Getting back on a track

Hi everyone!

I have started this thread as my log, of getting back to bodyweight workouts.

Exactly 1 month ago I had an operation of my belly, and now, when the pain is gone I need to get back to activity.
So I decided to start over, and start slowly, being much overweight.
My choice fell on Vitality.
So today I did day 1 of it, and.... I feel good :click:
The hardest part is to keep low pace, getting slowly back in shape.

But I know it's possible.
I'm excited to be here once again. :worried:

So today is another day of my training.

I needed one day off, so I just went for a walk yesterday.
After 1st day of Vitality I had a little pain in my belly. It's because my wounds after the operation are not completely healed yet.

But after one lighter day yesterday, I did good training of my arms today, and it was:

Vitality day 2 - 3 sets, under 1min rest between sets.
Baseline day 1 - 3 sets, 1.5-2min rest between sets.

I have few main goals right now:

1. Lose 7kg - that's just the first step of losing weight, because to get my ideal, I need to lose much more, but I don't want to write it here yet.
2. Be active for 30 days straight - the counter starts at 1.01.2025
3. Go to sleep before 10pm, and sleep min. 7 hrs
4. Stop eating min. 3hrs before going to sleep.

I know those are silly steps... In fact they are just basics. That's why I need to repair my foundation before proceeding further.

I already gave up on drinking any kind of alcohol, and haven't drink any kind of it since 30.12.2023. So it is already a year and I'm very proud of myself, now it's time to go further.

Peace y'all

That is a significant accomplishment!:clapclap:

This may be silly to mention, but have you considered one of the walking challenges? We can probably find and post a few suggestions to help you out.
Sure I did.

I've found some of them, but I don't want to start any challenge right now, because I'm going back to work next week. After over a month pause, I need some time to get used to that kind of "activity" at first :)
But yeah, I was thinking of it. Even though here where I live is always rainy in that time of year, I can try to walk on a treadmill in a gym near my house

Today's update is not positive, because I had little belly pain, and my physician said, I should give up on trainings for next month.

So it is, I need a little longer break to get my wounds completely healed. But in the meantime I'm gonna walk. I can't do much more now :(

Ugh, sorry to hear this. I second what others have said: walking challenges are a great idea. Be patient and let your body heal, and get outside for a walk when you can.
