Interestingly, so far, the Balance workout is by far the hardest for me. My legs tire very easily, especially my right leg. Although that was actually one of the things I wanted to solve with exercise, I get tired when standing. I don't know if it's because I'm not supporting myself properly with my paws or something. I hope it stops happening in a few months.

It definitely gets easier over time as you strengthen those leg muscles. But just try not to lock up the knees while doing it. That balance workout is one of my optional workouts and I'm honestly debating about making it a regular one. Especially since there's more difficult balance workouts to work towards too.

Now it's time to take a well-deserved break (and a milkshake!) and plan the routine I'll follow until I feel ready to start Hero's Journey.

Since the Knee Push-Ups challenge is proving so difficult for me, I've decided not to do anything that involves using my arms on the days I have to do repetitions and instead save it for the days I have to do holds. And since tomorrow is hold day, I'll debut my new post-foundation body with the Forge Master workout.

What can I say? I can't wait to use the dumbbells! (Plus, they'll be my weapon in Hero's Journey. I'll give you a proper infodump on why when the time comes!)

I definitely pushed myself too hard today. I feel super exhausted and on the verge of fainting. So, new strategy: I'll do low-intensity exercises until I finish the challenges, since I only have one week left to go. Then I'll do a couple of days of even lower intensity to rest and recover, and after that, I'll go back to level 3 workouts to prepare for Hero's Journey! Let's see if I can start September and the program at the same time!

Okay, I'll give you the info dump right now. I'm overcome with emotion. I'm an excited autistic person, don't judge me!

Okay, I have a habit of not doing anything lightly. As a basis for motivating myself and getting energy (or spoons) from there to do things, I need my exercises and activities to have something that I can connect to my personal lore.

That's why, out of all the programs, I'm not only going to take the Hero's Journey (which fits in quite well with my concept of myself, I'm even writing a fantasy novel about it!), but out of all the weapons, I'm going to choose the hammer. That is, dumbbells!

“Why, oh mysterious Anubian wolf of the white sands?”

Because the hammer is the blunt weapon of the set. And curiously, I use blunt weapons. That is... ta-daaa, my two faithful khopeshes!

Error! Khopeshes are neither an evolution nor a variation of swords, but rather of Egyptian axes!

When you see them together, it's clear, right?

And since axes are blunt weapons, meaning that their damage is based more on their weight and impact than on their cutting edge, khopeshes have the same quality!

Plus, using two dumbbells gives me all the vibes of using my two khopeshes.

I just discovered a program also called Push Pull Legs (Thanks to a response from @Fanta), level 3, which focuses on dumbbell weight training and lasts 28 days. And I thought, “Hey, wouldn't this be a good program to do before hitting the Hero's Journey? A month of practicing and training with your khopeshes before going off on adventures?”

So I've made my decision. I'll do that program in September and get even more prepared for my journey! That BBEG won't have anywhere to hide! :muahaha:

When I got back from walking my dog, I was pretty exhausted. It's really hot outside.

The good thing is that I was able to stop by my favorite fruit shop and buy a pack of coconut water cans. I heard that it's infinitely better for replenishing minerals during exercise than Aquarius or Powerade.

Today I wanted to take it easy with a level 2 workout. I tried to do Walking to Mordor, but my legs gave out on the first set. So I did Ladybug instead.

In fact, I found the exercise very tiring today in general. It was all very strange until my head suddenly clicked. I forgot to eat breakfast today! :confused:

Today was one of those days when my body decided to wake up early, full of energy, even though my brain was still completely knocked out.

I rolled out of bed (What? Of course I don't sleep in a sarcophagus! Why does everyone ask that?), remembered to eat breakfast, and took my dog for a walk. Today I didn't limit myself to the temple grounds; we walked through the entire village, taking advantage of the shade and what seemed to be a cool breeze in the narrow streets.

Balance exercises are becoming easier for me. I feel like I am reconnecting with Ma'at. On the other hand, today my exercise took me on a mini adventure! I want to start touching the desert and getting ready for when the time comes for my Hero's Journey.

Where Sekhmet claimed for herself what was once another village, I have walked and trained among the ruins. At one point, I passed under a block of bricks, the only thing left of a wall and now held up by a brittle, dry wooden skeleton. Eager to practice my hook, I jumped and hit the block of bricks. And when it burst, a mushroom popped out! Since when are there mushrooms inside blocks of bricks?

