Intro
Hi! I’m just out here dipping my toe back in the water of structured physical activity. It’s part of a broader pursuit to not overdo it while regaining connection to what my body is feeling.

Brief background: Recent autoimmune and neurodivergent diagnoses. My old toolkit of tactics just doesn’t work anymore, so I’m practicing trying to slow down; tune in; and build boring, reasonable consistency in more areas of my life.

Current Approach
I started using StepBet a few months ago as incentive to get up occasionally and go for a walk — or just march in place while watching tv.

I would like to eventually start jogging again, so for now I have a very loose progression of increasing the amount of “slow jogging” I do on a fairly regular basis. I have a little note where I check off when I complete the next goal and date it. Each goal is just five seconds more than the last, and for now, the goal can be completed in one session or multiple throughout the day.

A few days ago, I decided to start a very low-stakes workout plan, so I’ve been doing a very forgiving version of the Recovery plan. Missed one day, so no biggie, just started back up the next.

Tomorrow is the last day of that program. I would normally develop some massive plan for myself. But you know, I’m kind of feeling doing another round of the Recovery week. That feels like the right move, but we will see.
