The Labyrinth: Room 11 Level 1, Room 16 Level 1 (2 Sets of 40 Butt Kicks to Traverse)
The next room is filled with Iron Cogs that I need to move in order to allign a pattern on the machine. Thankfully, my strength is up to the task and I'm able to move forward into yet another room. I'm hoping the next one doesn't smell as bad.
Upon entering the room I'm hit with a rush of cold water. The tide is strong, and I need to cross against it. Again, my strength holds up, although just barely. A few times, I plunge under the surface, but each time I'm able to get back up.

Streak Day 69 (nice)
Alright, I need to have a serious sit down with myself about the whole warmup/cooldown thing. Argh, sometimes I am so frustrating. I already went through and picked out the ones I like and gave myself plenty of choices. I think each day I miss them I am going to have increasing HP loss. So, if tomorrow I don't do it, I'll lose a total of 60% of my HP.
I think I'll add Unbound as my cooldown program (though some of those 'warmup' sets in Unbound absolutely KILL ME). For warmup, I don't know. There's the universal warmup, which is great, but for some reason I have a hard time doing it. Maybe I'll just go into the catalog and filter by stretching and find one that day on the fly. Hmm. I don't know. All I know is that this needs to get done. Rabble rabble rabble. Also, once you've done a warmup, how long are you 'warm' for?? An hour? Less?
Also, I'm absolutely LOVING The Labyrinth. My partners favorite video game is Binding of Isaac, which is a similar concept of going through rooms to find the correct path to an objective. It's nice to have a rogue-like of my own now to obsess over. The only thing that would make The Labyrinth better, in my opinion, is item drops. Perhaps with some RNG like in The Miner challenge. Anyway. Decent-ish day so far. Maybe more to come later, but who knows. I'm pretty beat from the gym yesterday. I hadn't gone in quite a while because of ~gestures vaguely~ so my muscles are definitely feeling it. Plus with the onslaught of squats and shoulder taps from The Labyrinth I'm feeling out of mana.
Also, my partner went and compiled a bunch of lizards of increasing intimidation for me for my log. I am VERY excited to share. They're amazing.
Have a great day, and if you see me curled up and napping in a corner in The Labyrinth feel free to stop and say hi

My understanding is that warmups are just, like, smaller and easier exercises than your normal routine. Basically to wake up the muscles and ease them into the workout itself. I'm not sure how long that lasts for though. ^_^;;; But my understanding is that stretches work better as a cool down because they have been warmed up and will stretch more easily. Doing too much stretching before the muscles have warmed up can risk hurting them from what I've been told. So I'd find, like, a nice level 1 workout of some sort for the warmup part.
Also, seconded that the warmups on Unboard are using that term relatively, haha

Now that you say that I definitely remember reading somewhere that static stretches before working out can lead to injury. I really like the idea of picking an easy workout from the catalog and doing it before getting on with the main workouts. I'll try for that tomorrow (hopefully) ((glares at self))
The Labyrinth: Room 21 Level 1 (1 Set of 40 Butt Kicks to Traverse)
The room I enter is filled with chains. I massage my sore arms and prepare for the first leap to the nearest chain and platform. Slow, but steady, I reach the end of the room. There is only one option forward, and I prepare to walk through it.

I actually did my warmups and cooldowns today thanks to some wisdom given to me by the wonderful @NightWolf714 and @Mamatigerj . DareBee is truly such a wonderful resource because when my brain is exploding and sabotaging itself I am given good advice. Thank you both again x1000 for your endless support. Even though I've read through all the guides and articles posted by DareBee many times, my brain seems to purge ALL info when it's freaking out.
I only did one room in the Labyrinth today because I am sooo sore. I may do some more later.... we'll see. I like doing multiple workouts spaced out throughout the day because it helps quiet my overactive brain and helps me release some energy.
I managed 55 seconds on the Dead Hang Challenge. I really enjoy Dead Hangs still and all the wonderful benefits they give me but I wish I was progressing faster. My partner has to constantly remind me that I've more than doubled what my max hang was at the start, and despite not progressing time wise, I'm much more stable on the bar. Most of my hang is Active, with shoulders engaged, whereas before I was Passive and just hanging on for dear life. I even can manage quite a few solid Scapular Pull-Ups during the hangs these days.
I need to start incorporating Yoga back into my routine. The little bit I did with the cooldown and the build and conquer had my body like, OOH YOGA, THAT'S RIGHT, WE LOVE YOGA. I need to have a sign over my bed, on my mirror, and over every doorway that just says, "Hey, you like Yoga!! You like, really like it! You've been doing it semi-regularly for over two years now, how do you keep forgetting that you like Yoga!!!"

