Day 13/30 - Abs
5/5 Sets
I got distracted and didn't update, but I finished the workout about 2 hours ago. In my time zone it's Saturday.
Heel taps are pretty difficult, huh.
I did procrastinate getting started for like 15 minutes, but it went pretty well. Two hours later and my abs are still feeling warm.

No more notes today. I'm excited to hit the halfway mark - Day 15 (and Day 30 as well).
Hope everyone has a nice weekend!
:flowers:
Day 14/30 - Cardio.
I'm updating in the evening today.
7/7 Sets.
I took a 2min break after the first Set and then stuck to the 1min break.
Today I also performed the step jacks as jumping jacks.
It was easier than I was expecting, it made me feel super strong.

Yesterday Review - Abs (Day 13)
Surprisingly, there was no soreness, at least not until now. The time before, it took two days for my abs to get sore, so I might feel it tomorrow.

Tomorrow - Strength (Day 15)
It's going to be my 15 Day streak!!!.

Day 15 - Strength
My first achievement!!!
Today I stuck to 30-second breaks to challenge myself.
The bicep extensions got so much easier. The reverse lunges also got easier, but with a smaller break I definitely felt it.

Nothing to note about yesterday, just good old cardio.

Tomorrow - Tendons (Day 16)
Looks pretty easy. We'll see.

PS: I had a rough end to my week, but a 15-day streak is a great way to start a new one.

Day 16 - Tendons
5/5 Sets
Today was boring, though I did feel a slight burn on the last Set.

Yesterday - Strength (Day 15)
No soreness from yesterday! Yay! I expected the reverse lunges to come back with a vengence.

Tomorrow - Cardio (Day 17)
I shall face the side leg raises again. :eager:

Day 17/30 - Cardio
Evening update again!
7/7 Sets
Today I only took 1-min breaks. It got pretty hard by Set 4 but then got easier towards the end.
The side leg raises are still very hard to balance.

Tomorrow - Strength (Day 18)
Tomorrow will be the first day with more than four types of exercises!

Day 18/30 - Strength
7/7 Sets
The W-extensions felt like I was bench pressing. :tears:
Today was definitely a mind-over-matter day. But I did it!!!
I'm pretty sure my legs will be sore tomorrow.

Day 19/30
7/7 Sets
I'm pretty sure I did more than I needed to because I got confused with the reps, so I just did a few more to be safe.
My calves felt stiff for hours after. Not in an uncomfortable way, more like firm.

Day 20/30 - Tendons
5/5 Sets.
I got slightly better at side leg raises.

I also have been browsing the Darebee website to figure out what I'll do after the foundation program (since day 5 lol).
After a lot of bookmarking and back-and-forth, I chose the Momentum program.
I was looking for something similar to the Foundation program but on a higher level of difficulty, and Momentum seems to be just that.

Day 21/30 - Cardio
7/7 Sets

  • Today I took only 30-second breaks, and I never thought I'd say this, but pushing through was pretty fun.
  • Tomorrow is Abs day and the rep amount doesn't seem too high (I think). I'll go for 1-min breaks and adjust as needed.

LATE UPDATE!

Day 22 and Day 23
I'm staying with a relative to help them through post-surgery recovery, so my schedule is a mess, but I did Day 22 before going to the hospital with them.

I skipped yesterday because I was too sleep-deprived (still kind of am).

Today I did Day 23 - 7/7 sets, alternating between 1 and 2 min breaks.

I'll probably do Day 24 and 25 together just so the 30th day of the program lines up with the 30th of the month (I started on September 1st, so I really want it to end on the 30th so that I can start Momentum on the first of November)

Day 24/25 - Tendons and Cardio

Day 24 - 5/5 Sets
I think Leg Raises are to me what stairs are to Po from Kung Fu Panda.

Day 25 - 7/7 Sets
At the beginning I felt a little out of energy (I'm still not sleeping much), but after Set 4 I got my energy back!!! And it felt pretty good.

I'm also super happy that my one day off didn't snowball into dropping the whole program completely. I actually couldn't wait to get back to it. It makes me happy.

Thank you for the well wishes, she's doing better day after day.:tuzki-love:

Day 26 - Strength
7/7 Sets
I kept thinking about stopping after every Set. It was very tempting, because I'm tired, though not physically. By Set 6 I was yawning, but once I got it done, Set 7 felt like a breese.

Only four days to go! I'm so excited to start Momentum!!!

Day 27/30 - Cardio
7/7 Sets.
Today was even harder than yesterday!
My jumps probably looked more like Calf Raises up until Set 4. But then I remembered the smiling trick and it was like a switch flipped in my brain. The soreness in my legs pretty much vanished, the power of the mind is a little freaky.

Day 28/30 - Tendons
5/5 Sets
Today was a Side Leg Raise only day. :scared:
My left leg is so much harder to raise than my right.:yell:

After the first Set I actually did some dynamic stretches because it felt like my hips were going to cramp.
Looking back, I realize that grabbing onto a chair or maybe the wall would've made it so much easier, but oh well.

Only two more days to go!!!

Day 29/30 - Abs
5/5 Sets
I think my Crunches are getting slightly better.
I watched a lot of videos about engaging the core and surprinsingly I already knew how to do it properly (I think), except for the flutter kicks. To do them right my, legs have to be pretty high up, though as I progressed through the Sets I was able to lower them a bit more.
I had been doing the program in the evening for the last week, but today I managed to get it done in the morning again, and I definitely prefer it.
Only one more day!
:shake:

DAY 30/30 - CARDIO!!!
7/7 Sets
I thought I would be pretty busy today, but the plans changed and I have the day pretty much free, so I just finished Foundation!!!
:yas::dance::move::tude::wiggle::vibes:

I led with the step variation of the Jacks until my body warmed up because one of my menstrual cycle symptoms is aches in my lower body joints (knees and ankles), and I did the last two Sets with jumps.
I'm definitely not starting Momentum at the best time, but it doesn't matter because I want to get started so bad.

Since my relative doesn't have late-night and super early morning prescriptions to take anymore (since yesterday), I'm going back to full nights of sleep.
:night:

My pants are also telling me that I lost weight. This whole week I've been noticing that my pants are looser, which is not something I was counting on since my stress levels have been relatively high and I also haven't made a meal plan or significant diet changes.
Today when I was coming back from the supermarket, I also noticed that I walked almost all the way back home with the groceries before my arm got tired!!! Now that's fitness!!!
:kungfu:

I'll also do 30 Days of Yoga alongside Momentum. I'm hoping to see improvement in my balance.

I think I'll start another thread for that one. If I do, I'll link it here.
