What's New at DAREBEE - The Week We Took Up Yoga
Here is what changed on the site since last Monday. We are going to do this every Sunday from now on so nothing slips by unannounced. Some weeks will be long. Some will be one line and a shrug.
Programs
30 Days of Yoga has been rebuilt. Many of you told us it was too difficult and the poses didn't flow into each other. You were right. It now runs on four recurring flows, the restore days have poses before the meditation sit, the peak poses moved to week 4 and holds are counted in breaths (5 slow breaths or 20 seconds with the timer). New posters, new timers and new descriptions for every day.
30 Days More of Yoga got the same treatment. All 30 posters are new and every timer matches its poster pose by pose.
Notes and comments
Notes and Comments are now two separate rows. Last week we said comments could be private or public. That lasted about a day. NOTES is now its own row: private, saved in your browser and never sent anywhere. It is the place for weights, levels and anything else you used to scribble on a printed poster. Your notes show up on your dashboard where you can edit or remove them. Any private comments you already left moved over to Notes automatically.
COMMENTS is public only now. Every comment is still moderated so please bear with us. The row label shows how many comments a page has ("2 COMMENTS").
Exercise of the Day
There is a new navigation row under the done count. Today's page links to yesterday's exercise and the full archive. Past pages link to the previous day, the archive and back to today. We removed the old back button a while ago and you noticed. Loudly.
Ticking a past exercise now asks when you did it. You can log it for that day (you did it and forgot to tick it and your streak deserves to live) or for today (you are catching up and don't want a streak you didn't earn). Both are fine.
Personal Record Tracking
Calf raises joined the list on the Personal Record Tracking page.
Every PR attempt now shows on your dashboard with its own filter in History. Attempts count toward your streak and travel with your backups.
There is a Reorder button so your favourite records can sit at the top.
Dashboard
Sets are now recorded. If you use the SETS counter and mark the item done, Today's Activity and History show how many sets you did. It says "3 sets" and never "3 of 5". Three sets is three sets and nobody needs a dashboard judging them.
Bug reports now talk back. Our answer to your bug report shows up on your dashboard in a new Bug Reports block (in the same browser you reported from). You can dismiss answers one by one or all at once and they clear themselves after a while. No more going back to the page to see if anyone listened. We did. We always do.
Contact page
The contact page has been rebuilt. It asks what you need first and then sends you to the place with the fastest answer: the help desk for how-to questions, the bug report for bugs, the reviews page for feedback and so on. There is still a plain form for everything else.
