Season 17 Applause GIF by America's Got Talent

This is the time of the the year when traditionally we always say something in The Hive. This year we thought long and hard whether we should. The external world has not given us a lot to be cheerful about and the two years before that were tremendously challenging for everyone. Also DAREBEE (and The Hive) have a global population. No everyone celebrates Christmas and not everyone regards this time of year as being special, and that is perfectly fine.

This time of the year, however is an opportunity. The year is drawing to a close. Many of us, inevitably, take stock of where our lifejourney has led us so far and try to decide where to navigate to next, why and how. These are the things we all struggle with most of the time and this time of the year kind of magnifies them for us. So this message addresses just that. We celebrate the fact that those of us here have put in the time and effort and shown up despite the difficulties we face. We celebrate the fact that we can actually do just this: get together in a safe space on the web and feel valued, connect with others and feel that we are not alone.

These are basic human needs. Our technology makes it possible to do this in a way that is tailored to our level of comfort. More people lurk in this space than post. Yet the posts of those who do give them a sense of hope and give them strength. Weird as it may appear to someone who has not experienced it, reading h daily workouts and small asides of a person whose real name we may never know and whose location even remains a mystery only strengthens the human connection. It filters out the many differences we perceive and leaves the distilled essence of what it means to be alive in the 21st century.

We cheer, here, the fact that so many of you go out of your way to make this place welcoming to newcomers and so many of you learn from the posts and shares and workouts we put here and then share them with others or, internalize the knowledge and answer questions from people who are new to The Hive.

The Darebee Team, like everyone else on the planet, has bad days and low moments. Yet all of you, collectively, give us the sense that no matter how difficult things appear there is always a sense of wonder in people, immeasurable kindness and a deep sense of fun. That makes all our efforts worthwhile.

Like you we don't know what the year ahead will truly bring. But we can promise you that from our part we will try to make everything as much fun as possible. Somehow, being alive nearly a quarter of a century in the second millennia seems magical. We will try to sprinkle some of that sense of magic in everything, everywhere.

And as always, from all of us, to all of you.

Any possibility of a lower body plus core strength focused program or challenge
This is something we're considering for a program.

But we do have challenges:

I hope this helps.

Thanks. It is just I realize some of the guys that throw the hardest punches at the boxing gyms have really well developed glutes legs and cores and research I did. That's where 80% of your power comes from. Only 20% of it is really upper body and since I don't feel like I punch hard enough and I want to get better, that is the goal
