Crunch alternatives ?

Hi,
I'm 18 basically getting into fitness for the first time. I did Foundation some time ago and found it pretty easy so I started on TEN which is perfect for me so far except for the crunches on day 4. I do just a few of them and I start feeling nauseous somehow. Probably this is related more to my extant inner ear issues (I have very poor balance--can't ride a bike, stand up on a paddleboard, or do certain yoga poses etc. without feeling sick) than to the actual movement/muscles because I can do most other ab/stomach-focused things fine that I've tried (up to my current (rather low) level of fitness.) There are lots of those but I'm not sure which would be the best substitute in this case as part of a circuit. If anyone has any advice that would be stellar.

Here's a link for convenience.

Does this help?:pose:
Thank you !! Gosh the search on this site is so great, you can filter for just about anything it seems.

For my future self : ended up doing 20 high knees and 10 seagulls in replace of the 10 regular crunches and 10 side crunches respectively. Think I'll keep using/exploring the plank variants, I really like them for some reason.

I definitely feel ya. I'm redoing TEN and I struggle on that day as well despite doing okay with other ab exercises. I'm taking it as an area that needs work and have been doing ab focused challenges such as the Standing Abs or Daily Crunch.

No real advice, just support and reassurance that it can get better over time.
