I woke up at 3am... and got up for a few minutes. Saw the fibre is back on. What a random time to notice it! And then went back to sleep!
:hehehe:

We had a weird day. Extreme heat, to some thunder (very little) to a few massive raindrops. Strong wind. And the weather is now very pleasant. Cool and blue sky before sunset.

I did some Yoga and stretches - like usual. 13 minutes. At 10am I did a Cassey Ho arms workout and then a lower body workout. They were around 40 minutes in total. I then did another 14 minutes of stretches. And I also walked on a machine for 40 minutes.

I will probably start a new program either tomorrow or over the weekend.

So ... I didn't post for a few days. Nothing much changed.

Yet, I've been a little upset. I found my hair is falling out again!
Hair What GIF

Not as bad as last December when it was constant bundles. This time it's when I wash or brush my hair it comes out, slightly less than last year, but also little bundles or clumps... my new regrowth hair is long enough to be tied up, but might have stopped growing the past 3 weeks. Last year it was after trauma and then the worse flu. This time I would say it's hormonal most likely. (Perimenopause, well, in my opinion what I feel and notice). I HONESTLY don't know what to do. I am using the best vitamins I can afford. I eat "okay", maybe 75% healthy.... maybe even up to 85% healthy. I still use too much salt, try to limit mayonnaise to twice a week, and struggle to cut bread/wheat products which gives me bad skin. I get enough sleep (well, I got myself a new comforter and body cream which make sleeping with a nice scent and material more pleasant, and it is helping me sleep better again!). I even still lose weight gradually every few weeks I notice I shed instead of gain. Which .... everything seems okay.

Stress.... hormones... will be the culprit right now. I honestly just feel like life threw me a curveball again. Health wise I feel good. It's just the stupid hair shedding. And I know I am under tremendous stress. I stressed since I was a kid. I don't stop overthinking and worrying about everything.

I am actually considering to increase my exercises again. Like drastically increase it. Cardio in the morning, and strength in the evening. Most likely 30 Days of Cardio and Ironborn at this stage.

I was not home for most of the day, so I am going to start my programs either tomorrow or on Sunday. I'm not bothering to wait until the 1st of the month.

Just thought I vent my frustrations here.... why do I even need hair!? 😆 I should just shave it all, then I won't have the added stress of losing it!? Right!? (Sadly, I have a big, long face, big nose and oddly shape head... so shaving my hair would not do my face justice!!!) 🤭🫣

I actually tested my theory this morning. I could be allergic to peanuts.
I'm pretty sure a food allergy is not something you can figure out in one morning. A severe food allergy that causes you to go into anaphylactic shock, sure. Those show up quickly! But an allergy that's causing excessive hair loss? I don't think so. That's going to take a while to show up, and take a while after you stop ingesting the problem food to stop too. (Even chemotherapy-induced hair loss usually takes at least 2 weeks to begin.)

@Laura Rainbow Dragon Yes, peanuts alone won't cause my hair to fall out, you are right. I might be super paranoid by the reaction I had!

I've had many false positives of allergic reactions over the years. That is why I don't bother to go for tests anymore. As a kid I was severely allergic to grass. Yet, today I can walk and briefly sit on grass. Lets call it a delayed immune reaction caused by "????" something unknown, (gluten, perhaps) and peanuts just triggered the reaction this time. Whatever it was, was by far the most severe skin reaction I've had so far. Very, very VERY itchy. And burning. From my toes to my scalp.

I even have scabs inside my ears and nose today. 😩 I feel 100% fine. I still look 30% "dotty". Have many little dots all over my body. I did take activated charcoal and some medication which gave me some relief.

I decided to just eat watermelon today - for breakfast, lunch, a snack and dinner. I bought a large watermelon. Some of it I can freeze, some goes for the 5 tortoises, but the rest I have to eat within a day or two. There is also nice big plump strawberries in the garden, a few string beans, spinach and apricots. I will give most of that to the tortoises ... maybe I might take most the spinach for myself. I'm happy the "new" squirrel didn't notice the apricots! 😅 There was 55 on the small tree. They are nearly twice as big as the ones from the shop. I had some yesterday and they are very sweet.
1000062674.jpg

Mine left, vs store bought ones, right.