Upon my return, one of my ushabtis has come out to greet me with offerings that have arrived to my temple. Scant offerings, certainly, but all delicious! So with my stomach full and my exercise done, I'm going to see what artifacts my ushabtis have brought from your planes. Like the large silver music box with two enormous holes that an ushabti now carries on his shoulder throughout the temple! That gadget has definitely improved my training sessions. :LOL:

Today I managed to sleep a little longer, although I woke up early again. Maybe I should go to bed earlier.

Today my dog and I walked through the gardens of my temple. It was too hot outside. We sat for a while under our favorite tree and played catch. The gardens were deserted today, but honestly, I prefer it that way. Besides, the buzzing of the cicadas turned out to be very relaxing.

When I got back, I did my daily exercise. Since it was a simpler workout, I reduced my rest time between sets, which allowed me to return to the embalming chambers earlier, and guess what? I arrived in time to see my sister Kebehut before she left. She needed some bandages and natron, and in exchange she gave me some of her Sacred Water left over from her rituals.

Today there was no food on the offering altar, so I'll have to use food from the storerooms. Lucky me, I still have the packages that an ushabti brought me, those little yellow cylinders that become soft and delicious when boiled. And with even more luck, maybe I'll have some dry cheese wedges left to put on top!

Today has been a low-energy day. So much so that exercise has been more of an excuse to drink a delicious protein potion. But hey, any motivation is good motivation.

In fact, I've had a slight pressure on my forehead for several days now, as if I were about to get a migraine at any moment. I guess it's a combination of lack of sleep and the unbearable heat (plus some personal worries that are keeping my mind quite busy).

Today's walk with my dog was long again. Although I left too late and we had to hide from Ra's gaze throughout the walk.

I've been able to open a portal to another dimension from which more magical signals reach my wisdom monolith! Oh, sorry, it's a habit, I have to say it that way so that the people on my plane understand. I opened a portal to one of your planes from which much more Wi-Fi signal reaches my computer. What a wonderful gadget, I wish the ushabti who brought it to me had done so 4,500 years earlier!
I took the opportunity to watch a movie. It wasn't a good movie, but at least I was entertained for a while.

Today there were offerings on the altar of my temple! Someone left a plate of those delicious fish-filled rice rolls! That mortal has my blessing and my utmost gratitude!

After that, I took a nap for several hours and woke up with enough energy to do my daily exercise. While training in my gardens, I saw Ra leave the sky and dive into the underworld with a splash of golden light, filling the dark sky with stars. One of those drops didn't reach Nut and instead fell right in front of my paws, causing a golden flower to emerge from there. Another ingredient for my potions!

Maybe I can get my sleep cycle back on track today and feel more energetic tomorrow. I want to be at my best for day 29 of the Knee Push-Ups challenge, the hardest one yet!

In the end, I slept just over six hours today. The day goes by too quickly, and when I realize it, it's always one or two in the morning.

Well, whatever. Today is cloudy, so it was a nice walk with my dog. We spent some time playing in the temple gardens.

Once back at the temple, I spent the morning reading ancient graphic papyri. Yes, in my plane they are comics just like in yours, but for the planes where those stories take place, these works are biographies, chronologies, and historical data. And I always like to learn about a plane before visiting it.

Today there were several protein-rich offerings on the altar, which helped me with today's exercise!

I was proactive and tried to skip several exercises today to be as fresh as possible for the main challenge of the day: 36 knee push-ups. And I did it! Awoohoo!!! Thank you all so much for your support! Afterwards, I tried to do some workout to take advantage of the rush, but I could only do half of it before collapsing completely. But hey, that's better than nothing!

@NightWolf714 The movie I saw yesterday was San Andreas. I saw it on the recommendation of an ushabti, and it reminded me why I have them all doing simple, repetitive tasks.

Another day done!

I went to bed early yesterday and got my full 8 hours of sleep! I also had a really good breakfast! Not just my usual juice and couple of fried eggs, but also some cheese with quince jelly on top. Delicious!

I took my dog out quite early today too. It wasn't too hot yet and it was cloudy, so it was a very pleasant walk.

Since I was feeling energetic today, I decided to do some exercise as soon as I got back from the street.
The bad news is that I tried to do a level 3 workout and failed on the first set, so maybe I should aim a little lower and keep doing level 2 stuff until my fitness improves a little more.
The good news is that I finished the Knee Push-Ups and Back & Shoulders challenges! Awoohoo!!!

For the rest of the month, I'll try to do level 2 PPL exercises to warm up and see if I can do the level 3 PPL program in September.

I hope the unmentionable one doesn't decide to attack my temple now, as it's obvious that I won't be able to defend it as fiercely as I did years ago. At least for now.
