Facing 30 strong 🏋️

Hey y'all

This isn't the first time I've made a thread on here, but honestly I've fallen off the wagon a few times before.
But this time I'm determined to be better with building habits.
I'm turning 30 in April, and I'm not gonna lie... it's messing with my head a little.

Over the past 18 months, I've lost about 11 kg of weight (I'm at 77 kg now, 170 cm). It's not a lot when you put it in that time frame, but it has been sustainable and I'm honestly really proud of that. I've still got some goals when it comes to my body, but with my eyes on 30, I actually want to see how strong I can get if I really commit to my goals. I've always had a lot of back and neck issues (and very frequent migraines) and I'd like to see if I can maybe work on that as well.

I work a desk job, so that's definitely not getting me a lot of movement. But I also do some side gigs working at a bar, which is better at getting me to a decent step count and lifting loads of things.

I also recently started at a new gym. It's a lot fancier than I'm used to but the high amount of available group lessons and extra perks actually convinced me to join. I hope that keeps me accountable. A con is that everyone seems to know what they're doing in the weight section, which makes me a bit insecure. I know that's just in my head, but that doesn't make it easier.

So that's my starting point in a nutshell. Let's see where we can get!

Tuesday 21/07 (Day 1)

Worked a double shift at the theater, good for my step count. I had a 2 hour break in between so I went to the gym for some weight lifting in between.
Didn't do cardio after because I couldn't get too sweaty for work afterwards.

:v: Full body weights
:v: 11k steps

Wednesday 22/07 (Day 2)

My gym offers 30 minute sessions with a longivity coach where you can discuss your goals and let them help you pick a program and check up on your form.
So I'm immediately diving into my insecurities with weights, and she helped me set up a program with machines and picking the right weight. It's at a location a bit further away, but it was a very nice experience and I will try to do this every few weeks.
Ended with a water bed massage :move:

:v: Full body program
:x: Only 7.5k steps

Thursday 23/07 (Day 3)

Took my rest day a little bit too literally with staying in and reading.

:x: Only 4.5k steps.
:v: Baseline Day 3 level 3

Thanks everyone for the very warm welcome back!
The past few days were sort of a mixed bag sports wise.

Friday 24/7

Had my gym bag with me to go to the gym after I met up with a friend. Worst luck ever: got pooped on by a bird, right on my sports bra that was sitting at the top. Went home after that :roadkill:

:x: 8k steps

Saturday 25/7

Worked a long shift at the theater with only a 30 minute break, so no time for going to the gym (right across the street). But I did stand on my feet pretty much the whole day.

:v: 12.5k steps

Sunday 26/7

Horrible migraine this day. Only movement I did was going to my parents who made fresh lasagna.

:x: 4k steps

Monday 27/7

Finally went to the gym.

:x: 9k steps
:v: Weight training
:v: 25 minute incline walk