So I did start with my exercises. Probably not ideal with only eating the watermelon alone today, but I didn't have major issues due to that. My energy levels was maybe a 9.5/10 this morning when I woke up, and maybe a 7.5/10 right now. I feel good today.

Am
5am: Cardio Light - Day 1
7am: Movement exercises/Stretches
7:35am: Primal Strength - Day 1 (didn't do the pull-ups*)
Noon
15:20pm Ironborn - Day 1 (only 5kg weight)

I wasn't quite sure which programs to combine. They worked for me today! (But do they make sense together!? 🤔) Personally, I don't have a specific exercise or fitness goal. I probably won't claim the badge for Primal Strength at the end of the program, since I will not be doing the pull-ups.

The day has been good. I try hard to minimize my stress, to stay positive and not to overthink things.

1000062663.jpg

Ps. She found the plant I tried to hide from her on the brick side of the house. She find this plant nearly every single day, no matter where I try to hide it in the garden! She climbed up small stairs to find the plant!!! 🤣🤣🤣 She deserve 10 strawberries for that!! And no, those aren't anything odd inside the plant. It's the container itself that has detail on it, and the plant grew over the side and over the penis looking things. 🤔 Can't even recall what the container looks like without the plant. I don't know why it looks like that!!! 🫣

Monday, 2 December:
6:20am: Cardio Light - Day 2
7:35am: Stretching/warm up + Primal Strength - Day 2
15:30pm Ironborn - Day 2 (only 5kg weight)

I didn't have as much energy as yesterday. Struggled slightly to get out of bed this morning. Cardio Light was easy, and Primal Strength was fine - I enjoy this program. Ironborn was harder. Could also be because my energy felt lower, and it got warmer when I worked out. All went well today.

There wasn't any issues the past 2 days. Enjoyed all of the programs. The weather has been pleasant and cooler (while there is a heatwave in other provinces!) We might get rain tonight and tomorrow.

My energy level is mediocre ... 6/10. Yesterday, it was similar.

Thursday, 5 December:
after 6am: Cardio Light - Day & Stretching/warm up + Primal Strength - Day 5
13pm Ironborn - Day 5

I did not actually check the time when I did my first workout. This morning was hard to get up, and I didn't check the time. I guess it was around 6:25am .... maybe. Primal Strength was just stretching, so I did it too. Ironborn had tricep extentions (one of my favourite upperbody exercises), and arnold press, lateral raises and push-ups. I struggled with the push-ups, since my hands is sore. I have been deep cleaning the house this week.

My energy levels was maybe a 5/10 this morning and a 7/10 this evening.

Friday, 13 December:
Am:

Stretching/ warm up
Cardio Light - Day 13
Primal Strength - Day 13
Afternoon:
Ironborn - Day 13

I haven't had issues since I last posted. All has been well. Struggled here and there with one odd exercise. Yesterday my energy levels felt low and Ironborn was much harder to do. This morning I know Ironborn will be hard again.

Our weather is perfect at 24C. I honestly don't know why my city is cool this time of the year. We should be in full summer heat! I won't complain. I love it!

I gave up drinking energy drinks the past few months. I am happy with my decision. They might be tasty and give a temporary boost of energy, but I can finally say I have no cravings for them anymore. It's been probably the hardest thing to give up on. I wasn't addicted to them, but it was one of those little pleasures in life for me, especially on warmer days or after a harder workout. I didn't need them. And I am now not missing them anymore. The final few I actually diluted with sparkling water. It helped tremendously, to drink them less.

I haven't touched peanuts nor any products with nuts. My skin cleared up, and I have no mouth issues either. So far I can't see other foods that causes an issue (except gluten and fruit juices - mainly happened with one brand so far). I will incorporate other nuts soon, and see how it goes. I also had to start drinking my coffee little more diluted in the mornings, after eating breakfast. I can't drink strong black coffee on an empty stomach anymore.

I am back.

So much happened this year. My mom had a bad fall (she recovered 100% from a very severe concussion). My dad went from 130kg to 61kg within a few months (early prostate cancer, but he is doing very well, and he also had sepsis in September after 4 different antibiotics did not work after he had an UTI, but he recovered super fast, and he also do not need insulin injections anymore!) and I have done zero exercises so far this year, but lost weight and kept it off without trying (... simply because I had a very active and busy lifestyle caring for my parents). Also all my issues with deficiencies and allergies and odd reactions to random foods vanished. Need nothing more than 1 multivitamin a day. Occasionally, a little extra Vitamin B. I'm still sensitive to gluten unfortunately.

