Today was leg day at the gym, and it went well. I'll have no problem getting to 12 reps per set for each exercise next week.
I had to go from 60 to 120 seconds of rest, but that's fine. :)

But part of me is thinking about the prep-work we're doing for an inspection at my work place. And one of the things they hammer in is if you don't know something, don't just say you don't know. You say, "I don't know. But I know how to find out." And then do so.

@NightWolf714 I think the "public" and private spheres sometimes differ. Personally, admitting you don't know something is the foundation for improvement; that's where you start; there's no point in doing something different otherwise. In the public or professional sphere, for example, you can't do this, not entirely, otherwise it's seen as incompetence.
It's a bit of a paradox in our society: we think we know a lot, yet we care very little.

What do you think of the vegan béchamel? I feel like I've encountered some odd behaviors when baking with milk substitutes, since there are some chemical interactions that don't work with perfectly with a 1:1 substitution.

This is the last week of this training cycle, and I'll finish on Friday morning, even though I actually already completed the 12 reps, 3 sets, scheduled for all exercises last Friday. Anyway, I'll pretend nothing happened and finish on schedule; I'm not obsessive-compulsive at all... :LOL:

What do you think of the vegan béchamel? I feel like I've encountered some odd behaviors when baking with milk substitutes, since there are some chemical interactions that don't work with perfectly with a 1:1 substitution.
You need to take some precautions, such as using unsweetened plant-based milks—the best ones are oat and soy—but above all, you need to work a little with spices and starch to find the right flavor and consistency.
Once you find the right combination, if they didn't tell you, you'd never guess you were eating a vegetable béchamel, and it's much easier to digest. :)

Today is a good day for training:
:completed:I successfully completed another 7-week training cycle at the gym.
:yas::strong:I indulged in the temptation of trying the 32kg kettlebell for the first time in my life. 10 reps for 5 sets, the kettlebell at chest height from the first rep, all alternating with push-ups, and I'm very satisfied with myself.:strong::yas:
I also tried a few exercises for the next training cycle to adjust weights, reps, and form. :)

I'm already feeling better physically than yesterday, but I fully intend to take every day I can for active recovery. :)
I'm a little sad that I put heavy clubbell training on hold, but between three mornings at the gym, two evenings of Muay Thai training, Fit December, and this month's challenge, I think it's more than fine. More on that later.

I'll use Fit December as an Advent calendar, without peeking at the next day. It seems like a fun idea, and of course I'll try to always do it every day, using the challenge as a warmup. :)

I used to buy this real advent calendar with little chocolates, and allow myself only to take the chocolate of the day if I finished the Daily Dare 🙃

The Advent calendar is one of the things that makes it most "Christmas". :)
