Running improvement
Hey everyone.
I would like to do the amazon training plan. The full body strength days, I'd like to do either what the name implies or on occasions some metcon. One of the days can be either cardio or combat, I'd like to do combat on those days. And on the last cardio day I'd do some treadmill running. I'm also thinking of adding one of the challenges to build up to a pull up, which is something I've never been able to do with good form.
What I want to know is. Would I see any improvement on the running? I'd like to build up to a 5km, but I'm in no hurry to get there as my main focus is strength. Could I use something like 8 weeks to 5k as a guide and just go through the days one week at a time?
I might move to a daily program later in the future. I just find that I try to do to much in the beginning. So I'm hoping something with days off gives my body time to recover before I get burnt out and stop.
