I love/hate exercises like that. I remember one of the daily dares where you hold your arms over your head and open and close your palms. It looks easy but quickly becomes painful and difficult.

I see a lot more check marks than X's on your checklist! Well done! Keep that momentum.

I guess it is in the government's interest (especially the Ministry of Culture) to keep this number high, which is good. The International Book Fair is hosted here as well. So far, there's only one book banned: The Satanic Verses. It was banned back in 1989, eleven years before Chávez took power, so I'm guessing the ban was due to religious purposes (the country was quite supersticious back then, and everything that said "Satan" was enough to trigger many alarms upon the christian population), or because the book was actually too much... I don't know, and I don't have the time to dig up upon the reasons for its ban in here, but that's the only banned book in here that I'm aware of so far. It's still banned to this day.

Thank you! The Xs are mostly because there's so many hours in a day, and some things aren't as "daily" as they ought to be (for instance, I can't do belly dance or shuffle dance in a day, but I keep them there). I am reworking on my reading progress though, as I've reworked my system, though I haven't done much reading since last week.

Minor DOMS didn't allow me to do Burpees today, but I don't mind. I did had a spur of writing during the day, which was neat. 733 words in 15 minutes. Most of it were ideas, sentences, and rants I will use in my upcoming project, but that was it. Today was more of a day for researching, getting inspired, working, and dealing with some paralysis by decision, which was solved with some help.

I am going to write tonight though. I don't know what, but I will.

I skipped the Watch. Reason for it being that I really had no idea about what to do. I wrote goals for the day, but my time got absorbed, and a powercut that happened right at the highest of the heat didn't help. I did read a book though, but that was it. All I did is do my workout, deal with someone who seriously can't take no for an answer, and now I have an appointment.

Everything got screwed up, but I don't worry about it. Today is just a second chance to do the same things that I skipped yesterday.

Well, I managed to do a couple of things, like organizing my stuff, getting some of my motivation ready, and an exercise that I'll be doing while in the moments that I catch myself having self doubts during writing, working out, or anything. Also, while I was working on my stuff yesterday I felt quite excited at some points, which was good because that's the feeling that I need to have. I was doing some research and that got my imagination run wild.

I also did a couple of tables to prevent myself from doomscrolling: one with research projects, and the other one with content that I want to consume instead of doomscrolling, content that is more wholesome, or entertaining. A couple of podcasts, books, some shows... Research projects is just for me to seek out the content that I want instead of having the content fed at me, plus I can make stuff out of it. In fact, I can make stuff out of both lists because it'll encourage me to create something. I mean, I got myself into reading about Lucrezia Borgia yesterday while I was waiting, and I started to read about her because I saw her name on a book's index that the last name I expected to see was hers, out of all the Borgias... Then I realized why the responsibles for that book chose her out of everyone, and it fed me into looking more into the power families of the Italy from the XVI century. If you played Assassin's Creed, you know the ones. I could make something out of it, honestly.

As long as it doesn't make me doomscroll, and it makes me do stuff...

It was at least better than the day before. Two out of four victories, but still victories. Had to skip the Watch because, while I woke up, my body just froze. I don't know if it was due to the heat, or because I was tired for some reason... I mean, the heat has been making me sleep poorly lately, so that would be the reason. We need more rains... Constant rains...

I... don't know what to do tonight.

I mean, I woke up, on one hand. On the other, well, today was a pretty hot day. A long powercut didn't help things, but at least I spend my day reading, and I did my workout too. I'm considering moving to another room again seeing that there is a room that is much bigger in the house, yet it still seems just as hot, but at least it has a window that opens closer to the outside, and it is a better place for installing an AC in the future too. I still need to check if the Internet signal is fine or not because that's the weakest spot, if I recall correctly.

Having more space provides also more ability to do workouts, including more complex combat exercises. Then again, I am just thinking about this because I haven't taken any decision.

Something came up too, a little idea I can work upon during powercuts, but I didn't do any of it today. I was just reading, and only reading.

I'll see what I'll do tonight.

Last night I wrote 312 words. Tonight, I don't know if I'll have time to write. I'm actually yawning quite a lot right now, even though I just woke up. I honestly don't know what to do. I spent the day like that, in complete auto-pilot, not knowing what to do, and everything just accumulated.

I did prepare my D&D session, and it was a list. Yeah, I'm doing just lists for it. I also walked... I don't know. It was a very uninteresting day, but it's like the second day in a row that I work on autopilot.

@Laura Rainbow Dragon Thank you! I actually realized last night that my issue is that I'm understimulated most of the time, for many reasons. I did a lot of reading during the Watch, so much so that I pretty much ticked off a goal that I designed especifically for this morning. One way that works for me when I'm understimulated is through body doubling, which is why I always drew more and better with people surrounding me than when I'm on my own. In fact, I am noticing that I actually work better with people around me instead of alone.

However, those 312 words, and the rest of the writing successes that I had lately are because, without realizing, I've been body doubling in the most unorthodox way, so unorthodox that, if I was a stand-up comedian, I would definitely make it a routine. Then again, it works, and is not just body doubling. I'm pretty much outsourcing the need to look for music, and creating an environment that gets me into writing. I don't know why I didn't push further than 312 words, but I guess it's because those 312 words were actually the beginning of two stories that I started to write simultaneously in the same document, and I had to because I was afraid the idea would slip out of my head at any moment. The biggest hurdle is gone though: how do I start? One is only a killer opening line, and the other one already has a first paragraph done.

It's a start! :happy:

E: The reason why I did a lot of reading during that Watch is, also, because I body doubled. I did everything that I was supposed to do this morning, and then some, in that period.

Oh damn, I woke up for the Watch, but I didn't do anything. I managed to enter the Hive, but I was too sleepy and I just...

And then I woke up a bit late today, I didn't have time to post, and when I came back, boom! A powercut that lasted through the entire afternoon!

Bad omen to learn that another allied country decided to ban Discord, but this time they did because they think they're doing good by banning it, but at the end of the day, it does absolutely nothing. Honestly, I'm just glad that the general reputation of Discord here is different than Turkey's; here is just an app that folks who play Counter-Strike, game devs, and programmers use; it's just something for the nerds, but over in Turkey... just, wow... Sadly, that's not the only place on the Internet where criminal communities like they found exist. They don't even need an app to exist. I've seen one popping up on a dead imageboard once, and then there's of course the infamous Farms that was created with that exact purpose of cyberbullying people, and that's just the surface web. But, of course, politicians will be politicians, and will always remain ignorant if ignorance means to stick themselves to power even more.

Clock's ticking though. This one felt more justified.

Anyway, yesterday was D&D day. It was fun, though the dice are evil and a huge mess. I came back home late, and I didn't do much except prepare for NaNoWriMo sinc it's coming up next week. I am really excited for it!

The powercut lasted the entire afternoon. I guess that's all I can say about today. There was no victory, there were no heroes... it was all a big waste of time.

All I did was sleep and wait. My workout got completely destroyed, so I skipped the day. No Burpees. Only did 10 and that was it.
