Roman Legionnaire Workout - backpack weight?

What's the suggested backpack weight?
I'd think that would dramatically impact the workout.

Yes to the weighted vest @broli though, come to think of it, the average Legionnaire had body armor protecting his chest, arm guards (called Lorica segmetata) and leg guards as well as a backpack (I know, they make us all look deficient, darn them!).

@BravoLimaPoppa it depends on what you can carry that will challenge you but not stop you.
