Restarting for the 50th Time

Hello 👋

I’m starting over. I have started and stopped so many times I can’t truly number them. When I think of a life goal, it’s to be consistent. Trust me, I’m not just talking about exercise; But it’s a start.

I experience life differently than some. I have learned that some people like me are amazing at starting, but stop right before the completion. The start gives a burst of dopamine that the middle and end just don’t seem to provide.

But, I’m going to try my hardest to fight against the tendency to stop or expect for perfection and when it doesn’t come, quit.

I will post here every time I complete anything exercise related. I welcome motivation and encouragement as well as similar stories and advice! ☺️

My commitment -

M, W, F Starting Over Darebee exercise, Level 1
Everyday 20 minute walk

Welcome, i love your nickname @happybee Maybe to get more of the dopamine burst you enjoy you may consider trying new thing more often ?
Thank you for your encouragement! I recently thought about that too. Instead of doing the same workout every week, maybe I can change it once every week or once every two weeks to add variety. When I get tired of it, that’s what I will do ☺️ I have to remember, I’m not committed to the workout itself 🤭 I’m committed to the betterment of myself!

Welcome back! I've also just started again after starting and stopping so many times. Starting again every time also asks some courage! And for that you're already doing so well.
You've got this!
You’re right! Thank you for saying that 🥹 I'm so happy to know you’re starting again too! Do you post checkins on here? If so, I will follow your thread 🎉

1 - Finished ‘Starting Over’ workout on Level 1. My calves are killing me a little. Not painful, more like spaghetti 😂 Today was the first time I ever did the workout as straight sets with rest in between each exercise instead of each circuit. I found out the way I had previously been training was more like circuit training. I would finish all workouts and THEN rest.

2 - this is day 4 or 5, but my body decided to rebel and I didn’t see the Darebee solution until too late 🤭 Anyway, “day 2” update. I switched programs already. As soon as I saw the new Primer program I knew I had to start it ☺️ Great day!

1 - I restarted the
Perfect Balance challenge today as well! I like to do exercises in tandem with other exercises which is another reason I like Darebee and their entire collection of workouts, challenges and other things. But yeah this felt right. And, balance? Everyone needs it. Hahaha. I think it should help with my posture too!

I hate when I type out a message and forget to press send 😬 This was for yesterday and I included today below it.

3 - Great exercise with day 2 of the Primer!

2 - My balance has improved. Just last month I started the Perfect Balance program and did it for only 10 days. Apparently those 10 days really paid off 🤩 I was able to balance for longer than 30 seconds. I will continue to do 30 seconds because not , but it was nice nonetheless.

4 - I am so happy active rest days are included in the program. Today was needed! Day 3 Primer down ☺️

3 - Day 3 Perfect Balance was great.
