Hi revsal,
Really glad to hear you are starting a "new game"!
If there is pain in your shins and the top of your feet, I would recommend stopping the exercise temporarily, and apply cold on the areas. It is likely caused by inflammation, and cold can act as a local analgesic for the pain.
edit: I realize not everyone may know how to apply cold. You can apply cold for 10-15 minutes, then stop, and apply cold again after a few hours, and notice if this improves your pain. It would be preferable to avoid doing cold + heat unless a physician recommends a protocol. Rule of thumb: you can never make this kind of pain worse with cold, but you could with heat (heat can worsen inflammation, it depends on the root cause of the pain).
If you were not doing these activities before, this sudden increase in activity may be happening too fast for your body. You could rest for a few days, and try again, with just the walking, no jogging, go gently and respect your limits, and see how it goes.
In the meantime, you can do upper body exercises and movements that do not involve your shins and feet.
