Brought the bugger in pretty quick, he seemed content though, said he saw some Honu and felt better.
Took him to the beach for a bit, made a sand castle together and collected some seashells. Forty years without any vacation days is crazy. We had a great time. He fell asleep on the way back so I carried him. Straw isn't that heavy apparently.

Catching up with Jack was the easy part. True, I could have done with fewer hay stacks along the way (my legs are burning, and I wasn't even able to get all the way to touching the floor ...).
When I caught up, and had talked Jack out of running away, we sat and discussed fair work compensation. As we returned, he was ready to negotiate a working contract (including paid vacation days) with the farmer.
And maybe I also handed him a flyer, "Unionizing 101", just in case there are more sentient scarecrows out there also not getting any days off ...

Some things are worth rebuilding, like love sometimes. Some things are best left broken, like hearts sometimes. Growing up is knowing when to hold on, and knowing when its time to let go.
I brought back a look alike. Poor scarecrow just wanted his freedom...

It is a serious thing just to be alive on this fresh morning in the broken world.
No complete bounty for me this week. The parts I got done were a nice little bit to get back into the swing of things, though :')
Scarecrow was recovered just in time, just as the dark clouds threatened to bubble over and spill onto the two of us, which would've destroyed dear Jack Straw and drenched me.
I'm very glad I found him and we got to the public carriage protected waiting area before the visibly oncoming downpour to end all downpours!

Notice Down: Jack Straw, the Runaway Scarecrow
Jack Straw is found two fields from the coast sitting on a fence watching the gulls. He comes quietly. On the way back he asks whether the sea is really that big. Everyone says yes. He seems satisfied.
He is back on his post. The farmer has promised him one trip to the coast every autumn. The crows are furious.
Brought in by 34 hunters: AceofSwords, aerochic, antfrommagicant, AquaMarie, brandteixeira, BrianD, celiamae, clarabell, Encina, FullSync, graoumia, Hreshdagtsi, Hwestneth, ithilwenia, Jaga, jaz1976, joyfullife, Laura Rainbow Dragon, Leep, lizita, Logan, Luki, millie, MRF, neilarey, NightTigress, Nićifor, Nox, phetanta, Princess Fancy, Princess Sarena Rose, Rrr, Set Monje, SYNTHETIK.
Each of them earned a Guild Point.
2 more were on the trail. There is always next week.
The next notice goes up 2026-11-11 10:00 (Athens time).
