I'm starting this...on day 2.
If I was a car, you wouldn't buy me. So I'm aiming for consistency rather than impressive and 'something is better than nothing'.
Only a mild headache so far today.

Heck yeah. You can always fix up a car. Get a new battery, new tires, repair dents, maybe even get a new coat of paint - each time you exercise, you could imagine a car getting an upgrade!

This is a great beginning for you. I hope to keep seeing you around! :gogogo:

Consistency... they say that after 21 days you generate a habit. The first few are the hardest and the "repair" is slow but it is achieved. Lots of encouragement

Day 3
Hello, hello, hello :hello:
Today is day 92 of consistent exercise (pretty pleased with this) but day 3 of doing this :worried:

I did end migraine-ing out yesterday so am feeling about as stable as a wet bit of paper in a cyclone.
Still, onward and upward.
My balance is questionable today.
Used a combo of 4 and 3kg DB.

Look at me upgrading my formatting after realising I was dropping the ball.

Day 4- SOMA 40+

This was the workout I needed yesterday!

Today it wasn't quite enough so I topped it up a little by finishing with a shoulder inversion and then because that's how my brain works 2x 30s wall supported handstand holds.

Then I was done.

Day 5- SOMA 40+
4kd DBs

Lunges. I've been helping my son rehab his knee. Part of this has come with the realisation that my son has terrible lunge form. Raising the question why isn't his other knee sore?

Long and short, I have been standing around lunging a lot this fortnight. Saying irritating mum things like "pretend you are on a train track!" and "what are your hips doing? Should we do this against the wall?"
Anyway my R delt was feeling twingy doing these so I probably should have done them unweighted

Day 6- SOMA 40+

This was fun. I didn't get to it until late as I had the kids make me breakfast in bed (then watch me intensely as I ate it). Before talking to my partner's family (including his mum) and then going on a walk and talking to my mum and sister, who were having breakfast together :revolving:

Day 11- SOMA 40+

I've been up since 5am. I got a bit confused doing today's while watching Eurovision.
Topped up with 15min of stepper.
Still deciding who to vote for...only up to Greece!
It might be the up at sparrows fart talking but Australia has been growing on me each time I hear that song. I hated it the first 6 times I heard it :jacks:

Lol, voted for 6 different countries...spending all the money 💰

Voting is in...can I just say: gutted. Bloody bland arse balads. My son is doubly gutted as he is a fan of Ireland. They both have strong opinions on Latvia getting through :tears:

3 and 4kg DBs

A bit of a headache today and got weight confusion. Then realised I'd started with a lower weight then I'd intended!
Topped up with 9:26 on the stepper reading about physicists working on ALICE incidentally turning lead into gold and not being happy about it. Then reflected on hundreds of years of humans giving themselves mercury poisoning attempting the same thing and it really brightened my day. Keep it weird humanity.

If anyone else is interested, you can find the article here.

Topped up with 13min stepper.

5am again, Eurovision final. I have my short-list. Listening through with my daughter while she makes my her mind and the possums go sick on the roof :muahaha:

Listening to Latvia, explaining to my daughter that they bring and important 'mystic weird shit' element that Eurovision needs and we can't blame them for Australia being repeat Eurovision tourists without adequate political alliances to get votes.

This house is really gunning for Malta, Sweden and then unity ends debate between Italy, San Marino, Iceland and Austria begins.

Austria was a good win. Iceland got a bum rap though!
My daughter was in tears when she though the 'staircase balad' was going to win. She was really gunning for Malta, Italy and Armenia.

One of my friends is an epic Eurovision fan and she has been loving Austria since the songs came out. So she is so stoked!!

My Eurovision playlist is:
Armenia, Austria, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, San Marino, Spain, and Sweden.

All my favourites among the lowest ranked. It's true that the Austrian representative sings great, but personally I'm not too keen on the song. Music tastes are really very personal, but the rankings didn't seem fair to me. Anyway, that's the way the contest is. I enjoyed watching it. That's for sure.

Seeing Australia in the finals would be amazing @Anek !

Day 14- SOMA 40+

It was a migraine day today. So this was a great one.
I pulled up in the arvo to knock out 14min on the stepper to make the win! Not setting the world on fire but I'm pleased with myself.

Had an overly long discussion with my son about what to do if you find a snake in the toilet. We are down south. The likelihood of finding a snake in the loo is slim. But doing yourself a damage because you were overly confident when dicking around with snakes...still a thing. Honestly, I think kids are 60% unfounded confidence and 40% belife in their own immortality. Fun times.

10min stepper top up.

I had a rush of blood to the head and made the kids waffles for brekkie. They thought all their Christmases has come at once and laid on all the compliments. They are good kids and know which side their bread is buttered on:tuzki-love:

Combination of actual walking and stepper for the top up today.
Did a pharmacist/ post office/ grocery run in my lunch break today. Who needs free weights when you are carrying everything in the known world on you while waiting in queues and dodging laggers...all while NOT eating your lunch. :big-cry:

Top up was a combination of 11min on the stepper and some dancing around to shake off a day that ended with sending someone the email equivalent of my memoirs...it had 7 attachments and spanned 3 broad topic areas. It's great to give your professional opinion but emails should be short not encyclopaedic.

Yoga was meh today...and meant I had 17min on the stepper. Watched some Alone Australia. Watching people gitting around in Tasmania and saying such epic lines as: "the only thing that gets me more excited than seeing shit. Is seeing the animal that did the shit." What a time to be alive :kcoffee:

It was a family birthday party today, so was up at sparrows fart cooking and stressing...like a normal adult :dizzy-face:

Got to the 'cleaning up' portion of the day and honestly felt like I'd been hit by a truck. But all the big ticket items are either washed or in a machine being washed and the rubbish is out :welcome:

I would like to thank the following songs (probably dating myself) for getting myself through today's workout after all of that action:
Hilltop hoods- nosebleed section
Cat empire- the rhythm
Cruel sea- better get a lawyer

I would like to thank my unambitiously low step goal for allowing me for now having a two day 'step goal' streak :tears: :yas:
In unrelated news I got a literal star with this achievement as my partner and son were preping some scrap metal and my son decided to make me a prezzie and made me a star out of aluminium :gstar::gots:

Only a couple of days left! Decisions, decisions! To do this again or to do something else? Probably something else. Whatever it is I need to do a better job of printing (yes, I burned a rainforest so I would just have it there in front of me and remove an excuse). For SOMA I did a shit job and it printed tiny in the middle of the page and I've been squinting at it for the last 27 days :cantcope:

Day 28- SOMA 40+

Got the SOMA in nice and early but had to wait until way late for my 15min stepper top up. My sister has a proper step goal of over 10,000 steps a day...she is not impressed with my low bar approach :grumpy:, I stand by my logic that a win is a win. Even if a paralysed monkey could have done it.

Thank you @graoumia , my sister and mother are both very attached to their 10,000 steps a day. That's just not one of my goals. I'd rather set myself up for an achievable win than a stretch that I was going to mostly fail at.

Day 29- SOMA 40+

4kg DBs

Topped up with 10min of stepper...then an extra 2min to make my step goal :tears:

I'm not a tall person. In fact my oldest is taller than me and my youngest is gaining fast. Even my little sister is in fact taller than me!
The point being, all this time on the stepper has given me extra opportunities to see up higher...all the dust and cobwebs I've been missing! I went on a dusting spree and my partner took over to make it stop faster...so a win all round :gotthis:
