Jan. 13. Day 1434. Donated to Darebee.
Classic warm-up
Ten jumping jacks
Sculpted Glutes workout with EC (30 seconds after each set is okay, right? 'no rest between exercises' means you don't do the two minutes rest after five sets are done?).
21:13 heavy breathing/sweat time post warm-up so that's 1 for the week for the COVID survey
Will edit later for flossing. ETA: flossing day 8.

January 14. Day 1435 of the streak.
Classic warm up.
Fifteen jumping jacks.
Power Pump workout. Started with 15 lb weights per hand. Got interrupted after set 5 of bicep curls. Resume after doing another first two rows of classic warm-up. Ten pound weights for the lat raises. 15 lbs for the shoulder press but I did standing Arnold presses instead, they make my right shoulder click less. 10 pounds per hand for the bent-over raises, but I could not do them as far as the diagram seems to indicate, alas. Don't know if this is EC or not.
Day 1, Power Punch challenge.
Total time spent sweating/heavy breathing during exercise post-warm-up: 27:37, so that's two for the week. Will edit for flossing later. ETA: flossing day 9.

January 15. Day 1436 of the streak.

Classic warm up
20 jumping jacks
Power Punch challenge day 2
Cardio Punch workout, level 2. 30 seconds to 1 minute rest between sets, so that's EC.

Going to stop there, with 8:55 heavy breathing/sweat for today; it's been a dog's age since I did cardio work. Will edit later for flossing. ETA: flossing day 10.

January 17. Day 1438.

Classic warm up
30 jumping jacks
Sculpted Glutes, with EC, but I stopped partway through set 1 of the plank-into-lunges; still, that was 21:09 spent on that workout
Day 4, Power Punch challenge (2 minutes punches, non-stop)
Total of 23:11 heavy breathing/sweating workout so that's day 1 for the COVID survey for the week

ETA: xonsecutive flossing day 12

January 22. Day 1443. 20 wall push-ups, 60 torso twists, flossing day 17. Also, started using an 'active sitting' chair by QOR360 at my desk and sewing machine to encourage myself to make small leg and core movements throughout the workday as well as to get up every 30 minutes or so
January 23. Day 1444. Power punch day 9 (3 sets 100 pushups PUNCHES). Flossing day 18, still using the chair.

January 25. Day 1446. 110 punches but did not do the rest of power punch, kinda got lazy. Flossing day 20. Still using the active sitting chair, I think I actually kinda prefer it to my original office chair.
January 26. Day 1447. Haven't done my actual exercise program yet today, but, uh. Basic news stuff put me at a point of doing 20 wall pushups, and then I made the mistake of looking at a web comic called Loving Reaper. It's about a particularly compassionate and kind manifestation of the Grim Reaper and it focuses on animals... I signed up for monthly donations to MSPCA-Angell and I will have to do at least 20 to 25 floor pushups when I get home tonight. Will edit for that, for the punching, and for flossing.

Edit: 30 wall pushups, 5 pushups off the almost-waist-high Ikea bookcase, 1 minute nonstop torso twists, day 21 flossing.

Feb. 15. Day 1467. Classic warm-up

Still had about 35 seconds to go so I did vertical punches nonstop until i hit 20 minutes of sweating/heavy breathing post-warm-up; day 1 for the COVID survey for the week

Will edit this for more exercise/ flossing later.
ETA: ten more, then 20 more; running total of 60 wall pushups so far today.

:unstoppable:congrats on showing up to work and doing 75 wall push ups even if exhausted!
I hope you could rest after all that!
Thank you! I got to sleep last night, even if it wasn't as much as I would like, so I'm feeling a bit better today. Also yesterday was day 42 of flossing.

Today is February 17, day 1469.
Classic warm up
3 sets 12 standing bicep curls, 15 lb per hand
3 sets 12 bench presses, 15 lb per hand (I don't own barbells and have no spotter anyway so it's dumbbells across the board)
3 sets 12 dumbbell chest flyes on the bench, 15 lbs per hand
3 sets 12 seated bicep curls, 15 lbs, left arm
3 sets 12 seated bicep curls, 15 lb, right arm
3 sets 12 dumbbell pullovers, 15 lbs
Power Punch challenge day 18, 2 minutes nonstop punching
this is 23:15 of heavy breathing/sweat workout post-warmup so that's day 2 for the survey for the week
10 wall pushups so far today, not counted in the time above
will edit later for flossing and/or any other pushups
ETA: no further pushups needed. Flossing day 43

Thank you all!

March 28. Day 1508. 200 punches before bed; day 82 flossing.
March 29. Day 1509. 100 punches before bed. Day 83 flossing.
March 30. Day 1510. Today I made the terrible mistake of renting a Bluebike and riding to the pharmacy at lunch to pick up orthotic inserts for my shoes. The only pharmacy within reach that sells them is in Kenmore, and is about two blocks from Fenway Park, and today was Opening Day. This is why it was a terrible mistake. Oh well. 24 minutes/3.52 miles, 7 minutes/0.9 miles on the bike, that's day 1 for the COVID survey for the week.

Many thanks!

now, ugh, I have to try and reconstruct what I did for the past... ugh... nearly 3 weeks. *pinches bridge of nose* Long story short, there was a vacation trip in there. My family went to Italy to celebrate my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. I conducted my basic exercises on a daily basis, usually around 100-150 punches and/or 60 torso twists per night, but there were also two days on which I walked more than 4 miles, plus all the extra walking done on the other days. I tried to keep up with flossing on the trip but cannot guarantee that I got flossing done every day, so I'm only counting my floss streak since yesterday. But I did get some form of exercise done every single day.
March 31, day 1511; April 1, day 1512; April 2, day 1513; April 3, day 1514; April 4, day 1515; April 5, day 1516; April 6, day 1517; April 7, day 1518; April 8, day 1519; April 9, day 1520; April 10, day 1521; April 11, day 1522; April 12, day 1523; April 13, day 1524; April 14, day 1525; April 15, day 1526; April 16, day 1527.
Today, April 17, is day 1528 of continuous exercise, and since I am more or less recovered from jet lag and also saw way too many souvenirs, sculptures, etc. referencing gladiators while I was in Italy, I am going to try to keep some of those memories in mind to keep me, y'know, exercising in earnest instead of in token form.
Classic warm up today
Gladiator challenge day 1: 3 sets 40 punches each
Full body strength: One Dumbbell workout, 15 lbs for everything except the one-arm tricep extensions, for which I switched to 10 lbs, level 1
Power Punch challenge day 1: 3 sets 60 punches each
60 seconds of extended-arm nonstop clench-unclench (I had thought to perhaps start the Battle Mage workout but opted to only go as far as 20 minutes)
30 seconds of nonstop arm scissors
That's 20 minutes of work-hard-enough-to-breathe-hard-and/or-sweat exercise post-warm-up, so day 1 for the COVID survey for the week. Flossed last night, that's day 1 of the floss streak, will edit later for today's flossing.

Thank you, and the same to all of you!

Today was day 1529. Oh, yesterday was day 2 of the floss streak... anyway, yeah, today 1529.

Classic warm-up
Power Punch Challenge day 2: 2 minutes of nonstop punches
Arena workout, level 1 but with EC. I wanted something cardio for the 'light training' or non-weight day of the Gladiator program, but right now I am dealing with pain in the ball of my left foot and do not want to engage in anything that requires me to jump or to land on the area in question. A combat workout seemed like a good idea. (Doctor appointment is Thursday to check out the foot. Pretty sure it's Morton's toe/Morton's neuroma but I want a doctor to examine it and say for sure.)
Gladiator challenge day 2: 40 seconds of one-arm plank time in one go. I did 45, because my preferred method of clocking these things is to fire up "Hammer To Fall" by Queen, and the first chorus ends with the words "we're just waiting for the hammer to fall" at the 45-second mark.

Total post-warmup workout time today was 9 minutes 52 seconds. I hope to extend to more cardio in future. I am not too fussed about it being a relatively short workout today because it was something of a rest day anyway; tomorrow will be at least 20 minutes of sweat/hard breathing time, upper-body and strength focus.

I will update later for flossing. ETA: day 3 flossing.

Today is day 1530.