I kinda accidentally fell into doing Better Sleep Yoga as my cool down. The yoga is nice and it's not too difficult. But I've also done it long enough that I have it memorized so I don't have to really think about it either. That makes it super destressing and relaxing, almost zen like.

Streak Day 71
Partner has been getting sick and last night was the worst of it. Today, I'm feeling like I may be catching it. He caught it from a coworker who came in while extremely sick. Ugh, I wish our work culture here wasn't to come in while sick. I want to blame the coworker, but they don't have paid sick days and only have a miniscule amount of PTO so like, I understand that they probably couldn't afford to miss a day, but ugh. [insert rant about the abysmal state of things in the US in regards to how people are pretty much forced to work while sick and contagious]
Anyway, I'm thankful that the two rooms I entered in the labyrinth were pretty easy going, all things considered. I did them slowly and with extra rest. Thankful dead hang day was just a couple sets of 10 sec hangs. The 60 sec plank hold for lower body and core about sent me to the funeral home, though, and confirmed my fears that I am likely catching the sickness as well.
If I do get full-on sick, I'll have my quests on hold and will rest at an inn, doing the Recovery program to maintain streak. If I catch it as bad as he does, I'll be lucky to be able to handle Recovery. It was gnarly and had me extremely worried, especially because he doesn't have health insurance, either. Thankfully today he seems to be almost recovered.
Anyway. Keep up the good fight, bees. Stay strong.
ALSO. NEW LIZARD WHICH ACCURATELY PORTRAYS EXACTLY HOW I'M FEELING TODAY. ENJOY.
I attempt to move forward to the next room in The Labyrinth but an otherwordly force teleports me to a cozy inn. I recognize it as the Lion's Pride Inn in Goldshire in Azeroth. The force tells me I will be instantly teleported back as soon as I am no longer sick. There will be no risk of leaving any illness or sickness for others in The Labyrinth to catch. The innkeeper gives me warm broth, a flagon of mead, and instructions to follow for my time here.
Recovery Program - Days 1 and 2. Nice stretching and some breathing exercises.

Streak Day 72
Honestly, I don't feel as bad as I was expecting to feel, but I'm definitely sick. I was extremely tempted to just push through and do my original programming but... I don't think that's the wisest idea. Even typing out and setting up this post is exhausting me, so I think I made the right call.
When resting at an Inn in World of Warcraft, you gain rested XP which gives you a 200% increase in XP gains for mob kills. The more time you spend in the Inn, the more rested XP you get. So, that's my motivation for taking it easy. I'll gain a day of rested XP for each day that I spend in the Inn. So, next time I do my regularly scheduled programing I'll get a nice boost of XP. I'll probably do more of the recovery program throughout the day and will update as I go. I'll wait until the end of the day to add up XP. Or I may wait until I'm feeling better to add it all up. We'll see. For now,
I try to do more, but the Physician sends me to bed. I don't think she'll let me do much more for the night. I know that she's right, but I want to be doing more. I lay in bed and wonder about The Labyrinth, hoping all who are in there are well. I saw so many footprints at the start and can't help but wonder about each of their journeys, wishing that I was still exploring with them.
"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change. ~Carl Rogers"
I know it's hard when you feel sick but you still want to do things. I struggle with that too. But I appreciate you listening to your body and resting up. That means you'll be back in the labyrinth with us that much sooner!
I found a nice reading area and have been reading through the books I can find in the inn. Stories about great adventurers, epic betrayals, war, peace, and everything in between. Turns out the Physician was right and I needed a lot of sleep. I ended up sleeping for over.... 15 or so hours. Wow. Groggy, achey, and with a little bit of brain fog, I go through some light and easy quests.
As I wrap up, I can feel the otherwordly force whisper to me that my time at the inn is almost concluded. I've really enjoyed my time here, all things considered, and may utilize the inns around Azeroth to make my rest days more impactful in the future.
Streak Day 73
Posted this and forgot to give my streak day updates. Brain is still catching up
I'm really lucky and I didn't get anywhere near as sick as my partner did. He's still not feeling well and I wish I had a magic potion that I could give him to make him feel better. Despite how he's feeling, he still takes care of me, as I woke up today with a hydroflask full of ice water, partially opened medicine (this stuff is seriously SO HARD TO OPEN. This stuff is for sick people! Make it easier please!!), and my favorite crackers. Ugh, he's seriously the best. THE BEST.
I actually took a WoW character to the Lion's Pride Inn for most of the screenshots. The first one was from google images, but the others I grabbed myself while playing. I found some cool people loitering outside and dueling by a fire. I joined them and just lazed about with them in game. Someone traded me a bunch of beverages. I really enjoy the server I play on. (It's not a Blizzard server... I only play on private servers these days....) The company was nice and helped me to relax IRL. I was extremely restless so the distraction was nice. The same people were there both days, so it seems that this is a regular place for them to hang out. I'll definitely be visiting in game more often. There are many more Inns that I want to visit and I'm thinking between programs and on active rest days I'll have some more 'resting in the Inn' time. Thank you, citizens of Azeroth for making my sick time more enjoyable! And thank you to all the Bees that sent me well-wishes! It means a lot. I'm feeling better by the hour. Things are looking up!
It seems that me and the otherwordly force have differing definitions of 'soon'... oh well. I awoke yesterday expecting to feel better, but instead felt worse than ever. I took it slow and gentle. Today I felt mostly better and extremely restless. As the day progessed I felt better and better.
I finish the recovery quest given to me. Feeling satisfied for the day, I sit down to drink more broth and mead. As I go to take my sip of mead, however, I drop the flagon. I'm suddenly teleported back to a familiar place. Finally, I'm back in The Labyrinth. I curl up in the corner of the room I'm in and decide that I will move forward in the morning.

