which happens when I feel rushed and frazzled). After work, was another 6 mile walk because I am not doing much else. I need to get back to my quick workouts during the day because I NEED to leave my desk. I am starting to have problems with my neck and lower back. I also need to get back to regular work outs. I look and feel like crap. I won’t even get into my bad dietary choices right now. The rest of evening was reading, hockey and a DVR show. Round 2 started on Tuesday and some parts of the schedule are weird…like only 1 game tonight. At least I finally got to finish the first book in a 3 book series and start the second one.

Thank you @JCU. 💗 I am now holding out hope for next week.

Notes: Boxing, walking and hockey. We were supposed to do the 8 miles at the Ponds but it seemed like it would be too windy so we walked in the neighborhood. It turned out to be a nice day. My feet were killing me though. There was only 1 hockey game and it turned out to be a huge disappointment. Such is life. I did get caught up on my log and read some more of my book.
Lesson of the Day: I need to depend on my journal more.

Seems to me you certainly try, if nothing else, with your workouts. I have a long way to go to catch up to you. :)

❤️JFF: Rating = 7.5. I did this one when it was free on YouTube. I planned to do all 65 of them but she stopped posting them and pulled the ones that were on there. Everything is on her app (for a subscription of course). I was able to buy just this program. Yay for that. It seemed a little bit different than the original which is fine but I felt some left knee twinges.

Notes: I actually did a workout after work instead of just walking 6 miles. Since it was another weird night for the hockey schedule, I planned a longer Yoga. I was BEAT after step aerobics so I just did my go to Yoga instead. I didn’t have strict deadlines at work, just a lot of time spent in meetings and Dumb Dawn Trick from a couple of weeks ago that came back to haunt me. The hockey game was a blowout but the team I was for won.

9. Boxing: 12 minutes of heavy bag (punching, kicking, strikes (knee, elbow, palm), back fist combos
10. 4 mile walk outside. 1:10:56

❤️Foundation: Rating = 7.0. An unpleasant little workout but I don’t like tendon strength.
❤️AoS Day7: Rating = 8.0. I kept my feet moving. Quick and easy but I could feel it.
❤️GFWR: Rating = 8.5. Quick and fun and I actually got the steps mostly correct.
❤️AoS Day8: Rating = 7.5. Standard push-ups output sucked (4-2-2). The rest of it was ok.
❤️Boxing: Rating = 8.5. I was tired but this was good anyway.
❤️Walk: TG for clouds and a breeze.

Notes: I finally returned to my re-do of the Foundation programs. Foundation and AoS Day 7 were done during the work day (I’ve been a remote worker since we moved to Colorado in 2014). And speaking of work…just ugh. No, I did not depend on my journal more. Yes I lost my temper. After work, I GFWR, AoS and Boxing. It’s amazing how bad I’ve gotten at push-ups (not that I was ever great 😹). The hockey schedule was back to normal so didn’t get a cool down after the workout as I wanted to get a 4 mile walk in before puck drop. And speaking of hockey, the first game was a huge disappointment. The second game was not. I missed the end because a storm blocked th satellite dish. This was a rare storm that gave us pretty large hail.

Notes: I woke up to see hail on the ground. I slept very poorly. Work sucked. I did not get a full lunch and worked late. I also had some health concerns (family and my own). The weather was gloomy and then rainy and the hockey was l 50/50.

Notes: Before I get into today, 2 things about yesterday. 1. The rare severe storm did damage to the flowering trees and plants (including ours). It was depressing. 2. I emotionally ate for breakfast. Not good. So today, work sucked but not as bad as yesterday. I actually got my entire lunch break and didn’t stay late. After work it was raining (it was raining all day, which is weird) so we didn’t get a chance to walk. I forgot to take my allergy meds so I had a headache. I took a nap, did Yoga and watched hockey.

Notes: Finally…an uneventful day at work. Yay for that! After work, I was supposed to do Pilates but I blew it off. Ugh. The walk was cool, cloudy and breezy but at least it wasn’t raining. The hockey was 50/50 but for the second night in a row a team I was rooting for got eliminated. 😿🏒

❤️Boxing: Rating = 7.5. This was just ok. The speedbag was too flat to use but I did change up one of my combos.
❤️Walk: This was supposed be an 8 mile walk but a woman a couple streets over stopped us to talk for a while and we wouldn’t have had enough time. Not to sound rude, but I don’t want to stop and talk with anyone during our walking time. It was cool and cloudy.

Notes: I forgot to mention the best thing about yesterday. When we were walking to the mailbox, we saw a duck couple in our neighbor’s yard. I love ducks!🦆

Today was boxing, walking hockey. Round 2 is winding down so there was only 1 game. The team I was rooting for lost. At least they weren’t eliminated but game 7 is Monday night.
