I've decided to open a new check-in thread for a new chapter in my life. I don't know how adamantly I'll be able to hold to this thread as my life course changes over time, but I hope that it will be something remarkable... Hence the title.

I finally have something to report!!! I did my mobility stretches and took a walk around my little pecan forest yesterday. Just up and down the main path... I also managed to make my bed, prepare a simple brunch consisting of pomegranate seeds and an omelette, and entertain a guest before my body cried, "NO MORE!" HAHAHA! I managed to delegate some tasks to some of my children and instruct my husband and one of my daughters in making dinner, which became more of a breakfast because my husband decided that my biscuits would better serve as pancakes... So, a little extra buttermilk later, we had pancakes with apple compote, pork steaks, and a salad... HAHAHA!

TODAY IS #6'S BIRTHDAY!!!

Another accomplishment yesterday! I took a 30-minute walk before bed.

TUESDAY
Breakfast - 2 peanut butter sandwiches and the leftover pomegranate seeds
Dinner - Leafy green salad with tomatoes, bell peppers, cucumbers, carrots, crumbled feta cheese, sunflower seeds, and cheap ranch dressing

WEDNESDAY
Breakfast - leftover salad
Dinner - Peanut butter balls loaded with cacao powder, maple syrup, shredded coconut, and sunflower seeds.

I didn't feel hungry until after my walk, and by then, it was too late in the day for me to eat. So, kids ate, I went to bed and passed out immediately. Nice, deep sleep!

No workouts yesterday, but I did spend a lot of time on my feet in the evening, with the help of some handy, dandy anti-inflammatory and pain blockers. HAHAHA!
We had what our family calls a "Celestial Fireside". It's the literal version of the term, where we make fire under a celestial event. Last night was in honor of Mars, which shone very brightly in the eastern night sky. We also saw Venus, Saturn, and Jupiter. #4 doesn't have a very good telescope, but he set it up and was able to make out Jupiter's moons. Everyone was excited about that. The missionaries came to our campfire cook-out, too. One of them seems to have spent a lot of time under an open Texas sky and helped point out some of the constellations for everyone.

Breakfast: nothing... I was hungry, but really didn't feel like eating
Dinner: A bowl of chili over corn crisps with a little sour cream, then I felt like I couldn't eat anything else... Two hours later, I snacked, though. A campfire hot dog and a Starburst lolly. (should've started with the salad... HAHAHA!)

For those with clear skies, we're about to have another planetary parade. Six planets in alignment. One source says 21st, another says 25th... Won't hurt to step outside and check either day... Feb. 28, there will apparently be another planetary parade of 7 planets, too. Unfortunately, another full alignment wont happen for over 400 years. So, if you didn't see it Dec. 2022, you missed it.

Yesterday, I managed to get a little yardwork done. A young friend of mine is helping me with my yardwork lately. So, we worked together and accomplished a decent amount. It felt great!

Breakfast: Caprese salad on a bed of romaine greens.
Snack: Tuna casserole (feeling nostalgic)
Dinner: Clear soup, hibachi shrimp and mushrooms over rice, tempura rolls

My husband took me out to eat at my favorite Japanese restaurant last night. I was exhausted by the time I got home. I was so exhausted, in fact, that upon entering my room and seeing #4 chillaxin' on my bed with his dad's laptop, I said, "I'm too tired to wait for you to leave the room. I'm takin' my pants off. So, move, or be traumatized." That was the fastest I've ever seen a kid get off a gaming device. He was out of my room by the time I had kicked off my sandals! HAHAHA!

Saturday was mostly restful. #5 brought home two more pigeons. After that, I enjoyed another small date with my husband while 3 of my kids were enjoying a STEAM club activity hosted by the local university planetarium. I was feeling pretty low afterwards, though. I ate, though I wasn't hungry, and I stayed up, though I wanted to sleep.

Breakfast - a clementine
Luncheon - Chicken and beef sandwich with pickles, tomatoes, lettuce, and a little mustard + mayo, coconut water, and an oreo brownie
Dinner - I combined a bacon and ranch salad kit with a chickpea caesar salad kit and ate about half of it

I am officially sick.
