Best workouts/exercises/food plans for short people?

Hi. Looking for 1) workouts/exercises and 2) food plans for short people. Need a workout/food plan that is simple, basic, and lasts for 30 days, so I can do it every month. I am also aiming for my first monthly goal in August, NO SODA!!!

Hi there! Nice to know I'm not the only short person on here. ^_^

Personally, my workouts and exercises so far haven't been that different from other people's I think. Well, other than whenever I get to the point of being able to do pull ups, my bar will need to be a bit lower than if my mate was doing them, haha.

I'm not currently working on my food plan. I do know that my calorie requirements were automatically lower than everyone else's though. That made things a bit more annoying, so I've been kinda learning to pre-half my meals if I went out to eat or something. But beyond that, I hadn't really thought of the idea that my food requirements would need to be altered due to my height. Mine have personally been more due to my age (getting into late 30's) and medical history (my body has trouble absorbing some nutrients so I supplement them).

So I'll be curious to see other responses in this thread.

Welcome, to me there is no reason to change something from other people because of this, you may just experiment some issue to catch the pull up bar. Coluche was saying the good size is when feet touch the floor

It is my personal experience, before changing foods, to simply learn to track everything you eat - honestly - using an app that has a good database behind. This strategy alone will give you immensely useful information. I am not a proponent of becoming a slave to tracking macros, this is a strategy to obtain first a baseline to start making changes one at a time.

After say, a week of tracking (good and bad days, do not change your habits while tracking, just be honest), you can build changes based on your current average intakes. My personal recommendation would be to first focus on hitting the minimum protein for your target weight (i.e. 1.2 to 1.6 g per kg of ideal body weight), irrelevant of caloric intake or other macros.

This is because the average intake for each country in the world, is below the target ideal. I can link infographs if you would like to see.

I'm 5'5 and I don't train with exercises or consume foods that are different from how taller people train or eat. I would say that body proportions only come into play when you want to enter into a specific sport, or train a specific lift (I have an advantage at the bench press because my arms are shorter).

Advice: Pick a program that makes sense for your training level of experience.