...And I don't own a cat... but a neighbor's cat owns me. He is less than 2 years old. He and his bonded mate (she is too scared to come close to us) caught a mouse this morning! I can't complain.
:love-attack:
1000087196.jpg

I want to start a 30-day program again. Not quite sure where to start. I'm skinny fat-fat-fat. 😅 I have a lot of belly fat and my legs stay very thick. My weight itself is normal. I find that I eat quite healthy lately (mostly salads, veggies, chicken, hardly ever red meat, hardly any sugar, almost no extra salt), but I do not drink enough water daily. SO WATER and EXERCISE IS NOW a MUST!!!
:accepted:

That pretty much sums up my year.

I decided to start Hard Reset Strength and Arms of Steel + in the mornings, and Hard Reset Cardio in the evenings. Maybe additional walking or jogging over the weekends when I have the time.

I saw an event behind my house this coming weekend. Seems perfect. You make a donation, and get a shelter dog to run/walk with. I would like this. 👍 I live right across the road from this. 😅 I have absolutely no reason not to participate. I just need some dog food as my entree fee to get a dog. I am a little shy or scared of joining groups of people ... but this seems okay.

1000087198.jpg
1000087199.jpg

*By the way, funny story: while my dad was in hospital I had to jog ~1km+ to a parking area at 2am one morning (long story) on 14 September. Yeah.... I ran without getting tired. Seems with my active lifestyle I sort of stayed in shape. 😅 That gave me the motivation to restart exercising .... but I simply did not have the time until now to exercise.

I will restart my fitness journey and journal officially tomorrow. And participate in the Haunted Hive this weekend too.
:super:

By the way... My dad was not able to walk, talk, write and so on. The doctor thought my dad would give up (he is mid 70s) and never recover or get up again. Within a week my dad walked on his own, he started to drive again this week (after 5 weeks of recovery at home). His only issue is writing. I found the Darebee exercises for hand mobility has been very effective. (Hand mobility, Wrist mobility , Dexterity, Talk to the hand, The thing, Pressure points, and so on) Thank you @neilarey for these workouts. It helped my dad tremendously! He also did very basic foot exercises from the workouts, but mostly still do the hand ones daily. He can write a little now, and can sign his signature and even type on a computer. He say holding a pen and writing is still the worse thing for him to do. Fortunately, my dad's mind is super clear. His reflexes is good, and he seems to be very healthy now after losing so much weight.

I had way less time than I thought I would have today. From cleaning, washing, working and simply fitting everything in was extremely difficult.
:tearz:

I was able to fit in a workout. I did a workout from Jessica Alba (or her trainer) which I saw on Instagram a while back.

1000087248.jpg

My weights was only 3 and 5kg, and I didn't have a medicine ball or foam roller to do the last bit. It was fun, I liked it.

I also did a 20 minute walk around the block, and 5 minutes punch-punch-kick (with different angles of kicks - side, front, back).

I want to officially start my Darebee programs tomorrow.

The neighbors cat also decided to entertain me a little. He was quite chatty today.

Nothing happened. 😑 None of my goals was achieved.

I did manage to mow the lawn very early morning, and walked on a machine for 35 minutes. But that was it.

My dad got sick again. He is "okay". We are monitoring him. Blood pressure, blood sugar, temperature and everything else seems normal under the circumstances. He is extreme fatigued and nauseas. Not quite sure why. Hopefully it's simply a case of having a bad day, and he will be okay tomorrow. My mom and me are on high alert to phone the ambulance at any second, but I am sure he will be okay. He does not show symptoms of anything worse.

This is my new normal. It is what it is.

Sunday was a little better. No emergency or anything for me to stress about. I made the most of the day to relax. A day like this is a luxury for me. That also means Monday will be super busy again.

I walked on a machine for 45 minutes, did 300 kicks in total for the Haunted Hive. 10 minutes jump rope, and a few arm exercises with light dumbbells. All spread out throughout Sunday. Nothing too hectic.

Also watched an older 7 episode series throughout the day/eve... something I won't normally watch "Under the Banner of Heaven". I enjoyed it. Something different than my usual sci-fi. I did not rewatch the "Alien: Earth" series a 100 times yet. 😅 I tried to do random small exercises between episodes too. Like a few Punches, Squats, Lunges, banded Crab Walk - not much, no count or timer, simply 10 to 30 of each to not feel too guilty about watching a series all day long!

I am not used to sitting still for so long anymore.
:eager:

[ This day started with some side kicks, walking on a machine... but I will post about that this later. ] *

The day was not as busy and hectic as I thought it would be. I was able to finish everything, including some exercises.

Early:
100 side kicks
35 minutes walk (machine)

Later:
200 side kicks
35 minutes walk (machine)

Afternoon:
200 palm strikes
Side plank pull through
Devils Press
Goblet Squat
Copenhagen Side Plank
Lateral Lunges
Deadlifts

I didn't count, do reps, or set a timer. Nor put in much thought to my "workout". It was very random and impulsive. I did only 2 sets. I just went with my gut today (I mostly used 5kg weight for my workout, except for the side plank pull through, I used 3kg). I think I did exercises way too hard on my whole body, but it was fun. A little something different.

I am quite tired tonignt.

The neighbors cat spend some time visiting again. Didn't do much. Just wanted to watch what we were doing. Very well behaved gentleman.

I had a pleasant day. My mom took my dad to hospital for more tests and scans. They said they would be alright without me. I treated myself to relaxing, and pampering myself. It only got warm for me after 2 in the afternoon.

11am:
60 minutes walk (machine)

14pm:
45 minutes walk (machine)
5 minutes Squats

I wanted to do more but unfortunately the afternoon got a little .... complicated.

My parents returned after 16pm. My dad was not doing so well the later it got. The day was too long for him. He has some nausea, and he is very cold and was shivering earlier (the hospital was apparently very cold where he had to stay for 7 hours!!) All his vitals is fine, he isn't confused. But my mom and I will probably have to monitor him during the night.

The cat brought me some joy earlier. He is always yawning.

I started with my programs. At last!

AM:
Hard Reset Strength
Arms of Steel +

PM:
Hard Reset Cardio

I wasn't quite sure what weight to use, so I decided on 3kg dumbbells. I had a calm morning, but a busy afternoon, so the early morning and early evening workouts was perfect. I enjoyed Hard Reset Strength. I didn't do additional walking. Figured I take it a little easier for a day.

After 11 months of having the neighbors cat around, I still don't understand cats well. How could they not like belly rubs!?

It's pretty much a repetition... so not much to say about the programs. I found Sunday the hardest - purely because I felt tired. And the programs was easy! 😂 It was simply one of those days.

This is quite a busy week again. The neighbors took over the spare room bed when we didn't see him come inside!

I decided to do the cardio both options. So I didn't walk the past few days. I had a good week with my workouts.

Had a little more time to myself. I got into the habit of eating a slice of bread with my dad late evening. My dad needs to eat something before he goes to bed otherwise his blood sugar drops too low. What a huge mistake for me to eat too! Bread is so addictive!!

Today will be very hot, around 34C.

I will post about my workout soon, of yesterday. I need a day to recover.

I spent 14 hours at a hospital since Friday evening.

My dad was getting sick. And as a precaution we (my mom and me) took him to the Emergency room at a hospital.

While opening my dad's file to see a doctor, my mom [PLOT TWIST] collapsed!!!!!!!!!

She lost consciousness for at least a minute or 2. A paramedic who was fortunately there, helped me to wake her (hitting her chest) and she woke up. Then my mom started to get nauseas. They immediately booked my mom into the Emergency room.

The nurse said this is the first time she seen this happen - bringing a sick person in (who seems to get healthier as time passes) but a second one who was healthy being admitted and not the sick one! Apparently it was tremendous stress my mom was under. They gave her an IV and treated her nausea. My dad had to wait, and they took x-rays and did a few tests. And he had a little infection. So he is now on antibiotics (which helped him the previous time) until Thursday until he gets a new catheter and stent. He didn't need to get admitted.

