Going back to my original training log title because I missed it. Hopefully in the next couple of days I'll write up and intro and some new goals, but maybe I won't!

I'm a lifelong martial artist in my 40s. I'm also busy surviving cancer.

Currently working on: Hard Reset Strength, doing at least a little daily yoga, X days of iaijutsu

Good Morning Yoga

Dojo
180 days of iai

Good Morning Yoga

183 days of iai
10 sword cut
3x kata of the week
100 punches
Daily Dare - 2 minutes flutter kicks
Hard Reset Strength, Day 20
Zen

I think I need to hunt through the yoga options for something that has a little more hip-opener action. The three (Good Morning, Zen, and Better Sleep, the last of which never gets recorded because I try not to touch the internet after I do it) I'm doing regularly are definitely helping with my mid-back too-much-sitting issues, but they aren't going to help with the hips.

So, my oncologist corrected my assumptions about the current chemo: I'm on this until it stops fighting the cancer. Which means that I need to re-up my step-count game back to at least 10,000 steps per day most days and go back on the Amazon Queen Diet. The diet correction is mostly going to be a matter of portion controls rather than changing what I'm eating day-to-day. And back to food tracking: I even had "I'm so sad" gelato yesterday and, because I ate a portion rather than a pint, I didn't even blow my calorie goals out of the water.
Before lunch:
Exercise bike (goal of 5,000 steps; hit 7,000)
Rest & Repair

After lunch:
Exercise bike (goal of 10,000 steps; hit 12,000)
Rest & Repair

That sounds hard, best wishes doing what you need to do.
:vibes:
Thank you! :thanks:

It's no fun, but I would rather know than not. And as chemo goes, this stuff is super light on the side effects! I have very few really bad days and I usually have at least a couple of days of feeling completely normal by the end of the cycle.

And now I know, so I change the plan and keep going. :accepted:

The DD is side leg raises and that seemed like a lot on top of the side leg raises in HRS, so skipping that.
