combine workouts

Does anybody do a daily challenge or add cardio to your workout days ..
Im currently doing a 30 day ab challenge and Ill be starting the Gladiator tomorrow however I feel like I also need some cardio to balance the workout

You can choose a cardio challenge or add a few cardio workouts to your training plan.
Personally, I like challenges; they're fairly time-efficient and progressive workouts, a nice addition to a solid training plan. :)

I use to jog in place a lot of days (so I can watch shows without as much guilt, haha). Recently I added Cardio Light to my (mostly) daily routine. They also have a regular one, but I was already doing a lot and just wanted a little extra to my workout. (Also, I love the 30 days programs on here in general.)

30 Days of Cardio Light

I do what Fremen said. I have a "main" Program I follow, but always add some extras. Usually I choose a strenght program to follow. Then I add a core program (or challenge) and also include a HIIT or Cardio program (or challenge).

As an actual example:
» Strenght (my main Program at the moment): Strenght Protocol (I'm working in pull-ups volume now, so I add more than it says. Being doing this for the last 3 months with great result)
» ABS: Total ABS (Program): doing almost everyday
» HIIT/Cardio: 8 Weeks to 5K (Program): following it religiously

For waking up, I developed a habit: doing an easy challenge before having my cup of coffee. Just wake up, wash my face and do it. I've finished Before Breakfast Cardio (Challenge) and have started yesterday 1 Minute Cardio Challenge. Then I have a coffee and start my workout programs.

And, as I spend sometimes too much time seated, I always do an easy Program/Challenge (Level I or II) in the afternoons. Right now: Baseline (Program).

By the way, I'm 51 y.o. Happy with the results I'm seeing.

Hope it helps.

At 51, recovery matters; rotate intensity and take a real rest day or you’ll hit a plateau or joint issues.
Perfect! That's exactly what I'm doing. As I said I'm working on volume on pull-ups, usually next day I have a light day or day off. it makes a huge difference. I have a pretty decent understanding about my body (practicing martial arts for over 37 years, and other sports as well), but always checking and learning about it.