Classic warm up
Power Punch Challenge day 3, 3 sets 70 punches
Gladiator Challenge day 3, 3 sets 10 lunges, but I did split squats instead of lunges
Big Back workout, modified. Renegade rows rather than renegade row push-ups (15 lb dumbbell for these). Arnold presses for shoulder presses (10 lbs per hand for these). 15 lbs for the tricep extensions. 15 lbs per hand for the deadlifts. 10 lbs per hand for the lat rows. 15 lbs per hand for the shrugs. 4 sets of everything, 15-20 seconds of rest between each set.
Total of 23:32 minutes post-warmup sweating/heavy breathing work so that's 2 for the COVID survey this week.

As far as I can tell the primary reason Big Back is classed as full body rather than upper body strength is because of the deadlifts. I am treating it as my upper body strength workout per the training plan regardless. Tomorrow will be lower body day. I will also edit this later to reflect today's flossing, once that happens. ETA: day 4 flossing.

Today is day 1531.

Classic warm up
Power punch challenge day 4, 2 minutes nonstop punches
Gladiator challenge day 4, 4 sets 40 punches each
Lower body strength workout taken from Muscle and Strength website:

4 sets 8 goblet squats, 17 lbs dumbbell
4 sets 8 stiff leg deadlifts, 17 lbs per hand
3 sets 12 plie squats/frog squats, 17 lbs
3 sets 12 standing calf raises, 17 lbs per hand, I need to consider doing seated calf raises next time the way my left foot feels
3 sets 12 hamstring curls on a mat on the floor, 17 lbs
3 planks, 20 seconds each

Rest periods of 20 to 30 seconds between sets. Total time spent heavy breathing or sweating post-warm-up, 23 minutes 32 seconds, day 3 for the COVID survey. Will edit for floss later Day 5 consecutive flossing.

Today is day 1532. My quads are sore from yesterday, which is quite understandable, and I am really glad that today is a casual training/rest day in the training plan.

Power Punch challenge day 5, 3 sets 80 punches each
Gladiator Challenge day 5, 45 seconds one-arm plank in one go

That's it, I'm good for the day. Oh, I'll floss later, but I"m good for now. ETA: day 6 flossing

Saturday was day 1533. I only did power punch challenge day 6, 2 minutes nonstop punching, but I also did day 7 flossing.
Sunday was day 1534. I did power punch day 7, 3 sets 90 punches each, and attempted the split squats of Gladiator instead of lunges, but my knees protested. I will attempt them again today.

Today is day 1535.
Classic warm up
Gladiator challenge day 6, 4 sets 10 split squats
Power Punch challenge day 8, 2 minutes non stop punching
Catalyst workout. Used 10 lb weights for everything except side tilts, which were 15 lbs. Also, Arnold presses for shoulder presses.

Total post-warmup heavy breathing/sweat time, 24 minutes 50 seconds, so that's day 1 for the COVID survey for the week. Will edit later for flossing. ETA: day 7 flossing

Yesterday was day 1536, and I spent most of it utterly exhausted, which is weird because it's not like I did an exceptionally heavy workout the day before. However, yesterday being the 'rest or light workout' day in the overall training program, I opted to do day 7 of the Gladiator challenge- three sets 60 punches each- and leave it at that. So day 1536. Also day 8 of flossing.

Today is day 1537.

Classic warm up
Power Punch challenge day 9. 3 sets 100 punches each
Agent of Chaos workout level 1 but with 15 lb dumbbells per hand
Doubled Epic Arms using 15 lb dumbbells
Gladiator Challenge day 8, one minute of 1-arm plank in a single go ("every night / and every day / a little piece of you is falling away")

Total heavy breathing/sweating time post-warm-up, 24 minutes 30 seconds, so that's day 2 for the COVID survey for the week. ETA: day 9 flossing.

Yesterday, April 27, was day 1538. I should have done lower body strength work, but I was tired and had the news of a coworker's COVID diagnosis hanging over me (I had been in his office on Tuesday, working on his computer with him standing a few feet behind me for some time; he left early because he wasn't feeling well and he got his positive test result late on Wednesday). I did at least do day 10 of Power Punch, 2 minutes of nonstop punching, so that's something.
Also yesterday's COVID test came back negative. Figured I'd been in his vicinity last Thursday, too, so the possibility existed of exposure, but... we'll see. Day 10 flossing.
