Day 1 of Hero's Journey: 10/29/22 (Saturday)

I started the journey leaving my home, making my way to wherever the path leads me. I have to do a lot of trekking, ducking below trees and climbing to many places. We will see where the path will lead me to tomorrow, as I, a new adventurer, need to go a little slow. (I'm merely level 1 and I do not have stamina for climbers)
-
Good news is, since I started dieting, and working out, I already lost nearly 4Ibs. It's just water weight but its a good start for me.
I also tried making an omelet afterwards, but it seems my flipping skills are horrible and I ended up with a yummy, cheesy, spicy scrambled eggs. Omelets should not be so
hard.

-Lunch: tuna salad

Evening:
-hamburger steak and cooked brussel sprouts
-sugar free caramel coffee with heavy cream & sugar free peanut butter cup

-Yoga before bed

So I was gonna get up this morning, realized how sore my arms and legs were and decided to move to an easier adaptation for this evening after work. I refuse to halt Hero's Journey but I wont push myself if my body is struggling. So I likely will do Day 3 and then some light yoga and meditation and then straight to bed this evening.
Debating between choosing jump rope or planks...

Day 5: 11/2/22 Wednesday
Morning

Woke up pretty late this morning, felt really exhausted. Decided to embrace it and slept in longer and just upped and left for work. Legs are sore from yesterday but otherwise my body feels pretty good still.

Breakfast: Atkin's shake

I'm definitely opting to switch to the Hammer (dumbbells) in Hero's Journey. Planks are fine but I think I wanna focus on arms a bit more and I overall just enjoy dumbbells more. Also I just had no time for Hero's Journey today, so I'm probably gonna try tomorrow morning and allow my body some necessary rest.

Going ahead and posting today's stuff cause I always get the meditation and yoga in anyway before bed as my routine, but my evening is gonna be a tad busy. My ankles are starting to act up with all the actual exercise and movement I'm making them do, and after todays workout made them feel a little worse. I'm not feeling as energetic today anyway despite the workout so I'm hoping my day overall will turn out okay. Here is to hoping my dad brings in those dumbbells today he just might, I wanna try and do more arm workouts.

Mmm Im making some notes and I'm definitely gonna have to adjust my routine for next week. This week has been very packed and busy and hard to schedule properly and I need to add some rest days. Can confirm however, I've lost like? 6 Ibs since last monday. It's water weight but its a start! (started at 305.5. Goal is to get to 250 right now)

Day 8: 11/5/22 Saturday

I went to bed LATE last night. Slept in hard and I woke up and my legs were ?? sort of sore. My best assumption was cause of the 3 minute leg hold. Pretty worrying when im about to do a leg day. Decided to clean up my room so maybe the feeling of me having space will help me workout. Also looking into a dumbbell set, maybe with a barbell. Amazon has...pretty bad ones, most of them are plastic and and I don't trust that- also for pretty high prices? I prefer metal handle bars vs plastic and I know that would probably be more expensive. I'd like for it to go a max of maybe 66Ibs, or 50Ibs. If anyone has recommendations share please.

Will edit to check these off as I go.

Morning:

:v:Day 7 of
Daily Hug Challenge
:v: Day 7 of Daily Push-up Challenge: 11 Push-ups x3 sets
:v:Day 5 of
Power Punch: 80 Punches x3 sets

:v:Hero's Journey Day 7: Total Points: 950
  • 20 High Knees
  • 2 Jump-Ins X (Could not do the jump ins, I tried twice. Replaced it by doing 3 pushups after high knees and then 5 step ups as that was the only thing I could think of to replace it)
5 x5 Sets
:v: Bonus Quest: Add Push-up after high knees.

Life ended up kicking me in the butt mentally, and physically, and I did not accomplish all I wanted last time.
So were going back at it again ;w; Also thank you to those who wished me happy birthday.

This is more of a brain dump of what id like to do to get back into the grind and what id like to start doing to help mentally keep me accountable

- Im not doing Keto anymore, doesnt work with me in the long run. Going the calorie deficit route and cutting out some dairy and fast food. Thats more manageable

- In terms of challenges and programs 30 days of LIIT is probably the better option for me right now as something consistent and will modify with weights if I so choose (I really like dumbells lol). And probably do more stretching and walks throughout the week.

- Much more manageable goal of losing 20 pounds within a 5 month period.

- Will start writing more daily gratitude and journaling

9.16.23 Saturday

Weighed myself this morning. I haven't really checked my weight since Sep 4th (I was 314Ibs goal is to 280) and saw Im down to 310.5 from non-strict calorie deficit alone so that's super neat.
Ate a lovely breakfast of fried eggs w/ mustard and Canadian bacon.
Took some time to let food settle and practiced my language learning!

:v: Classic Warm up
:v: 30 Days of LIIT Day 1: 3x Sets
:v:Biceps Only Workout (I did 2 sets of each instead of 4 with 8Ib weights)

I hoped theyd have dairy-free protein powder cause Whey of course has dairy and im lactose intolerant. They didnt. :/ Now i gotta do some searching. if anyone has good? i guess it would be vegan, brand of protein powder let me know.

Sorry for the late reply. I tried several brands and powders. The only one that "worked" for me was pea protein powder. My favorite of those had no real brand. It had no taste whatsoever, and no additives.
