My new journey

Just too let you all know, starting tomorrow Monday 7th September, I am going to start training for the NPLQ lifeguard assessment that will be completed by me by Feb or latest august, reason I am doing this, I recently turned 40 and I have been in my job for 10 years past few years has been the hardest of my career, have dealt with loads of stress, and determination as mostly running the branch as had a manger that was never in branch and another manager that was useless, I am also finding customers hard work and don't really enjoy my job anymore.

My youngest daughter has lots of additional needs and I currently don't feel like I am being the best for her as my stress levels can be quite high, a few weeks ago I was a horrible person on a Sunday nasty to everyone as my stress that week was well bad.

I have got additional goals to hit once I get my NPLQ but that will have to wait.

Sorry for the text wall.

All my planning over past couple months comes down too this first step, not expecting to much in my first session but got to start somewhere.

Hello and welcome!

Completed my session not amazing but ok I guess in my warm up swam 3 lengths in light front crawl, almost 2 in my breaststroke warmup, 1 backstroke as too many people around.

when I did my proper strokes did 2 lengths head up front crawl did 1 and a bit of head up breaststroke on my return length my calf cramped up so had to finish the last bit in front crawl while dragging a dead leg.

One issue I had to get out and recover for about 2 minutes after all my 2/3 lengths so did get out of pool unaided a few times I did not complete the whole session as the cramp did me over and when I was drying my other calf cramped slightly.

Did not even complete my dives as the cramp really did effect me.

Still considering my limitations as this was my first session, did alright tbh need to work more on the bits that did cause me issues, my cramp is still hurting slightly but I have had this before at night with the cramps that does effect me for a couple days.
