Ahhh. My bestie went through the camping reservation thing last year, trying to get an ideal spot. That is way more competitive than I would have ever thought! Congrats on snagging the spot y'all wanted!

Thanks, @NightWolf714. This one felt easy and relaxed compared to others I've participated in. The friend I hiked with today got spots but not exactly when or where they wanted. The system crashed between picking the first and second night of a multi-day trip. They snagged a coveted area for the first night, but had to settle for the alternate area for the second night.

Sunny spring weather continues (the rain comes back on Saturday). I had planned to hike with my partner but she did not feel well this morning. As I was finishing my workout I got a text from my partner (she doesn't usually text me from upstairs). A friend of ours had the day off work and wanted to hike. Less then an hour later I met this friend at the trailhead. I didn't pick the hike, but had done it before. It was slightly longer then I have done since surgery. I didn't know the elevation gain, but knew it was a lot of uphill. Three miles in I felt as if I had had enough (knowing I had another 3 miles back to my car). I talked myself into going another quarter mile and if that went okay then I could make it the last quarter mile to the end, a viewpoint ... overlooking a landfill ... with nice mountains off in the distance. The trail goes through a beautiful forest and it's well worth the effort. The elevation gain turned out to be over 1700 feet, three times my last hike of 6 miles.

I will call Thursday a recovery day. I didn't get many steps, but I did do day 20 of Cardio Blast. I did some light yard work But otherwise took it easy. Friday I was back on the trail. Not as far as Wednesday, just another nice day in the woods. This week I have emphasized yoga over Cardio Blast, often dropping to level 2 or even 1. But I've done 20 to 30 minutes of yoga every morning. I do feel better with less stiffness my back and hips. Friday I choses yoga over Cardio Blast in the limited time I had before leaving for PT followed by the hike.

Weekend update: Saturday was a recovery day, and so was Sunday. Makes it a recovery weekend. I skipped parkrun this week. To be truthful, most of the participants had finished before I woke up Saturday morning. It felt great. I had no reason to hurry to do my workout or anything else. Sunday was much the same as Saturday. I continue to emphasis yoga and stretching over strength and cardio. Doing this is a major reason I'm hitting level 3 in Cardio Blast again. I also did light yard work both days binning up the blackberry slash and mowing the grass. It's more like mowing the meadow, the neglected backyard of the old house. It's tough work for my battery-powered lawnmower.

Completed yoga and Cardio Blast in the morning before going to PT. I had several stops at shops along the way home zapping my energy for afternoon activity. I managed to rally myself to finish cutting down the backyard meadow. I fell a little short of my Treasure Hunt goal for the day. I will have to make it up tomorrow as I finish up the challenge

Happy Earth Day everyone. I spent some time in the forest to celebrate. For that reason I switched my Treasure Hunt goal to Forest (not because I'm too tired to do an additional 100 march steps . . . maybe because of that). Anyway, I had a great time stepping through the forest.

I substitutes day 28 for day 27 today. I had an early PT appointment followed by more hiking today. I was busy enough through the afternoon to put off my workout until after dinner. Day 28 was a good choice for today. It was great to get out into the forest again today.
