What's New at DAREBEE - The Week We Touched Almost Everything

We had a busy week. Here is what changed on the site since last Monday. Some of it is big. Some of it is small enough that you would only notice if we told you. So we are telling you.

Programs

30 Days of Strength
has been rebuilt. It is now a proper level 5 program with fixed sets and reps on every poster and pull-ups on their own days. It is hard. That was the idea.

30 Days of Gravity has been rebuilt too. Level 4, zero equipment, and a paused-rep method that makes four exercises a day feel like plenty. There is an optional dumbbell add-on poster for anyone who wants the pulling work covered.

Avatar Upgrade is now interactive. Thirty cards you can do in any order, a profile with five attributes that fill up as you go and eleven avatars to choose from. Card completion is tracked on the page and on your dashboard.

Shadebound and Spellbound have both been converted to the new RPG format with expanded stories. Spellbound also got a Spell Book and a Charge and Cast widget with dice, because a wizard without dice is just a person in a hat.

The Labyrinth has a Mark Room Done button now. Opening a room no longer counts as clearing it. You have to actually do the workout. Sorry.

The Fighter's Codex has had its difficulty reduced. No more 10-set days.

Comments, notes and bug reports

You can now leave comments
on workouts, programs, challenges, guides, collections and the Exercise of the Day. Comments can be private (only you see them, they live on your dashboard) or public (moderated, so please be patient). Private notes are perfect for logging weights, levels and anything else you used to scribble on a printed poster.

There is a Report a Bug option under every item as well, both as a tile in the comments panel and as its own row. If something looks wrong on a page we would love to hear about it there.

Dashboard

The fitness test now counts as activity. It shows up in your History and keeps your streak alive.

Your two streaks are now clearly labelled. Workout Streak counts any logged activity and the Exercise of the Day streak counts only the daily exercise. They were always separate. Now they look separate.

The dashboard got a bit of polish: a loading skeleton instead of a blank page, numbers that count up and smoother tab switching.

A first-visit how-to for anyone opening the dashboard for the first time, short tips under each section (with a setting to hide them all if you like it clean), a setting to hide the comments

Copy button that copies today's activity to your clipboard so you can paste it straight into a community post.

Everything else

Listen to this guide
is live on guide pages. The browser reads the guide to you while you stretch, cook or pretend to work.

A Personal Record Tracking page is now live. Max reps, longest holds and fastest times, with confetti when you beat yourself.

The Cardio Streak Challenge exercise log now checks the poster day for you when you log an exercise, so nothing goes missing from your history.

If you read DAREBEE with your browser's translation switched on it should look a lot better now. We replaced image text with real text on the homepage banners, filters and plan headers and added proper Greek and Cyrillic font fallbacks.

The donation banner now remembers that you supported DAREBEE this month, for 30 days.

There is a new hold timer with Level I / II / III durations for selected workouts with mutliple timer choices. See sample here.

Styling fix: Every action row under a workout, program, challenge or guide now looks and behaves the same, and the pages load a little lighter for it.

The Comments row shows a count badge when a page has published comments.

The Exercise of the Day how-to video is bigger on desktop.

If anything on this list behaves oddly for you we would really appreciate a note in the bug report.

:thankyou:

Question/Clarification for Shadebound: I'm unsure if the challenge at the bottom of the card is meant to be done at the end of every single set or only once at the end of the workout.
I suppose it might depend on what the individual wants but the instructions and the exercise card do not offer any clarification on this matter, one way or the other

*edited since I forgot to say: Thank you so much for all the work you do and are doing on this website, it's an amazing resource that everyone who knows about it really appreciates!!!!!

Also somewhat related, shouldn't the Avatar Upgrade program be labelled as RPG, to make it easier to find for people looking only for RPG programs?

Awesome, thanks!

One suggestion: would it be possible to add a "minimize/maximize" button to the description section in the programs? Basically the same type of minimize/maximize button that hides/reveals the timer and the set counter. The description of each program day is rather long and on the phone it's a lot of scrolling to get to the days to be checked off.
Thanks!!
