Today’s Workout:

Darebee Warmup

Standing Abs Challenge Day 12

EOTD 30 Squats

Two Minute Plank - 1 set

Arms and Abs Strength Training- 1 hour, 44 minutes

Stretching: Stretched and Stretching for Runners

My left arm still hurts so for pushups I only did kneeling pushups- 5 sets, 12 reps each set. I think I should’ve done a bit more lighter on the weights and sets. I do have a high tolerance for pain but I don’t want to make it worse. I’m not giving up on improving my pushups, just need to give my arm a chance to heal. My cat tried to attack me this morning. He backed away and ran when he saw me looking at him. :imp: He had the zoomies at 4:30 am! It seems to be his favorite time of day lately.

Leg Day Strength Training— 1 hour, 45 minutes

Stretching: Morning Stretching and Hips and Glutes

I was able to visit my daughter in the hospital yesterday! Her pastor had some time in the afternoon and she (yes a woman pastor) took me. My daughter was so happy to see us. I brought some clothes she needed as well. Even though they do wash their clothes in this hospital, she was glad to have it. She’s doing better but it may be a few more days until she comes home. I can’t wait! We miss her so much.

EOTD 1 Arm Plank Hold 30 seconds each side

Two Minute Plank - 1 set

Arms and Abs Strength Training- 1 hour, 11 minutes

Stretching: Stretched, and Stretching for Runners

Had to decrease the size of the weights and amount of reps, sets because of my left arm. :sadkitty:I’m terrible at these things, and with judging how bad my injuries get. (If you knew me well, you’d think I was an old pro!) So next time I might just either decrease the weight for that arm, or do range of motion exercises on it while keeping the usual weight for my right arm. This reminds me a little about the dog attack injury a few years ago, though that occurred on my right arm and was obviously much worse. My husband jokes that I’m in the Injury of the Month Club. :muahaha:

On a happier note: my daughter is scheduled to come home from the hospital tomorrow! We’re all pretty excited. Even the cat has shown signs he’s missing her. Her birthday is next week, so it’s another reason to celebrate!

Standing Abs Challenge Day 15

Workout of the Day: Journey Before Destination- 3 sets

PPL Legs B -5 sets

Muscle Factory Lower Body - 5 sets (did 1 two minute squat hold in place of the wall sit)

Brute Leg Day-4 sets (For all 3 workouts I modified the single leg deadlifts as a staggered 1 leg deadlift) 1 hour, 2 minutes

Force of Nature (modified first 3 exercises to be low impact) 3 sets

I Love Squats-5 sets

Knee Strength-3 sets 39 minutes

Stretching: Fighters Stretching

Really excited that my daughter is coming home today. Thank you everyone for all your support through this. :gots:

EOTD: 30 Squat Jacks

Two Minute Plank -1 set

Arms and Abs Strength Training - 1 hour, 35 minutes

Stretching: Stretched and Stretching for Runners

Still being careful with my left arm. Did 5 sets of kneeling pushups and either used a lighter weight in my left hand or just a resistance band, depending on the exercise. I've forgotten to add that I am using my new resistance bands with my weights for more of a challenge. My arm doesn't hurt much most of the time. Just a little when I'm carrying something heavy or obviously when working out. It's pretty tolerable but I'm still trying to be careful.

My came home from the hospital yesterday. She's doing well. Still recovering and getting used to being home after nearly a week. She's glad to be home, and we glad too. Looking forward to celebrating her birthday next week, though all the memories of her birth, etc always come back. It doesn't always feel like it when you're sleep deprived but the time goes too fast.

Combat Light (WOTD)- 5 sets

Whirlwind-3 sets (for the arm circles and wide arm circles I did 15 seconds forwards then 15 seconds backwards)

Wake Up Energized- 3 sets 46 minutes

Stretching: Ultimate Morning Stretching Part 1 and Part 2

We’re expecting 5-8 inches of snow tomorrow. So excited! I’m still a kid when it comes to the snow. In fact, I love “bad” weather! We don’t have to shovel since we live in an apartment complex and don’t have a car. If any neighbors need help I might lend a hand though. We have a few elderly and disabled people in the building I live in.

Around 6 am we gave the cat some treats that had catnip in it. Boy did he have the zoomies! Made it a little challenging to stretch when you have a mini ninja cat with claws going crazy around you. :shine:

I rarely mention this in my check in thread that I do go walking a lot. I just forget. But yesterday Daughter #2 and I went walking around the apartment complex searching for 2 cats. A friend who lives several buildings over has been caring for 2 feral cats and she told me Friday that they had gone missing for a few days. So even though it was freezing and raining, my daughter and I went around searching, doing a number of squats (looking under cars, in bushes etc) for an hour. We asked a few people if they’d seen the cats. No sign of them. I texted my friend when we got back, only to find out they were at her apartment in the morning. :shoked: (My friend is recovering from cancer and months of chemotherapy so she totally forgot to tell me) On the bright side we got a good workout. My friend and her cats are worth it. Next time I’m gonna ask for an update before doing that again!

It’s gonna snow ❄️ in a while. So excited! :shine::dkitty:

Arms and Abs Strength Training- 1 hour, 52 minutes

Stretching: Stretched, and Stretching for Runners

My left arm is still a little bit sore, so even though my workout was longer than I did last week, I’m still being careful with it. It’s hard to judge how much or how little weight, reps, etc. If it starts to hurt, I go lighter on the weight.
