"Sometimes the why is more important than the action."
You got this @MamaBear it's always hard finding the balance of what you feel is best for you and how to be the best example for the chilluns. I'm in the same boat of wanting to decrease where I'm at but with my two 5 and under I want them to learn balance with food and try and avoid the bad side of diet culture as much as possible. It sounds like you're doing a great job and well on your way.

Your work challenges sound fantastic, it's great to hear that there's a supportive group there.
It is difficult to find a balance especially when I feel that I am living at such a fast pace.

I have tried to practice being mindful. I have time to slow down. I have time to plan. I have time to discard unnecessary activities that take up space in my life. I feel it is good to show kids this practice as well. I hope I can continue to encourage you to keep practicing. Sometimes it takes a while to find what works for you and your family, even if it is something that doesn't look like others.

The 45 day challenge includes:
Write out the goals you want to achieve. I am going to get this done today and share.
Pick a diet of your choice and stick to it I have decided to go with a more Mediterranean diet.
Eat three veggies and two fruits a day I have not consistently eaten fruit. I have had a salad for lunch everyday.
Exercise with intent 30 minutes a day I would like to make exercise in the mornings a priority it is easy to get sidetracked the rest of the day.
Help another person every day I work as a nurse so this one is easy
Read 10 pages every day I will have to put recreational books on hold since I started back to college. @PapaBear is also going to be taking 18 hours this semester.
Drink water 80 ounces for women and 100 ounces for men I have had 20 ounces of water this morning.
Visualize the person you want to be three times a day I will be working on this today too.

I did have a problem with overeating and cravings in the begining but I think I am leveling out now. I am using my fitness pal to track my intake. I will be sharing my goals later today if I get my college work done this morning. @PapaBear and I will be going away for the weekend. I won't have much cell service so I can't update. I will updated you on Tuesday when we return.

4-minute warmup: 1 set
Leg exercises: 2 set
Pelvic Floor exercises: 1 set
Steps: 3,381
Weight: 233 pounds (-4 pounds) 01/16/24

The 8 week challenge includes:
week 1-2: hydration: 40 ounces, exercises: 30 minutes and sleep: 5 hours 37 minutes
The 45 day challenge includes:
Write out the goals you want to achieve. I am going to get this done today and share. I promise I will work on this today. I don't know why this is hard to settle myself and do it. I just keep putting it off.
Pick a diet of your choice and stick to it I have decided to go with a more Mediterranean diet.
Eat three veggies and two fruits a day I have not consistently eaten fruit. I have had a salad for lunch everyday. I am not really sure how to implement eating more fruits and veggies. I have noticed since trying to keep my diet under control I have excluded portions of my diet like diary.
Exercise with intent 30 minutes a day I would like to make exercise in the mornings a priority it is easy to get sidetracked the rest of the day.
Help another person every day I work as a nurse so this one is easy
Read 10 pages every day I read Nursing Leadership and the Great Deception about a medical experiment in Macon County Alabama in the early 1920's.
Drink water 80 ounces for women and 100 ounces for men I have had 40 ounces of water this morning.
Visualize the person you want to be three times a day I will be working on this today too. I know I need to put this in writing so that I am able to measure my progress. I know that in the past I have trouble with disappointment and not achieving my goals. I am not sure if this is why I keep putting this off.
