Counting Victories - Event went well!!!!

Some ball foot rolling

Evening Foot stretches
On this day, we had the event. I did my job of counting all the people and I am pretty sure this is the best event we have had yet! Way to go for my little corner of the Known World.
Got an award today for service, so that was cool. I think I feel silly about it because it is just something that I do. But still pretty neat to be recognized!
And I got to fence today!!!

Got some compliments, so I am definitely regaining my prior abilities. I am noticing a few things:
1. My impulsivity leads to me taking dumb risks where I should not succeed
2. Playing it cool = thinking too much = die
3. Not having fun (treating it lightly) and getting too serious changes my mindset = die
Hmmm, guess I'm just going to have to keep on training that muscle memory and letting the impulsivity save my 'life'? But that doesn't sound right.

So, yeah, I am going to start working on some point control drills because I need those. And clearly, I do some good, stupid stuff with daggers that let me just win. But, I cannot just stroll around playing daggers all the time. I am pretty sure I will upset somebody at some point.

Hmmm, well I could look up the threshold for which a dagger becomes a sword and then just have a really short sword?? Lols, I could live in that loophole.

OR I could just do the harder thing and figure out a way around my mind blocks. I need to spend time figuring out why it is that I suddenly get decision paralysis and become super defensive when I have a sword or a sword and buckler. I'm going to have to think on this. I have the potential to be better, I just need to find the way around this plateau (maybe not the right word, but close enough for my thought processes.)

AHHH, maybe because I am always fighting our new fighters??? I am always making sure I give them ample time to try to attack me. I am playing tournament while still in teacher mode.

I used to do this to another fighter all the time! Oh shoot! How the tables have turned. Well, that is definitely an answer (maybe not the only one, but an excellent starting point) and it really does mean that I need to do more fighting with other people outside my shire and at my level or higher.

Keep on being awesome and I'll catch you next time!
