Good evening, everyone!

I've been a bit absent because there have been renovations at my temple that I've had to attend to. In fact, they're not finished yet, but I couldn't let my streak die, so I've done something simple. I have muscle soreness in places I didn't know could get sore, so even today's simple exercise turned out to be harder than expected, but nothing I couldn't handle with a little determination and stubbornness!

See you tomorrow, hive!

I'm going to have to “freeze” my streak. I've fallen ill and need to rest and recover. And since I'm not skipping my exercise but it's due to circumstances beyond my control, I think it's totally fair.

So be it, see you when I recover!

Good evening, everyone! Guess who's baaaaaack! Mwahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!

These days I've spent recovering from my illness have been spent connecting with my interests and finishing books and pending tasks. Emotionally, I've been very scattered and exhausted, to be honest, even though my body was full of energy. I guess I've been hyperalert, so much so that I've even suffered from insomnia (don't worry, I've got a potion for that!). Anyway, today, despite being in the middle of my treatment, I don't feel sick anymore. And yes, all that pent-up energy was crying out to be released, so... Here I am again! A game of Doom and heavy metal all morning. That's all I needed to get my mind on the same page as my body!

See you tomorrow, hive! I hope you have a great start to the year!

Good evening, everyone!

Yesterday I overdid it with the dumbbells, and my back has made sure to let me know today. But hey, nothing a good stretch and some Red Tiger Balm can't fix!

You have no idea how much I've missed a delicious cold protein shake after my workout. I've also sent my ushabtis out to buy jars and jars of skyr to snack on between meals and really go the extra mile.

I need to review the Darebee video library more thoroughly now that I'm increasing the weight of my dumbbells. I take what I see in the pictures too literally, and if I see an illustration of the character holding the dumbbell parallel to the floor, I keep it that way the whole time for fear of not working the muscle properly if I change the pose. And surprise, surprise! I'm starting to get cramps in my wrists! So I'll work on that and see how things progress.

See you tomorrow, hive!

I haven't seen any extra credit in the program I'm following now, so I remembered that extra credit in dumbbell workouts usually revolves around making each repetition last at least two seconds and using weights of 8 kg or more. And so I applied that. So I'm back to finding ingredients for potions! Sacred Water again today. Let's see what I find tomorrow!

Once again, I'm getting cramps in my wrist. Maybe I'm lifting more weight than I should, but I find that hard to believe since I can do the reps without any problems and my other wrist doesn't hurt at all...

Maybe I should buy some wrist wraps or go back to using my Muay Thai bandages. I don't know, well, I'll figure something out.

Good evening, everyone!

Today I've been sketching, reading books on artistic techniques, and doing little drawings to practice. I've managed to create such a comfortable atmosphere that even Moofasa has settled down to read on the other side of the room instead of going to the temple gardens as usual.

For today's exercise, I decided to swallow my pride a little and not force myself to lift more weight than my wrists seem able to handle. Yesterday, I sent an ushabti to the Æsir kingdom to get a pair of wristbands for weightlifting, and I expect him to return tomorrow. As a wolf, I am fully aware of the legendary strength of the “silk fetters” they make there, and I will accept nothing less than the highest quality to protect my body.

Good evening, everyone!

Soups! That's it! Now I've taken to making soups! And why is this so important? Because I'm an Emmet Brickowski who is incapable of stepping out of line. I rarely, very rarely experiment. And now I've developed a taste for throwing random things into a cauldron and making soups! Today I ate yesterday's leftover soup and it was delicious! Tangy, robust, filling... Really good, I tell you!

On the other hand, I continued sketching today, with even more ease than yesterday. So much so that I was able to sketch Moofasa when I caugh him reading!

Finally, the wristbands arrived today, and I tried them out during my workout. I was able to increase the weight of my dumbbells again, and my wrists don't hurt! Awoohoo!!!

On top of that, I got the ingredient I needed to make a potion. What a great day I've had, damn it! :yas:

Good evening, everyone!

Until now, I had been trying to use the 8kg dumbbells, which caused me pain in my wrists, forcing me to drop down to 6kg. Well, today I was able to go up to 10kg thanks to the wrist wraps! Awoohoo! Obviously, I was able to go up to 10kg because today's exercises were more focused on the legs, but it's a start! I can't wait to have enough muscle to use the 10kg in all the dumbbell exercises! And, above all, I hope to develop my muscles enough to need to upgrade my dumbbells.

But anyway, I'll try not to fly too close to the sun. As much as I want to build muscle, I have to be consistent and not push my limits too far.

Good evening, everyone!

I'm compiling an important collection of PDFs of art books on movies, anatomy books, drawing and design books, and so on, all focused on anthropomorphic creatures. Books from Disney, Pixar, Dreamworks... you get the idea. I've spent too long trying step-by-step tutorials, and they're of little or no use because you don't learn what to look for, what to search for, or how the creative process works. Today I've been practicing expressions and gods, what a difference from what I've been doing until now!

