Post-bariatric workouts and progressions?

Is anyone else post bari and unsure where to start and how to progress? I was doing very very well, but then I started going too hard at the gym (I guess) and now I have several injuries and I feel like I'm starting all over again?

You're definitely not alone . Many people find that recovery isn't a straight line, especially after bariatric surgery. It's easy to feel great, do a little too much, and then have to scale things back because of an injury.

The good news is that you haven't lost all of your progress. Your body remembers, and rebuilding is usually much faster than starting from scratch.

If you're recovering from injuries, it's worth getting clearance from your healthcare provider or physical therapist first...

If you're recovering from injuries, it's worth getting clearance from your healthcare provider or physical therapist first. Once you're ready, start with shorter, lower-intensity workouts and focus on consistency rather than intensity. On DAREBEE, Light Workouts and Programs are a great place to rebuild your fitness gradually, and you can always modify exercises to suit your current abilities.

Listen to your body, progress one step at a time, and don't compare where you are today with where you were before the injuries. Every workout you complete is moving you forward again. You've done it once, and you can absolutely do it again :vibes:
