Thanks @Nanna Io

28/11/2022 - 04/12/2022 | Weekly rundown
Average steps: 5,500
PAI by the end of the week: 34

I didn't really wear my watch during the weekend, so PAI dipped down.
Walking wasn't really my top priority during the weekend, so Saturday ended with pretty much exactly 4,000 steps and Sunday with around 3,000. I've tried to keep the habit of going for a walk every day to motivate myself, the streak should be at around 30 days now. :hophop:

Fit December - Day 6
1 Minute Yoga Challenge - Day 2
Power Punch Challenge - Day 2
1 Minute Plank Challenge - Day 2
Shoveling snow
6,000 steps

It's snow time! It's supposed to snow for the next two days, so there's probably going to be a lot of it.
Workout-wise, I'm pretty surprised how well my body can handle planks, they have always been a weakness of mine, and at the moment they don't seem to be too hard.

There is soooo much snow :chicken:
And road maintenance is horrible, so I probably won't go for a walk today. I tried yesterday, but one step forwards feels like two steps back.

Power Punch Challenge - Day 7
1 Minute Plank Challenge - Day 7
25/400 burpees

I already managed to forget that the ornaments event was going to start, so that was an exciting surprise! :3
I'm going for burpees this year (which I'm already regretting xD). As far as I remember, I've participated in 2018 and 2019, one year I chose punches, but no idea what the other one was.
25/400 was a pretty lousy start (was hoping for 100), but there's still time :bouncebounce:

Average steps: 5,485
PAI by the end of the week: 77

Steps-wise, the week started pretty well, but as it snowed more, they went down. Most days, I got my steps purely from shoveling snow (and PAI too).
This sounds kind of obvious, but it turns out that my watch only pays attention to pulse, when it has been set to some kind of workout. I normally only use that when walking, but I started to set my watch to "free training" when I was shoveling snow, and the data was pretty surprising. This revelation came after one morning, when I spent good 20 minutes sweating my ass off, and that day's PAI hadn't moved even by a millimeter. But then the next morning I set it to the free training thing and earned 25 PAI for like 30 minutes.
All in all, it was a good week :hophop:

Fit December - Day 12
1 Minute Yoga Challenge - Day 8
Power Punch Challenge - Day 8
1 Minute Plank Challenge - Day 8
Shoveling snow for around an hour
6,600 steps
60/400 burpees

Today was a snowstorm day, so that was something new. I walked to work and back, usually I just drive, but all the newspapers had been saying that it's going to be a big one and advised people not to drive (and road maintenance has been horrible in my town this year). Turns out it was a great idea, because when I got back in the evening it turned out that the road in front of my apartment building had been in the middle of a wind corridor of sorts. Most of the road was covered in 30-40cm of snow, so I cleaned some of it to hopefully make it easier for tomorrow morning (but I'm hoping some kind of a road maintenance truck comes by the morning (but this hope is pretty low)).
Shoveling the snow really took the last bit of energy out of me, so the burpee-count isn't too high :bored:

1 Minute Toga Challenge - Day 9

Finally caught up with the burpees, although my body certainly hated me afterwards :soaked:

Thinking about doing 400 burpees and actually doing 400 burpees are two completely different things... I can't even understand which part of my body is failing anymore xD

400/400 burpees

I was so done with burpees in the morning, but now I kind of feel invincible :yas:
So I was scrolling through the previous Christmas trees, and it turns out that I participated in 2021 too. And the funny thing is, I have no recollection of it

@mavie Not sure what happened there, the only reason why I'm sure I participated is because I had sent a screenshot about the last year's post to my friend. But as you said, we do have similar names so there might have been some confusion there. Anyways, I'm sorry you didn't get your ornament!

Power Punch Challenge - Day 15
1 Minute Plank Challenge - Day 15

I was going to go on a walk today, but the weather decided it was time for plus degrees, so somehow the snow on every single road turned into a compact slippery mess xD
Other than that, I had an unexpected interaction with the police, they stopped me to check my licence and to breathalyze me. I've been traveling on this road my whole life, but I've never seen them stopping people there in that fashion, so that was something new

Average steps: 4,630
PAI by the end of the week: 42

This week wasn't too active, mainly because the roads were crappy. The week started with a snowstorm, and the road maintenance isn't too great this year, so the first few days were more like swimming in the snow (and practicing the Jack Sparrow walk). Staying indoors for most f the time meant that PAI started dropping too.
Otherwise, it was a good week

Plus degrees hit differently in the winter. The morning started with penguin-walk to get to the car and work in one piece (aka trying not to break anything). All the sidewalks were so icy, it was as smooth as glass.

Used another hall pass because I was so busy counting (and dodging) all the snowballs that had been thrown at me, and lost my sense of time. The event started out pretty slowly, but the numbers got pretty high

This week was pretty slow, and I didn't move too much during the Christmas period. I was going to, but I got one of these diamond painting things for Christmas, so I've been just sitting on the floor and putting it together. It's surprisingly addicting and relaxing at the same time :D

Hehe, this week was even less filled with activities :crawl:. To be honest, I was too tired to go on walks, plus the sidewalks and roads were pure ice again. Friday was the worst, I was trying to get to the office, but the sidewalk right outside was at a slight angle (and literally a field of ice), so even maintaining balance was a challenge.
But this week was busy work-wise too. I had to finish a lot more loose ends than normally since I'm moving on to a new project and someone else is taking over my previous project (which feels so weird to say since I've been working on this for pretty much two years).
My sleeping routine was a mess too, I usually try to go to bed by 10.30 pm and then spend some time watching videos until I'm sleepy, but this week it was more like going to bed around midnight and then falling asleep before 1 am.
I wasn't really sure if I should put together some goals for the new year or not, but might as well.

So, my goals for the next year:
- be more active
- get back on track with normal eating ( including eating more fruits and vegetables)
- drink more water
- stay consistent

Ironborn - Day 5
Daily Squats Challenge - Day 1
Easy Arms Challenge - Day 1
Core Control Challenge - Day 1

Everything felt so put-together this morning. I actually got out of bed at a normal time (7 am instead of 7.30) and had time to do the workout, chill, and actually enjoy my breakfast (normally I just throw something together and eat it as fast as possible). So I went outside and scraped the ice off my car while it was warming up, everything was normal. And then, just when I was about to drive off, it turned out that the handbrake had frozen overnight... a few minutes of careful reversing later and it was still frozen, so I parked again and just walked to work.
Mornings can be fun *smiling teary face*

It turns out that winter is just not the right season for walking. I'm starting to feel like a broken record, but in the beginning of the week the roads were so icy it was a challenge to stay upright, and then around midweek, the weather went from 0 to -14 (-17 was the lowest I noticed).
