An Alchemist's Tale - A Young Solificatus' Journal

Hello everyone!

I've just discovered this forum, so this is my introduction. I'll be RPing as an alchemist and journaling my physical transformation from the ground up, framing it as an alchemical journey. I'll also be sharing the adventures and trials this alchemist must face to become a Master. It's a pleasure to join this community, and I'll keep you all posted on the journey!

Here are some quick facts about me and my current "vessel":

  • Age: 21
  • Weight: 75kg | 165lbs
  • Height: 1.80m | 5'11"
  • Current Goal: Get in shape to start calisthenics and lower my body fat percentage.

I've chosen the 60 Days of Walking program to build my foundation and ease into the routine. So here I am!

Journal Entry #1

My name is Liu Snow. I'm a Solificatus, a young alchemist of House Solificati within the Order of Hermes. They know us as The Crowned Ones, children of knowledge. I have just completed my training as a Practicus, the rank of candidate, and passed my final examination. Just a month ago I was a Zelator, an unawakened hedge mage. Now, I have awoken to another world, essentially the same, yet with its secrets unraveling before me.

The exam was exhausting, but at last, I achieved full membership to the Order of Hermes, with this came a House and a new rank: Initiate of House Solificati. Within the house itself I was awarded with another one: Apprentice.

I must continue my studies. I must transmute my body, mind, and soul to achieve the Philosopher's Stone. Only then will I become a true alchemist, and by extension, a true mage.

Three days ago, I finished all my preparations and began the transmutation of my physical vessel. To transmute lead into gold, one must first transmute oneself. It is Day Two of my physical conditioning, a 60 day pilgrimage of walking to pace the labyrinth of my mind, ground my aura, and gather Prima Materia from the earth beneath my feet.

Journal Entry #2 | Day 3: Decomposition

⚗️ The Crucible (Physical Vessel)
Ritual: 60 Days of Walking - Day 3
Metrics: 45 min of walking
Intensity: 3.5/5

📜 The Transmutation (Alchemist's Notes)
I can feel my vessel undergoing inner changes. My legs are growing weary as I walk along the path, but my spirit is willing. My vessel shall grow stronger as I force it to endure the heat and the coals.

Second day and we are going strong! Tbh, I felt my legs giving out on the second round of the circuit. Looks like that is my limit. Any more and I would have dropped to the floor. That is a clear sign that my body is really weak. I hope that I can build up to finishing the first level of the workout. I'll just keep it simple, for now.

Journal Entry #3 | Day 4: Nigrendo

⚗️ The Crucible (Physical Vessel)
• Ritual: 60 Days of Walking - Day 4
• Metrics: 60 min of walking
• Intensity: 2.5/5

📜 The Transmutation (Alchemist's Notes)
Sixty minutes of pacing the earth to gather Prima Materia, anchoring my wandering aura to the physical realm. The vessel adapts to this slow, continuous burn, shedding the impurities of my past stagnation.

Day 3 in the books! Had a great walk today right around sunset. The sky was amazing, painted in gold, purple, and blue against a couple of clouds. That's it for today, see you tomorrow!

Journal Entry #4 | Day 5: Resistance

⚗️ The Crucible (Physical Vessel)

Ritual: 60 Days of Walking - Day 5
Metrics: 45 min of walking plus calisthenics
Intensity: 3/5

📜 The Transmutation (Alchemist's Notes)
Fourty-five minutes of unbroken rhythm allowed the inner fire to burn slow and deep, forging patience where haste once ruled. My breath became the bellows that kept the crucible steady, proving that endurance is merely alchemy in motion.

Today marks the fifth day. It was particularly hot and dry, and even though the heat was stifling, the walk was much easier than the first couple of days. Listening to audiobooks also helps to keep my mind off the heat. Nothing else to report today. Just taking it one step at a time quite literally.

Journal Entry #5 | Day 6: Realizing

⚗️ The Crucible (Physical Vessel)

Ritual: 60 Days of Walking - Day 6
Metrics: 60 min of Walking - 7.5k steps
Intensity: 2.5/5

📜 The Transmutation (Alchemist's Notes)
As the miles accumulated, the impurities of my scattered thoughts were slowly burned away. The repetitive strike of my heel against the earth acted as a pestle, grinding my restless mind into a state of quiet focus. I am learning that the Great Work is not achieved in a sudden flash of light, but in the slow, methodical distillation of daily effort.

The change is slow but i'm pretty sure that my body is getting used to walking this long. Another thing that happened today is that I just finished listening to Storm Front, the first book of The Dresden Files. Fantastic book, I recommend the series for anyone interested in books of Urban Fantasy.

