Completed: Vitality Day 1, Level 1
Streak: 1 Day
Like other versions of this log I have started this one to document my progress in completing the Vitality exercise set. This time it is because I am coming out of physical therapy. Since I do not want to end up in a situation like that ever again, I will be focused on completing the Vitality exercise program first, then moving on to Foundation-Light or a similar series.
While I enjoy the clothes I own they are not optimal for exercise. I should probably fish out the old gym shorts and t-shirts for when I exercise. Everything is so stiff at the moment that I’m not moving very far. And three sets leave me very winded. Still, it’s a better start than most, so I’ll take it.
I’m keeping a copy of these logs on my computer. In order to keep from spending too much time on the forums I’ll make a forum post on Saturday. I’m taking college online, and 7 week blocks are no joke.
My personal goal is to reach a level of fitness such that I can regularly complete ‘hard’ level exercises. Hopefully I am able to complete my CompTIA certifications and start making enough money to cover health insurance and start taking BBJ classes. There’s a few Gracie dojos in the area that have 6am classes which would work well for me.

Completed: Vitality Day 2, Level 1
Streak: 2 Days
I almost skipped today, because I wasn’t feeling 100% and got caught up in other things. But I decided to push ahead and complete this set of exercises. I’m glad I did.
Today was an arm day. Since the PT was for my left arm, this is of special importance to me. The clinic says I pretty much hit all my therapeutic goals, but that just means I’m back were I’m started: dissatisfied with my own strength and physical ability. I’m not going to become Mr. Universe, obviously, but I do desire to have a degree of physical competence.
Shoulder taps and side shoulder taps went pretty well. It is at arm extensions I began to flag. In fact, the way my arm was shaking was similar to when the therapists increased the weights or went up to a higher resistance band. I’m not happy with this at all, but it seems to be my starting point.
Perhaps I should adjust my posting schedule to Wednesdays and Saturdays? Get some advice or corrections? The summertime is brutal in its own way, but it’s not the same as Winter tends to be.

Completed: Vitality, Day 3, Level 1
Streak: 1 Day
I ended up having an attack of insomnia, and needed to help my mother go to town. So I slept for all but a couple of hours last night. Those couple of hours I didn’t sleep I filled out a job application. I don’t expect anything to come of that, but you never know.
Today’s set is very straightforward. That said, it’s clear that I am very stiff. I expect it’ll get better as I work my way through the program.
I suppose I’ll update once every three or four entries, instead of putting a specific day on it.
