I have to confess, I prefer Leonidas (belgian as well), perhaps not as stylish as Neuhaus or Cornet or Marcolini (who happen to be a mediocre excuse of a human being towards his staff, but that is a different debate, but they remind me my childhood and my grandmother and happy times (the time of yore when taxes was not in my vocabulary)Yes to love spreading! Nope, I don't know of Neuhaus shops in Paris, and their website doesn't show any in France! We got Leonidas plenty, and yeah, they're nice, but I got good memories from our Belgian neighbors gifting us some for new year, when I was a kid - and I bought them when I lived in Belgium.
@Froud , I didn't know about Cornet or Marcolini, interesting! And yeah, memories play a lot in tastes, LOL!

Now you all are making my mouth water! I too was introduced to pralines (chocolate covered ones, shaped like seashells) in Belgium. I have no idea what brand they were. But they were good! I'd find them too sweet now. But back in the day (1988) I loved them!
