I like to use a plain or vanilla flavoured protein powder sometimes like the one by pulsin. It's vegan and you can add a scoop to most recipes to boost the protein.
Huel also do good vegan powders in their black label range. Sometimes you can get freebies when you first sign up and they do a subscription option too.

Track your calories using an app (like MyFitnessPal) to ensure you're hitting the right amounts for fat loss and muscle gain. Stay in a slight calorie deficit for fat loss but ensure you're consuming enough protein to maintain muscle mass (aim for 1.6-2.2 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight).

Along with calories it's best track, and probably, increase your protein intake in your daily meals to build muscle.
