"Our Greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising every time we fall"
As for me, I mostly spend my time picking myself up after every fall, so there’s barely any time left to actually improve. At least in the world of fitness… in real life I’m already a pro at falling and recovering. 💪 😁
Hey, as long as you keep getting back up! The struggle is real sometimes

Hello, you have wonderful motto: Our Greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising every time we fall
Thanks!

Took me a bit longer than expected to get my hike in, but thats ok, i did get it in eventually :)

on the 1st I did 2 hikes, albeit slow with a lot of stops and such to look at cool things. First one, according to alltrails, was .67 miles @ 28 mins and the second one was 2.59 miles in 1hr 32m and the last hill and stairs about did me in. I think I was dehydrated. Saw a lot of cool things and was grateful for the experience(minus the dying)

Nov 2nd I went on a hike with my family including my dog and my grandbabies. This trip was 1.93m in 1hr 14m. My grandson was quite the character and slowed us a bit and caused us to head back sooner than we wanted, but thats ok.

Nov 3rd I did a relatively tough Zumba class (1hr)where i burned 545 cals :tired:

Nov 4th I did a shorter 'hike' just walking my dog on a horse trail near me. 1.28m in 36 minutes

Nov 5th...nothing on the books yet today but 10 mins on a twist board thing my coworker brough in lol. As its late and work has done me in mentally that may be all I get into today.

Nov 6th - took my dog for a short walk .64m in 32 min as we were working on training him so I had to keep stopping and correcting. I had to cut this walk short due to unsettled tummy(good thing I didn't go to my zumba class).

Nov 7th - hike with a friend. 1.95 miles in 52 min. I would've explored more, but we got a late start and it got dark too soon. Very cool foggy evening though.

Nov 8th - went on a cave tour w my family. The walking was slow stop and go(as was the long drive there)so not considered a work out, but there were stairs throughout. Then I took them to see the sand cave I had gone to last week, as our intentions was to get some hiking in while we were in the area, but due to our later than expected arrival because of traffic, we only had time for a short hike. My daughter was thrilled with the sights and the grandbabies, well, one of the 2 anyways, enjoyed the adventure. The other is a bit to little to be down running around this uneven and slick area so she was upset lol.

I want to start logging some longer, or, at least more challenging hikes but the short days and other obligations make that difficult. The most important thing right now is to just stay active. Rebuild habits. So much harder to do in late fall/winter months though.

Nov 9th - 3.12 (per Alltrails, 3.31 according to fitbit) in 1hr24min hike. This Wild Hyacinth Trail at Turkey Run was challenging enough, but not so challenging that I felt like I was about to fall out, so perfect trail for my fitness level I think. The trail itself is only about 2 miles, and I wasnt ready to stop so I wandered off onto another path which lead to a silo you could climb to the top and look out. The stairs were short(if that makes sense) so the climb up wasnt bad at all and I only started to feel the burn when I was near the top.

Nov 10th - rather challenging Zumba class. Lots of jumping today, and my legs were already sore from the hikes, plus a new challenging arm song that had my upper arms almost cramping lol. 577 cal burn in 58mins

edit to add: I felt stronger today in class, even though it was challenging

Nov 15 - 5 miles (longest yet!) 2hrs 19m at Broad Run Park

Nov 16th - Scotts Gap Trail, Highest elevation since starting alltrails. 3.76m in 1h 51m 643ft elevation gain and 968 cal burn. According to fitbit it was 4.26m with 1020 cal burn.
Definitely my toughest hike to date. Every other person I saw had hiking sticks...maybe a future investment for me, as I tripped and lost my footing several times, i was dropping f bombs like confetti. Took my pup with me, who I am still trying to work on his training for stuff like this so he doesn't kill me. He is getting better... but still needs some work.

Just downloaded Express Tone as I need some strength training in my routine. Wish me luck!

Despite still not feeling great I did Zumba
Nov 20: 60ish minutes zumba. 648 cal burned. It was a tough class that I struggled through. I tried to keep my energy up, but it dwindled quickly.

Nov 21 - been a lazy day. went to the movies for a double feature and now debating doing day 3 on express tone or giving myself a break today. Im pretty sore...well, my legs are

Thanks for the vibes guys! Much appreciated!

Fell off again. But Im not giving up!
My (ex)MIL passed away Tuesday. My kids and I spent the whole day with her Sunday. Monday I wasnt up for Zumba. Thanksgiving Thursday and more family time Friday spent with our out of towners.

Nov 29 - took my daughter and the littles to Buttermilk Falls, alltrails tracked me at 1.9m. Slow going because of the littles, but we did some climbing around the water falls to get some better views, which was amazing and fun. There was a surprise bonus of being at the right place at the right time to see Mr and Mrs Claus roll into the little town. Which was pretty cool considering we had no idea that was going on.
