Recovery from Covid Long Haul

I had Covid in 2021 and got Covid Long Haul. I have not exercised in over 4 years, have challenges with fatigue and brain fog. I need some help and recommendations on how to get started exercising again. If I do too much, I end up needing a nap about two hours later. This is especially prevalent if I do cardio. Please help!! I want my life back!!

Definitely agree with graoumia, I've done recovery after a particularly nasty flu, and it's designed to be easy and help you get back on your feet.

The biggest thing to know about any program on Darebee is that everything is done at your pace and at what you're able to do. If you need to do half of the reps it states, then that's what you do. Any movement is movement, and you're at a stage where you need to take it slow and build up carefully.

You can do it! :yas:

Agreed with the others. You may also try to stretch out the exercising over the course of the day. Instead of, for example, trying to do 5 jumping jacks at at one time you may do one every couple of hours. That way you allow your body plenty of recovery time in between.

No amount of exercise is too little to get started. Baby steps are still steps. It just means it's probably going to be a long process unfortunately. But even if you're just getting up every hour and moving around, that can help.

OH! I just remembered while writing this that there's a collection of work break exercises. These are designed for shorter workouts. It ranges in intensity, but the ones closer to the bottom may be worth a try.
