"doing grad school and getting buff"
Somehow, even though I am interning and my job is to literally answer phone calls, I still got startled twice when the phone rang during my shift with the suicide hotline today. Waiting for a crisis call is it's own special form of mindfulness. Then I ate leftover quesadilla for lunch, thought I had a meeting at one, realized it was actually two, fiddled around and did nothing until then, and finally got to do my workout:

  • Side Quest Level III, modified for a heavy bag, adding up to a total of:
    • 280 punches (modified elbow strike)
    • 140 uppercuts (modified overhead punches)
    • 140 backfists
    • 140 hooks (modified side chops)
After which I had a well deserved protein shake with a banana. My partner goes to his board game group tonight, so he'll see me for a bit before I have the house to myself a little while longer... I should probably do schoolwork but I might end up just watching a movie. I'll think about it before deciding if I'll be responsible or not... it'll probably end up being a bit of both.
