The workout
44 seconds Push-Up Plank
Hollow Hold Challenge Day 22, 1 minute 20 second Superman Hold
One hour of Steady-State Cardio. Well, 37 minutes and the ankle twinge became too much to not consider. I'm so tired of the weird foot/ankle/leg pain that's been stopping these particular workouts.

:vibes: for your foot/ankle/leg. I hope you get some relief from it soon. I had some ankle pain a while ago and I'm linking some workouts that I had some pretty good success with, I hope you don't mind!

The workout
48 seconds Push-Up Plank
Hollow Hold Challenge Day 24, 1 minute 30 second Superman Hold
Paladin (old) at Level 1. Tired again and feeling like nothing is working to advance me. Of course, it doesn't help that I'm clearly putting weight back on as I have some very clear eating issues at the moment.

I think, for the moment, I'm getting a bit better. I recently had some positive information come my way and it feels like a fog has been lifting. Are they connected? No idea, as correlation does not necessarily imply causation. I may have been/be currently low-grade sick, too, given I was extremely winded by the Pits.

The workout
52 seconds Push-Up Plank
Hollow Hold Challenge Day 26, 1 minute 40 second Superman Hold
Ten minutes in the Pits with bastons

I'm considering working on High Knees instead of my standard Steady State Cardio next year. I'll have to start with a very low bar, though, and if I do take this on, it'll probably be very slow going to get significantly better.

The workout
58 seconds Push-Up Plank. This was rough.
Hollow Hold Challenge Day 29, 2 minute Hollow Hold. Somehow, this was not rough.
Standing Abs with 1 minute rests

Thank you, @CODawn, @Mamatigerj, @astro_lizard, @graoumia, @Fremen, and everyone who congratulated me silently.

Tomorrow I will be starting 10 Side Kicks/day, the Wall Sit Challenge, and One Minute HIIT. Who let me pick One Minute HIIT? Oh, right...

In other news, I think instead of one hour of Steady-State Cardio next year I'm going to aim at getting to five minutes of High Knees. It's going to be a long trek from thirty seconds. If I get there sooner than expected, I'll just continue to push forward to whatever duration I can reach in the remaining time.

The workout
Sentry at Level 1. Because of course I couldn't be pain-free in my legs while working out for more than a few days.

The workout
10 Side Kicks
Wall Sit Challenge day 1, 20 seconds Wall Sit
One Minute HIIT day 1. There is a definite issue with my left leg, as I could barely do the single leg hops on it compared to my right leg. No idea what the problem is, though. Also, my left leg hurt during those, which is why I stopped after three sets.

Thank you, @Mamatigerj.

I think I know how I'm handling what was the exercise of the month this year. Instead, I'm going to focus on three exercises by rotating through them. For the coming year High Knees, Elbow Plank*, and Renegade Rows** are the targeted exercises.

The workout
20 Side Kicks
Wall Sit Challenge day 2, 30 seconds Wall Sit
One Minute HIIT day 2 at Level 3

*I plan to aim for five minutes, but I'm also interested to see how far I can get beyond that, if I can.
**Assuming I get a set of dumbbells before 2026. Otherwise, who knows? Maybe Push-Ups?

Thank you, @graoumia. My knee was damaged when I was a teenager*, though exactly why is up for debate. It may have been a result of being hit by a car** or a fall while biking.

The workout
50 Side Kicks
Wall Sit Challenge day 5, 50 seconds Wall Sit
One Minute HIIT day 5 at Level 3

*Let's call it between ten and fifty years ago.
**My calf muscle absorbed most of the energy and was unusable for three days. No other major damage, however, so I got off lucky with respect to that. That's one Hell of an invulnerability complex, though.

I appreciate it, @graoumia, but my knee is much better since I started working out with DAREBEE in 2016, relative to the issues I was having prior. My knee and, really, the other joints I occasionally complaint about only really give me pain in high intensity workouts, such as "speedrunning Squats", High Knees, and tonight's Jacks of the Jumping and Seal varieties. Notably, even with pain while doing the others, the Step Jacks and Side Jacks elicited no pain from my ankle within the same sets and across the workout. As a result, though, I do believe I've faced off with HIIT before my body was ready for it. I'll muddle through to the end, though. It's kind of my way at this point.

The workout
60 Side Kicks
Wall Sit Challenge day 6, 60 seconds Wall Sit
One Minute HIIT day 6 at Level 1

Hi, everyone. I was distracted last night and didn't post. I also stayed up far too late reading various articles, both news and not. In addition, I may have chosen the wrong pairing of exercise and challenge to go with this program, my legs are not keeping up too well, not that they would have with workouts like Squats, Squat Hold, repeat twice more, one minute rest, back to Squats.

Saturday's workout

80 Side Kicks
Wall Sit Challenge day 8, 20 seconds Wall Sit
One Minute HIIT day 8 at Level 1

Today's workout

90 Side Kicks
Wall Sit Challenge day 9, 80 seconds Wall Sit
One Minute HIIT day 9 at Level 1

After supper last night, I fell asleep for about an hour. I woke up with a killer headache that kept me from working out. Am I happy about this? No. Was it the right choice? Probably. The real issue here is that the store's holiday schedule just started up so I'm there an extra day each week now until after the new year, save Thanksgiving and Christmas weeks, so I barely have the time this month to finish everything on time, as I won't be home at a reasonable time Friday, either.

The workout

170 Side Kicks
Wall Sit Challenge day 17, 140 seconds Wall Sit
One Minute HIIT day 17 at Level 1. Again with the talus issues.

Thank you for the empathy, @graoumia. Speaking of, last night I returned home over two hours later than normal and in no condition to work out while today I left work early as a result of a massive headache* which has left me in the unenviable position of not working out. This month has been lost. I'll do my best to pick back up the Side Kicks and the Wall Sit Challenge, but I cannot complete the program this month now without compromising my ability to do it to my best effort.

*Still there, even if lessened than the point in time during the day that I was seeing spots of light while trying to do... well, anything. Not easy to pretend nothing's wrong at work when one almost can't see.

I don't know what's going on with me. Last month was not good and this month doesn't feel particularly great, either, so far. Enjoyment is way too strong a word for how I felt about working out in the past, but since I restarted working out, these last couple weeks notwithstanding*, it's been a real struggle. To even work out, to want to work out, to do anything at a healthy level.

I forgot to post yesterday, so here's yesterday and today in one post:

The workout, 01DEC2025
5 Prone W-Extensions
Power Pose Challenge, Day 1
Back & Core at Level 1

The workout, 02DEC2025
10 Prone W-Extensions
Power Pose Challenge, Day 2
Extraction at Level 1

*Since, you know, I wasn't working out.

I fell asleep again after supper last night, but felt way worse than Friday and went to bed shortly after I woke up enough to actually move from the living room to the bedroom. I woke up today feeling like I was beaten with sticks and slept on a rock last night while fighting with headaches all day, even sleeping for another couple hours this afternoon. So much for getting back to working out...
