So after a bit of a check it looks like it is something called "diastasis recti". Chances are it is cause by lack of core exercises and fast weight gain.

I did do the home test for it and it did feel funny, however I do get a bit of a weird feeling poking around my own insides.

I will make an appointment either for the end of the week or next week by a physio to have it checked

Ouchies. I've heard of it before, though admittedly I don't know much about it. I know some pregnant women can get it though and it sounds painful. ;n;

@NightWolf714 it isnt really painful, but once I figure out what it might be I now focus to much on it I can almost feel it.. which is weird.

it would explain a few things though.

Well. Got my appointment for Friday and in mild cases it takes 3-6 weeks. So i will see how it goes.

if it is that I will do the sitting arms of steel, stretching and the exercises she gives me

So it has been a while since I posted.

This is for two reasons. There was nothing to report as I didnt do any exercises and that made me feel a bit to meh to post.

The costume I am working on also has given me some issues, so yeah.

There is however one thing that I realized.

The reason I did not do any exercises was that I wanted it to be "perfect". Train on an empty stomach, then break my fast after exercises. This means that in the evening shift it isnt always possible as I am at home and do other stuff.

So the question came into my mind... what is worse. Not doing something perfectly and just train later in the day when I am at work, or complete negate exercising... and the answer is clear. This of course means that I will strive to do exercises at work in the evening like I am doing in the morning shift.

I can definitely relate with that struggle. I've heard the phrase "if it's worth doing, it's worth doing right" and struggle with adhering to it too much.

But I've also heard that "perfection is the enemy of progress." I'm trying to learn to go with that. Because some is often times better than none (as long as it's, like, not a matter of safety or something.)

i used to try to adhere to this too, but now I am getting more into the opposite:
"if something is worth doing, it's worth half-assing"
In almost all cases it's better to get something done rather than nothing ^^
There are simply too many things going on in our lives to focus on, say, three of them and do them perfectly.
We're usually juggling closer to 27 and it makes sense that we can't give everything out absolute best!

Hi everyone,

I apologies for my absence... Sadly I have been going down one of my rabbit holes again, but it is time to emerge.

I started back at level 1 programs as I feel like I aged 5 years in this month

Arms of Steel - Day 1
Square One - Day 1
Stretched

I have also made a sort of reward program that will help.

Every day i do exercises AND stretching I get 1 point
Every day I dont do either I get -1 point (or even -2) The reason for this is that I hate stretching but need to do it.

Every 10 points (10 days exercise) I get R100 (local currency worth around 2 bic macs). This is spending money as I see fir
Every 50 points I get R20, just as a bonus
At every 100 points it is something more special at that means a minimum of 3+ months... for the first 100 it is taking the lady out for an evening.

As you can see that I did not add food on the list, as if I follow the program I will automatically eat less junk food without worrying about it

That's a great plan!
I made myself a bingo card for my unfinished projects, and I also plan to give myself rewards when I hit a bingo.
Now that I am almost done with the third project in a row, I am much more motivated to tackle the two other projects which I would rather have avoided xD
I tried to write all the projects down in that way, so there is a mix of the tempting and the confusing ones.

Big hugs for you, and good on ya for getting back to the exercise!

@princess_sarena Thank you. I also hope it will work, but still to early to tell
@NightWolf714 it is the easiest way i could think of to "gamify" my progress... so lets see
@Maegaranthelas Bingo is also a great idea, but it would give me to much choice :D

Done
Arms of Steel - Day 2
Square One - Day 2
Stretching done.

2 Points so far

I found the exercises pretty easy, but I am a bit hesitant to go to another level. So I did around half of the exercises at normal speed, and the other half in slow motion

So today was a tad different,

My phone was on charge and work was a BIT chaotic. So I took the chance and did some shadow boxing and light stretches.

The chaos was really not planned and I am not sure what the future will hold.... but I have done around 10 minutes of exercise and count it as a win.

Today:
Arms of Steel - Day 7
Square One - Day 7

2 of the 3 exercises from Arms of Steel where already in square one so I just added the third one to it :)

Although I did some stretches in between they were half hearted, so I will penalize myself and not give myself a point, but I also will not subtract any,

Today:
Arms of Steel - Day 8
Square One - Day 8

I realised today that if I do the motion of the exercises slow and very deliberate I get a really good stretch in.

To be honest I wasn't even sure if I could do my exercises due to the work chaos, but I decided that I need to fit it in somewhere just for my sanity

Morning,

so I want to apologies for the silence to everyone as well as to myself. So just to explain my current situation (this is more of a small vent than a exercise update)

The company I work have is running into the same issues every 3 or so years and the big boss comes down. He rectifies the issues, however as soon as he leaves the managers slack and over 3 years it goes down the drain again. It does not help that the process documentation we have is ancient.

Last year November a position was opened as a manager to oversee these processes as the old one resigned. 3 people including myself applied for it, and the big boss soon realized that the department is to big for one person, split the tasks up into 3 (which the 3 candidates got) and hired a head of department from the outside.

That head of department lasted for 3 months before bowing out as the company is currently in a bad state as it once again reached those 3 years.
As I am one of the longest person working in this company I was offered that position and am now in my probation period.

It is a LOT of stress to the point that i start to laugh in my office for no reason as a natural response to that stress.

So when I get home I dont touch anything but the computer to relax... I hardly even work on the costume (which is another source of stress).

I am afraid until work gets a bit more stable I am not sure if I have the mental capacity to do exercises as I feel burnt out already.

On a positive note I get in 6000 steps every day

So I did the first day of exercise again today.
Did Foundations light and will continue to do so for the 30 days.

I actually booked a meeting called break every day so that I have 30 minutes where I can do them.

Injured my shoulder somehow that is pinching a nerve, so can feel it all the way down my arm and going to a physio tomorrow.

Other than that work is still absolutely hectic, but I really need that small break to just get a breather.

So the physio told me it was stress. I have a tendency to stiffen my shoulders when that happens and so the muscle gets stiffer. That in turn squeezes my spine and presto... pinched nerve.

Not 100% if that is the right terminology though... but I somehow need to learn to relax more.

Day 3 and 4 are done. I just didnt have the time to post yesterday