Streak Day 74, 75
I really enjoyed the Recovery Program and found it to be the perfect thing to do while sick. The breathing, the yoga, and the short and light movements were just what I needed to feel sane and like I wasn't losing all of my progress and fitness. I'll definitely be turning to this program again whenever my health takes a decline. Every hour or two I did a bit of the program and it was seriously so rejuvinating and refreshing.
Now all I feel is slightly weak and tired but no longer sick. I'm ready to start making some more progress in The Labyrinth. Finally!
I'm worried that I've lost all progress on my Dead Hangs. I attempted to hang on the bar yesterday and it was... not good. Yesterday was also the sickest I felt throughout this whole thing so I don't know why I tried to hang, anyway. I'll see where I'm at tomorrow and adjust accordingly.
It's late at night on day 75 and if I wasn't so tired I'd do a room or two in The Labyrinth right now. I might, though, if I can't get to sleep. Decisions, decisions. I'm extremely restless and eager to get moving on my quests. I have felt not-sick for the last 6 or so hours so I'm officially declaring myself Recovered.
The Labyrinth: Room 27 Level 1 (2 Set of 40 Butt Kicks to Traverse back the way I came and then into room 27)
I turn out of the room I'm in and go back the way I came. From room 22, I decide to head south into room 27.
My shadow splits from me and begins to start doing a series of movements. I watch it for a moment before I start to mimic the movements. After a time, my shadow bows and comes back to me. There's a door on either end. I look towards the one heading to the West. I take a while to gather myself before stepping through.

Streak Day 76
Wow, it feels good to be back. I was planning on doing another day of The Labyrinth but the room I chose to enter next has my sworn enemy of exercises. I may end up doing it later. I would just swap, but I am perfectly capable of doing the exercise I just hate theeeemmmmmmm. Since it's just a matter of stubborn-ness I'm trying to push myself to do the exercise, since that's what I did during Spellbound with Shoulder Taps and now I love doing Shoulder Taps. At my gym the phrase, "if it doesn't challenge you it doesn't change you" is plastered on the wall. I'm trying to listen to it today. Grumble grumble.
I'm trying to take it easy today, so this may be it, buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut I may end up doing more later. I'm so eager to get through the labyrinth. I want to enter each room before I exit so I need to get moving
I've gained a little bit of weight (not sure how much, the scale is my enemy) and I'm wondering if that's what's making my dead hangs harder. I held a small 5kg weight with my feet after doing the challenge for today and that little bit of extra weight made such a HUGE difference. It's time to re-lock-in on my diet. I feel pretty good with my workout routine, now it's the food thing.. again. I used to have a huge problem with binge eating and that always pops back up whenever I'm not feeling well. My last period and this latest sickness have done some pretty big damage in regards to my control. I usually don't eat as much 'bad' food anymore, I just eat way too much! Next time we go to the store I'm going to get lettuce, cucumbers, and tomatos and make salads. Whenever I am feeling the urge to binge, I'll make a huge salad and eat that (no dressing, I actually don't like dressing on my salads, I'm weird I know). This helped me get back on track in the past, so I'm going to try it again!
A huge thank you to all the Bees, again. You all keep me going <3