Journal Entry #6 | Day 7:

⚗️ The Crucible (Physical Vessel)

Ritual: 60 Days of Walking - Day 7
Metrics: 90 min of Walking - 9.3k steps
Intensity: 3/5

📜 The Transmutation (Alchemist's Notes)
Seven turns of the wheel have burned away the dross of my former inertia, and in its place a quiet resilience takes root in my bones. The first cycle is complete; the vessel holds.

Checkin In!
I woke up early this morning to get the walk of today out of the way since this day will be busy Also, I don't really stand the thought of the high levels of UV light destroying my skin, so I prepared for the walk and got out of the house around 6 a.m. to end the walk at 7:30 a.m. and avoid damage as much as possible. The walk was very calm since everybody on sundays is still sleeping... Anyway! Happy Sunday, Guys!

Journal Entry #7 | Day 8:

⚗️ The Crucible (Physical Vessel)

Ritual: 60 Days of Walking - Day 8
Metrics: 60 min of Walking - 7k steps
Intensity: 3/5

📜 The Transmutation (Alchemist's Notes)
Though my pen was silent yesterday amidst worldly distractions, the crucible never cooled and the physical pilgrimage continued in the shadows. The steady rhythm grounded my aura, proving that the Great Work persists in the quiet, unseen spaces between recorded triumphs.

Checkin In! But delayed

Yesterday was busy, plenty of appointments that I had to go to and didn't have much time to check In and write a proper "Transmutation" text. Still, I did my daily walk and kept going with my life. Today's there's going to be another check-in to compensate for yesterday's.

Love this!!!

Journal Entry #8 | Day 9:

⚗️ The Crucible (Physical Vessel)

Ritual: 60 Days of Walking - Day 9 + Calisthenics
Metrics: 45 min of Walking - 6.5k steps
Intensity: 2.5/5

📜 The Transmutation (Alchemist's Notes)
Though my ledger was silent yesterday, the unseen fires of the crucible never cooled. Today, I introduced a new catalyst to my physical vessel, the disciplined geometry of the body tempering the clay of my body with the very gravity of the earth.

Phew, this day was really something else. I just bought a pull-up bar for my door frame, and I've started to use it by taking inspiration from f1shie since she started to use the program. I felt how my chest and arms were exhausted after the exercise, and I felt some light pain as well in those parts. In either case, this was the report for today!

Have a nice day, people! This was everything for today

Journal Entry #9 | Day 10:

⚗️ The Crucible (Physical Vessel)

Ritual: 60 Days of Walking - Day 10 + Calisthenics
Metrics: 45 min of Walking - 5.7k steps
Intensity: 2/5

📜 The Transmutation (Alchemist's Notes)
Even the crucible must cool, lest it crack under constant heat. Today was for restoration, not regression.
Today was a hushed day. I felt a bit worn out because of the calisthenics, but it doesn't matter. I'm slowly but surely hitting my goal of walking everyday. The squats from Tuesday left me with no strength to do many reverse lunges. I just did the ones that I could and keep going with the rest of the exercises. It makes me feel that it's defeating the purpose of the exercises on the program, but the muscles leg muscles using calisthenics are being estimulated anyway so it doesn't really matter all that much.... I think.

Journal Entry #10 | Day 11:

⚗️ The Crucible (Physical Vessel)

Ritual: 60 Days of Walking - Day 11 + Calisthenics
Metrics: 60 min of Walking - 6.8k steps
Intensity: 2/5

📜 The Transmutation (Alchemist's Notes)
Another restoration day. Being careful with the vessel is important for this ordeal. I must not exert too much pressure.

Another day, another walk. I've slowed down a bit, since I've noticed how my energy levels dropped a little. I'm not going to stop though.

Nothing worth mentioning today. Happy Thursday to everyone

Journal Entry #11 | Day 12:

⚗️ The Crucible (Physical Vessel)

Ritual: 60 Days of Walking - Day 12 + Calisthenics
Metrics: 45 min of Walking - 7k steps
Intensity: 3.5/5

📜 The Transmutation (Alchemist's Notes)
A new discipline woven into the old creates a stronger thread. Today, bodyweight and walking became one ritual.

Who would have thought that adding calisthenics would make me burn more energy, huh?

Today I did horizontal pull-ups with half-squats. Honestly, I’m not in shape, but I think the routine is helping me build muscle strength and endurance. Now it’s just a matter of seeing the results at the end of the 60 days. I’m not expecting much, but maybe I’ll see some progress, and I’ll be satisfied with that.

Journal Entry #12 | Day 13:

⚗️ The Crucible (Physical Vessel)

Ritual: 60 Days of Walking - Day 13 + Calisthenics
Metrics: 60 min of Walking - 7.4k steps
Intensity: 3/5

📜 The Transmutation (Alchemist's Notes)
Intensity is the hammer that shapes the vessel. Today, I felt the forge's full heat and welcomed it.