As for exercise, today I was able to use the 10kg dumbbells again. I can tell that my posture has improved a lot with the wristbands, because not only do my wrists not hurt, but I also get much less tired doing the exercises. And I'm very happy about that.

Finally, my dog is back and will be spending this week at my temple. That makes me even happier. Today I'll take him for an extra-long evening walk so we can catch up.

See you tomorrow, hive! You're all great!

Good evening, everyone!

Today I took an extra-long walk with my dog. And on the way back, I've been sketching practically until now, when I've done my exercise. Today I'm trying to study anatomy and volume. And I think I'm going to be like this for a while. I should also study lighting and color theory. I keep lighting with black and white, and it's too noticeable.

Today, during my exercise, I made a bad movement with my wrist that I was totally aware of, and it started to hurt again. The good thing is that I corrected it and it didn't hurt anymore. So, well, I can say that I learned something today. I hope my muscle memory doesn't betray me.

Good evening, everyone!

Today has not been a good day. I've been totally exhausted and in pain, my ergonomic chair that I bought just a year ago has broken in half, and to top it all off, now that I've finally saved up for my new PC after many months, it turns out that RAM is five times more expensive because of those damn AI companies. I'm so angry right now, you can't even imagine. So I put my most metal playlist on full blast and did my workout with as much energy and as much weight as I could. So much so that my watch marked it as anaerobic.

Today has been a very relaxing day. I've also made an effort to eat better than usual. And there's really not much else to say. To end the day, I made myself some soup with lots and lots of ingredients, and wow, what a delicious soup!

Exercise is going well. It seems I can do more with the 10kg weights than I thought, which makes me very happy. The only setback is that my weights are screw-on, and it takes me so long to change the discs between exercises that it's not worth it, so I have to limit myself to the maximum weight for the exercise with which I can lift the least weight each day. Luckily, I rarely have to lower the weight, so yay!

See you tomorrow, hive!

Good evening, everyone!

Once again, today has been a fairly quiet day.

Looking at the overcast sky from the windows of the temple, I asked my phone if it was raining. My phone replied that it couldn't answer me unless I first told it my location, to which I replied, “Don't play dumb, I know you're spying on me and that if I open the maps app, you have a record of all my movements.” And do you know what it replied? "I'm not spying on you, but yes, I know where you are. And in your area, there's an X% chance of rain." Clever little gadget... I don't know why I didn't look outside myself or send a ushabti.

When I went outside, it didn't seem to be raining, so I went for a quick walk around the temple gardens with my dog instead of walking somewhere more sheltered. Yes, I took a chance. And you know what happened? Just when I was in the most open area of all, it poured for literally ten seconds. TEN! Just enough to soak us both, and then it stopped again. Tefnut was really untimely this time. But hey, I found a mushroom for my potions! Yay!

I spent the rest of the morning doodling and doing some anatomical studies of various animals.

In the middle of the afternoon, I put into practice an idea that had crossed my mind now that I understand a little more about nutrition. I decided to have my coffee then and only that, instead of with breakfast as I normally do. That way, I use it as a little boost to get through the post-nap drowsiness instead of as my main fuel for the day, replacing it for that purpose with a vitamin D juice. And hey, it seems to have worked better than expected!

As for exercise, today I felt like listening to Electro Swing in the background instead of my political podcasts or my more metal or techno music. I don't know if it was a good idea, since I did the exercises half dancing, but oh well...

See you tomorrow, hive!

Good evening, everyone!

Today my sphinx-like mind was hungry. So it has been a day of acquiring random knowledge from various sources and on various topics. Coinciding with the fact that I'm about to run out of protein for my protein shakes. That led me to search the internet to see if it would be cheaper to buy online instead of going to the physical store. And surprise, surprise, while looking at protein powders, I couldn't help but notice a container that said it was specially formulated for muscle building. Hyper Mass or something like that? Bad timing to see that, because I went into research mode and did some self-infodumping that blew my mind. The question to answer was basically, “If I'm already taking 100% pure whey to build as much muscle as I can, what's different about this shake?”

Anyway, to sum up, now I add a banana and two tablespoons of oats to my shake. I hope my research was correct. If anyone has anything to add on the subject, I'd love to hear it!

On the other hand, after finishing today's workout, I felt like doing more. So I looked for some push-up workouts and, to my delight, I saw that the Leo workout from the zodiac series was already out! I was looking forward to it because I'm a Leo! And I couldn't help but do it. Level one, of course, since it wasn't my main workout for today, but yay me! My great-great-great-aunt Sekhmet will be very proud! After all, she's my coach since we share the same pyromancy power!

I could let out one of my “Awoohoos,” but today deserves a loud and proud ROAR!!!

See you tomorrow, hive!

Good evening, everyone!

