At the 50+ gym they have a line of dumbbells going up to 65lbs. On one of my workout days I'll do single one lift and press. Start with dumbbell between legs, squat and pull-up and do a do a standing one arm shoulder press, then the other side. I'll start with a lighter 25lb DB then each time pick the next heavier DB. See what my max is, so far have done 45lb DB. Also known as a dumbbell snatch, the dumbbell is kept close to the body like you would with a KB. My goal is the 50lb DB.

I don't do this as a ballistic movement more of a muscle strength focus
