Hi
@justanotherbee
DAREBEE doesn't have any 12-month (or 10-month) Programs. But you can certainly run DAREBEE Programs back-to-back to fill up an entire year (or ten months, or whatever period of time you're aiming for). Your best option, of course, is just to get started, and then to keep going. So you're in a year-long contest with your nephew. Okay. But your fitness journey doesn't end when the contest ends.
The most important thing you can do is:
get started.
The second most important thing you can do is:
keep going.
It truly is that simple.
Start with DAREBEE's
Fitness Test. It's a very quick test that will tell you the best level of DAREBEE Program for where you're at in your fitness journey right now and provide you with links to Workouts and Programs at that level. From there, you can take a short
quiz that asks about your training goals and preferences, any equipment you might have (it's perfectly fine if you have none--most DAREBEE workouts don't require anything other than your own body and a willingness to do the work), and the amount of time you have available to train. When you get to the final question, I recommend you select "Tell me exactly what to do every day." This option will suggest an appropriate Program for you do to, which I think is the best option for getting started because it takes away any indecision paralysis and, as the answer choice says, literally tells you exactly which workout to do every day. With this method you do train
every day. (You don't need to worry about "rest days". DAREBEE's Programs take your body's need for recovery into account with
active recovery workouts that ease off on the intensity to enable you to keep training every day without burning out.) This is beneficial because it helps you to build consistency and turn working out into a habit. Which is exactly what you need.
Get started today. And good luck!