Today I had a really big breakfast. And somehow I'm noticing this change in my diet in that I don't need to take a nap out of sheer exhaustion after lunch. I like that because I feel like I can make better use of the day.

Now I've taken to trying to focus on hypertrophy. I don't intend to go full throttle from the get-go because I learned long ago that life isn't an anime and that I probably don't have enough knowledge to do it right without burning out, injuring myself, or getting frustrated. But I'm already starting to learn about it and doing exercises that are more focused on getting used to weight training, especially to pave the way for when I really start to build muscle. For now, as a very first change, I'm trying to do my exercises more slowly to maintain more tension in my muscles, and I'm starting to try to add a couple of repetitions to each set and finish the last exercise of the last set by going to failure.

Little by little. Today it's a couple more repetitions, and tomorrow I'll be tougher than leather. And instead of chuckle, I'll rather flex my muscles! :yas:

Good evening, everyone!

Today I finished watching Heated Rivalry with my partner. I loved it. Not only have I been super hyped for the last two episodes, but the actors are also really good. I'm not particularly good with emotions, and wow, I felt a lot of them!

About drawing, I had time to do a couple more doodles to practice while listening to my podcasts.

On the other hand, I completely forgot about breakfast today! First thing in the morning, I had a visitor at my temple, and I'm not usually very receptive to unexpected visitors. So I locked myself in my chamber to do my necromancer chores while Moofasa and my ushabtis attended to the visitor.

Although I didn't have breakfast, to my surprise, I didn't feel tired or lacking in energy. Something is changing in my body! But I won't push it. I've already had a very good lunch and will have an equally good dinner to make up for it.

See you tomorrow, hive!

Good evening, everyone!

Today I felt quite lazy. Not tired, not exhausted. Just lazy. So I did almost nothing during the day.

As for exercise, today I did day 21 of the Stacked program and noticed that the buttons for counting the sets are swapped with those for day 20. On day 20, there are up to 4 sets and 3 buttons, and on day 21, there are 3 sets and 4 buttons. If anyone can tell me where to report this or, failing that, tag a moderator here so they can see it, I would be very grateful. (Edit: I reported it in the Suggestions and Bugs Reports forum. Idk why I haven't though about it sooner!)

Good evening, everyone!

I skipped the part of today's exercise that said to use light weights. I was able to do it, but it was really intense. I'm sure if I stood against the light, you'd see steam coming off my body.

About a year ago, I was sitting in a broken chair and I felt it in my back until I was able to buy a new one. Now that the “new” one is also broken and has no backrest, I notice that my back doesn't hurt. I understand that I'm strengthening it!

On the other hand, I'm not feeling very well today. I don't think it's a good idea to eat such a heavy meal at night. So today it's soup!

Well, yesterday's day off paid off!

Today I had plenty of energy to make myself a super decent breakfast and, to my surprise, an event started today at Darebee that I had no idea about.

And since I had nothing better to do, I did 5,000 strikes today to boost the light side!

What can I say? I miss martial arts, and this has been the perfect excuse to dust off my moves!

Besides, as GameMaster, I can't let things get too unbalanced. It would be very demotivating for us and boring for them, don't you think?

Besides, tomorrow will be a very busy day for me, and I don't know if I'll be able to do much more for our team. But sssshh, don't let the darkies find out! ;)

Good evening, everyone!

Yes, I am responsible for the tie!

I'm exhausted beyond belief. I've been practically sleeping all day.

I guess what started as an attempt to balance things out on the first day got out of hand, I got too excited and ended up hogging the spotlight more than I should have. I made this competition my sole focus for these four days and ended up forcing the Darebee team to come up with several new rules for next time. And now that it's all over, I'm scared to think that I may have ruined the fun for everyone else.

In fact, I find myself in this situation more often than I'd like to admit.

I don't know... I guess I needed a personal victory these days and... well...

Anyway, tomorrow is another day. I hope you're all doing well and that the hard training continues! You're all amazing, really!

Good evening, everyone!

Well, that's it. Another month completed and a little more Forge Master so as not to slow down too much.

The truth is, I don't know what to do next month, but whatever it is, I want to keep pumping iron with my dumbbells. So maybe I'll say goodbye to the new badges for a while and repeat the PPL program. I also remember that it came with an abs day built in, so perfect!

Time flies, doesn't it? Remember six months ago when I showed up here wanting to take a running start at the Hero's Journey program? And here I am now, drinking protein shakes and pumping iron. Who knows if I'll do that program in the future (I hope so), but I've really gotten into my dumbbells!

The truth is that I've always been a creature with considerable innate strength. Although I've always liked the idea of being fast, graceful, and agile since I was little, it's clear that I'm the power type. And recently, I had to sit down with myself and ask the big question: Do I want to increase what I don't have to balance myself out, or do I want to enhance what I do have?

And for now, I have a clear answer. Maybe at some point that will change, but for now, let's take that strength to its maximum potential!

See you tomorrow, hive!