Both my parents was "released" (my dad obviously not admitted, but also had to wait for his medication) before noon today. Both my parents, including me didn't eat for 15 hours each. We were starving, we didn't sleep, but both my parents is doing well. They are relaxing at home now, watching some soapies.

What a day!!!

Just thought I share this day.

I did get 1 photo... if you are sharp you might notice what was lost between the U and M of Trauma. 😅 The hint is with the man. That is Trauma indeed!

1000088616.jpg

Gosh, I am tired... and relieved that things are okay now.

Hard Reset Cardio

I can't even recall what my additional exercises was for Friday. Obviously, I did not exercise the next day. I probably got in 20k steps!!! 😅 I might not even be exaggerating. That hospital is huge. I probably walked a few kilometers!

I did not exercise yesterday either. I am also not sure if I will do my programs today - maybe walk on a machine if my feet doesn't stay sore. And maybe Yoga or some light exercises, definitely no weights.

I feel sore all over. My body feels like it's constantly tingling, which won't go away. And I get dizzy occasionally. I suppose it's the trauma, shock or stress which came afterwards. The past 18 to 24 hours it feels like I have DOMS. 🤔 I did sleep alright, but it feels like I can still sleep for a whole week and it won't be enough! 😅 I am sure by tonight I will be back to my old self.

Everything is back to normal already at home, both my parents are doing well.

Had a visitor yesterday. The most hated bird in my country. The Hadada ibis (or hadeda).

Hard Reset Cardio (35 mins machine)*

Additional: +45 minutes on machine.* (took a 5 minute break after my PM workout, and did a very fast paced walk).

One surprising thing about this year is my fitness level. Especially from around September I can jog very far without getting tired. I should focus on walking and running more often. My feet do get tired and sore afterwards because I don't have proper running shoes at the moment. On the machine I often do it barefeet which is probably not good either.

I felt quite lightheaded the past 2 days. My blood pressure is 110/76 right now, and heartbeat 66. So it's average and stable now, for me. I had to increase my iron intake this week. I have a lot of spinach in the garden. Should use the fresh spinach today.

The neighbors cat has a close friend. She is scared but occasionally I get a glimpse of her. She was definitely judging me.

Yesterday, I took my dad to the hospital. It was a long day. So my dad has to go for a small operation in mid January to remove the cancer. Seems he is doing rather well so far. I was too tired to do more exercises yesterday. I still feel tired this morning!

I did eat a little bad yesterday, there might have 2 spring rolls and a chocolate eclair involved.
:worry:
I rarely buy junk food. I did eat a large salad for dinner at home (blueberries, feta, tomato, greens, seeds, avocado and so on). It wasn't a complete disaster.

I keep feeling hungry and tired this week.

My catnip is finally growing. Not sure if this cat will like it. He is visiting again. His owner will feed him at 18 pm so he has up to 9 hours to .... hang out.

It's been a hot few days here. One of my yoga bands broke. Fortunately, I was not harmed. 😅 It disintegrated rather than snap. I know the current ones I had was very poor quality. I got them super cheap and was only buying them to test them out. They were cheaper than a chocolate! They lasted a good 3 years. I can't complain. I might rather invest in 1 decent one, than 5x cheap ones next time. But I need heavier kettlebells too. Will still decide what to get.

I decided I need to lose 2kg more for November. My upper legs and stomach needs a little bit more work too.

This week has been a tough one. My energy levels was very low. I felt very fatigued, especially on Tuesday and Wednesday. Today was better. I've had a really busy week, so had no time to feel sorry for myself!!
:hehehe:
Despite Wednesday being my ultimate worse day with my energy levels being a 3/10, I still enjoyed the exercises. I was supposed to make a doctors appointment today but with my dad's issues, I want to make sure he is 100% before I address my own (minor) issues. Today, my energy was a 5/10, so maybe I was worried about nothing.

I wish I could go watch the new Predator: Badlands movie. I'd probably just wait for it to show on Disney+. I do appreciate how much they put into the last Alien series and 2 Predator movies. Lately I read more books. Been reading some old books while I often wait for my dad at the hospital/doctor. Busy with The Devils of D-Day by Graham Masterton. After that I want to read the Three-body Problem by Cixin Liu.