Journal Entry #13 | Day 14:

⚗️ The Crucible (Physical Vessel)

Ritual: 60 Days of Walking - Day 14
Metrics: 90 min of Walking - 10.2k steps
Intensity: 3/5

📜 The Transmutation (Alchemist's Notes)
The crucible does not rush, nor does it falter. It simply is. Today, I was the crucible.

Well, two in one to compensate. Later I'll post the entry of today. I almost didn't have an opportunity to go for the walks, let alone do calisthenics, but I did it anyway. The sun was blazing hot those days. And since I couldn't do the exercises in the morning or the evening, I had to do it under the sun. I found a tree that provided enough shade and walked circles around it; ngl, I probably looked like a maniac, but who's not a maniac nowadays?

I drank enough water before, during, and after the walk; that's the least I can do to prevent heat strokes.

Anyway, happy monday to everyone! I'll post later.

Journal Entry #14 | Day 15:

⚗️ The Crucible (Physical Vessel)

Ritual: 60 Days of Walking - Day 15 + Calisthenics
Metrics: 60 min of Walking - 7.5k steps
Intensity: 3.5/5

📜 The Transmutation (Alchemist's Notes)
Transmutation is not an event; it is a practice. Today, I practiced.

I noticed how my endurance is more pronounced than a couple of weeks ago; it's fascinating how the body adapts. Nothing to add this day; have a wonderful day!

Journal Entry #15 | Day 16:

⚗️ The Crucible (Physical Vessel)

Ritual: 60 Days of Walking - Day 16 + Calisthenics
Metrics: 45 min of Walking - 6.8k steps
Intensity: 2.5/5

📜 The Transmutation (Alchemist's Notes)
A slow fire burns longest. Today's rhythm was gentle, but the transmutation continues all the same.

And before sleeping, I must check-In. Nothing interesting to add, have a good night guys.

Journal Entry #16 | Day 17:

⚗️ The Crucible (Physical Vessel)

Ritual: 60 Days of Walking - Day 17 + Calisthenics
Metrics: 45 min of Walking - 6.2k steps
Intensity: 2.5/5

📜 The Transmutation (Alchemist's Notes)
The Great Work knows both fire and stillness. Today, I honored the silence between the notes.

Journal Entry #17 | Day 18:

⚗️ The Crucible (Physical Vessel)

Ritual: 60 Days of Walking - Day 18 + Calisthenics
Metrics: 60 min of Walking - 6.2k steps
Intensity: 3/5

📜 The Transmutation (Alchemist's Notes)
An unrecorded day is not a wasted day. The transmutation continued in the shadows, steady and sure.

Might as well be just uploading in batches. Week's been busy ngl.
I hope you guys are alright, tho! Happy Friday to everyone on the other side of the world.

Journal Entry #18 | Day 19:

⚗️ The Crucible (Physical Vessel)

Ritual: 60 Days of Walking - Day 19 + Calisthenics
Metrics: 45 min of Walking - 7.2k steps
Intensity: 3/5

📜 The Transmutation (Alchemist's Notes)
The vessel is prepared not in grand trials, but in small, repeated acts of will. Today, I willed myself forward.

Day 19... I didn't think that I was going to be up this far. I thought I was going to quit before day 15... But here we are!
Today I tried to pick up the pace and start to brisk walk instead of just mainly walking. As a result, the number of steps increased a lot, which motivated me in return.

Journal Entry #19 | Day 20:

⚗️ The Crucible (Physical Vessel)

Ritual: 60 Days of Walking - Day 20 + Calisthenics
Metrics: 60 min of Walking - 7.5k steps
Intensity: 3.5/5

📜 The Transmutation (Alchemist's Notes)
One septenary complete. The first cycle has burned away the dross of beginning; what remains is resolve.

20 days. Yey!
This day was a milestone, 40 more days to go, nothing more to add. This was a very nice day, I hope y'all had a nice one as well.

Journal Entry #20 | Days 20-28:

⚗️ The Crucible (Physical Vessel)

Ritual: 60 Days of Walking - Week 4
Metrics:
Average steps per day: 8.4k steps
Average walking distance: 6.2 km
Total Weekly Steps: 61.9k steps
Intensity: 3.5/5

📜 The Transmutation (Alchemist's Notes)
The labyrinth reveals itself slowly. The previous week, I saw a pattern I had not seen before. The doors have been opened.

I've decided to move into a weekly modality of the check-in, mostly for practical purposes. I did my week tho, I did not abandon the program. I'll keep you posted guys! Have a wonderful day and week :D
