New User Here, Have Some Questions!

I’m a new user on this website and a beginner in working out. I just finished reading the “Get Started” section, but I’m a little confused about some parts.
  1. Pick your starting point. I chose the Foundation program for beginners, which lasts 30 days. Do I need to do this for 30 days in a row, or is it self‑paced?
  2. The Daily Features. From what I understand, these are like side quests or extra activities you can do. I get the concept, but I’m not clear on when to actually do them. Could you give me a scenario of when you’d use these challenges or should I just ignore it?

For example, with the monthly challenge, do I need to complete 30 days of that program while also doing 30 days of my main workout (Foundation)? Or should I just pick certain days to do both, or only one? I’d love to hear about your experiences with how you use these features in your routine, because I’m not sure how to fit them in.

  3. What are the tips you can give to new users that are using this website or starting out in general?

@galileo hi and welcome to the community!

1. It's designed as 30 consecutive days - active rest days are already built into the schedule. That said, life happens, and it's absolutely fine to take longer if you need to. The program will still work either way.
2. The Workout of the Day is an ongoing feature you can follow indefinitely. Each day targets something different - cardio, strength, abs, stretching, and so on - in a rotating pattern we schedule 30+ days at a time. The pattern shifts with the seasons: around the winter holidays workouts tend to be lighter since it's a hectic time of year, while heading into summer you'll see more high-intensity sessions and ab work.

As for how to use it - it's genuinely flexible. Some...

As for how to use it - it's genuinely flexible. Some people follow the WOD instead of running a program. Others pick it up between programs to stay active without committing to a full schedule. And yes, you can absolutely treat it as a side quest: just add it on top of your Foundation workout on days when you have the energy, or drop down to a single set if you want the credit without the extra load. There's no wrong way to use it.

I hope this helps! :thankyou: I'll leave the tips for other members to add.

I'm also relatively new here - about 2.5 months? But one thing I wish I'd noticed way sooner is the collections!! If you haven't found them yet, they're on the main menu with everything else. There's tons of exercises grouped by different themes or areas of focus etc. I usually do my program in the morning right after waking up, but sometimes later in the day I feel restless & don't have a specific workout in mind. I find the collections SUPER helpful for narrowing it down.
