"Striving to be the change."
A recent content analysis of fitspiration videos on TikTok found that 60% of the videos presented incorrect (48%) and even harmful (12%) information.
The study also found that most Fitspo content was posted by social media influencers who provided no "qualifications or credentials in health, fitness, or nutrition in their TikTok biographies," and concluded "fitspiration content on TikTok promotes gendered body image ideals that objectify both male and female bodies," and that video captions on these videos "persistently promote appearance-based reasons for exercise, along with several harmful themes known to negatively impact body image."

I am so grateful that here at DAREBEE we enjoy a wealth of fitness information, workouts, and fitness programs all developed by a team with significant and relevant fitness industry experience that follows the latest research in exercise science, not unsupported trends or content designed primarily to bring in advertising/sponsorship dollars (which DAREBEE does not do at all).

I am further grateful for our awesome DAREBEE Community where we recognize one another's struggles and achievements and support one another, not in chasing unrealistic, often-Photoshopped, ideals but in striving to be the best versions of ourselves we can be.

We have something truly special and valuable here.