The past few days has been calmer. No issues. Made some peach/apricot chutney, aprocot marmalade and jam, and also bottled some apricots on Saturday. That is nearly a workout by itself! 😆 Will make nice gifts.

Today will be very be very hot here. (34C) Already did my morning workout, I might do my Cardio part soon. If I wait too long, I might get too lazy! I haven't struggled so much yet in warmer weather to exercise. Might be because most days had some wind which made the heat pleasant. I'm really not a summer person!

I decided to try and end my programs before 30 November, so that means I have to do 2 double days. Yesterday, I had the energy and impulsively did a double of all 3 programs. It was quite a workout.
:tired:

On Tuesday (a very hot day) I found a very dehydrated Cape Dwarf Chameleon.

I really enjoyed Hard Reset Strength but I did not enjoy AOS+ so much. Also didn't like the Burpees so much, but it's done!
:chuckle:
I will probably do more High Knees every hour a few. That would be nice for me to keep moving. I have more free time now.

I decided to double my programs for the day (so I can finish them tomorrow, and start something new on Monday 1 December). I woke up just before 5am. It was so hot and the rain we were supposed to have did not break the heat. I decided to completely mix up my schedule. I listed them in the order I did them. I took some long breaks in-between. From 5:08am to 12:27pm I finished everything. AOS+ I did outside, under the shade of the trees. There was a breeze, and it seemed more pleasant than indoors.
:toohot:

And I am so hot, tired, and just relieved that I done everything. NEXT month I won't do so many programs again. I will stick to a little less.

The avocados is growing... Next year June to August they should be ripe (in winter). IF.... the squirrels don't vandalize the tree.

PM:
Hard Reset Cardio (20 minutes walk on machine)

Additional: 200 Squats, 220 punches

Hard Reset & AOS+ both programs finished.

:completed:
:super:

Well, I enjoyed doing both programs again. I might do AOS+ for a 3rd... 4th... 5th... time. Sometimes my memory is so bad. I just have so much to remember on behalf of my parents each day, that I can't recall things about my own life.
:q:

It wasn't too much (2 programs). Yet, I feel mentally drained most days. Some days felt harder, not to start, but simply to "do". Being there in that moment lifting a dumbbell, or simply doing an exercise. And yet, I didn't want to stop ... there was maybe 1 hard day in November where I briefly thought of quitting. Luckily I didn't stop. This year has hit me super hard. November got much better. Hopefully December will be an even better month.

I will start something new tomorrow. I said I wanted something short and simple. Will impulsively decide tomorrow morning!! I don't want to start thinking about it... just do something and stick to whatever I started! I have to start simplifying my life.
:muahaha:
My goal for December/tomorrow: Surprise myself at what program(s) I pick tomorrow!!

So this is my December programs. It's not much, but it's a warm summer month, and I will spend a great deal outdoors, walking and so on. I can always walk on a machine, or do additional exercises when I need to or want to.

The neighbors cat ate a tiny moth, killed a butterfly, and also ate a small gecko's tail yesterday. (The gecko got away). How I manage to see all these crimes ... sigh.

1000090959.jpg

The Cape Dwarf Gecko looks like this. They are like 4cm long, some smaller. Active during the day. Not fond of them because they multiply so quickly, and they leave poop on walls. Too fast to catch. They are indestructible even with cat attacks. The one the cat caught had a puncture hole right through its body - yesterday it laid on its back, but was gone a little later. Saw it this morning, no tail, seemed slightly wobbly, but was chasing another gecko from it's territory. So yeah... he is alive and well it seems. But they look like the one below. Hard to get a good photo. They don't get tame at all.

I keep waking up around 5am. I don't understand how I am able to get up so early (since I have the choice or option to stay in bed for longer!!) I did my daily workout before 6am.

Yesterday I put up a Christmas tree. We don't put it up every year. Some years we just make it minimalistic or do a more modern version. This year it is the old, plastic traditional tree from the 1980s. I used what decorations my parents had. I just assumed that maybe there might not be so many years left with my parents, and they love a big tree with lights. Took forever to decorate - was a workout by itself. Will take another 10 months to clean up all those silver shredded tinsel!

The neighbors cat brought a gecko into the house/kitchen while I was decorating the tree. He isn't a cat who show any interest in the tree at all. He prefer to go chill with his friends in the garden.
