Working out with Ehlers Danlos

Greetings All,
Just joined DAREBEE a few hours ago and am excited about the prospects! I was hoping to find some workouts on here designed with Ehlers Danlos in mind, the hypermobility type. I have found two youtube channels that show some modified movements, but wanted more options. If anyone can help out with this question, it would be most appreciated! :D

Welcome! :hi:
I think that with hEDS you simply have to remember not to hyper-extend. Sounds simple, yeah. So with punches, for example you must be controlled, not just throw your arm out. If you're not very far along on your fitness journey, you might find it advisable to avoid a lot of the more high impact workouts (all that jumping can be hard on knees and dodgy ankles), and maybe support yourself gently with one hand when doing lunges or such so that you don't overbalance. You might like to focus on tendon strength workouts - you can use the filter in the Workouts tab. Stabilising the joints is the important thing to do first. Workouts that focus on balance are also good - you could try some of the yoga workouts or programmes. Perform the exercises with a sharp focus on form, and do things perhaps a little more slowly than you might otherwise want to - calf raises, for example, go slowly down rather than drop.

Thank you for responding! I will keep all these tips in mind. I appreciate your help.
