Monastic Training

Set Monje Set Monje Logging since October 2024
I put "darebee set monje" in my phone to get to this log page, as I often do, so see what I was to do this evening, and I got an AI answer describing me back.
was a fairly decent answer but still think it should have had a link to this page.
Scan me better dangnabbit.

Express was pretty good, I kept having PPL+ULsplit pitched at me & it's pretty close to that, so I see why it's recommended.
Do look forward to adding a set of plates to my dumbbells, but glad I started low to work my way up.

It's been about a year since I tried this challenge, figured I can give it another go; and if I fail I'll just restart it till I get it, take the pressure off myself.

A few week after I stopped tracking it here, I swapped apps for step tracking, and it's been keeping track for me which is nice.
After reading the Grease the Groove Guide I considered the 1000 push up challenge, but remembered marathon has max push up days; but some grip training sounded like it would help my pull up and a safe bet.
I keep flip flopping on what to do after Marathon Training is finished, and how running vs leg day could work.
Or maybe try biking & swimming and become a triathlete.
Also had some quiet mornings between summer and fall semester, so got to read some check in logs, which was a nice change of pace.
PS: my brain made doing the running programs and the 12000+ steps a day challenge incompatible as they are all for badges and I like to keep all the totals separate ... if I was doing the running training plan, I'd probably do the challenge then.

Made it about halfway through Ab Master on the bar before having to switch to floor, but I think greasing the groove with clenches for the last two weeks have helped so I look forward to getting more in before hitting the deck.

I think with the start of the fall semester and the race weekend coming up I should probably not repeat PPLE when it finishes up.
Maybe just something level 1 or 2 to take its place.
Also, I don't have the brain for yoga & structured breathing.

Today I learned it takes 13 lunges to cross my apartment; also: that lunging forward like that is way less tiring as I can maintain my balance much easier.