Streak Day 77 @NightWolf714 thank you!!! I'm so happy to be back!
Today was ok. My sinuses were making my head feel like it was about to explode so I was putting off working out. Then I read online that working out can be a quick 'hack' to open your sinuses. And it worked! I can't believe it. I could not breathe through my nose before working out but afterwords I sort-of could. It's not perfect, but I can actually breathe through my nose now. I haaaate breathing through my mouth so much.
Soon I think I will be picking a light program to use as my warmup. I'm getting the itch to complete more programs. I'm thinking Cardio Light as a warmup and Unbound as a cooldown. I made it a little more than halfway through Unbound so it'll be nice to finish that up. I'm also looking at Back & Core, as I was around halfway through that one when it got its refresh, and 2-minute abs because it just seems fun. So yeah. Fun times ahead. Also it's almost time to pick another challenge or two... I think I'll pick two once I wrap up lowerbody and core and maybe add another one around the 15 day mark if I'm still feeling antsy... I'm also excited to hopefully start playing the new card game Gurg set up in the playground once the current game ends. I've been wanting to explore more of the regular non-program-related workouts on DareBee and that looks like the PERFECT way to do it.

An envoy from the Strength Faction appears in front of me at the end of my workout. How they were able to materialize in The Labyrinth... I'm not sure. They inform me that due to my efforts and dedication, I am now Friendly with their faction. If I keep it up I may one day get some rewards from them. They don't tell me what those rewards are, but by looking at their awesome gear and items they have adorned on their person, I bet they're pretty good. When visiting Strength cities or encountering members of the faction, they will no longer scowl or scoff at me. I may even get an affirming head-nod from them every now and then! I still have a long way to go in regards to proving myself to them, but I've finally shown up on their radar as someone who is trying to emulate Strength. There are many areas that are still off-limits to me, but this is a good start.
And then just like that, the envoy de-materializes back out of The Labyrinth, and I'm once again alone.
Dead Hang: DAY 15 / 30
(Total Days of Hanging: 71) staying on day 15 mostly because I'm scared and also because I'm still feeling some residual weakness
The Labyrinth: Room 36 Level 1, Room 37 Level 1, Room 38 Level 1 (3 Set of 40 Butt Kicks to Traverse) [13/40 Rooms Explored] [[All done pretty slowly and with more than 2 min rest at points. Still feeling a little weak but also extremely restless]]
I enter 36th room still winded from the day before; I did not rest enough. Shadows taunt me and I sprint across the bridge. Too slow. I feel the shadows on my back, but I keep my pace. I cannot afford to fail here, and pushing too hard may disable me completely. I finally make it to the end of the bridge and jump into the next room without looking back.
I immediately start slipping down a slope. I almost slip completely, but regain control at the very last second. There is nowhere to go but down. I barely manage to pull open the door leading into the room below. Winded and exhausted, I enter the next room.
The next room has massive scales and large heavy objects. I take a moment for myself before I get to work. I don't know exactly what will happen if I fail to rebalance the scales, but I don't want to find out. With all of my remaining strength I move the objects onto the scales. Before proceeding into the next room I curl up and tend to my hurts. I pushed myself too hard today.

Streak Day 78
Mistakes were made today. I definitely did too much. I did three rooms in the labyrinth, which I knew was a lot, but I thought I compensated enough by going slow and giving myself extra rest. Ooof. I'm feeling pretty spent, but also extremely satisfied, so I definitely will not learn from this.
I've been playing some No Man's Sky Permadeath mode lately so I think I was feeling a little full of myself and a little over-confident. Taking my video game ego into my workouts is probably not the best idea and I need to reel that in
The weather has been really great and so I want to start running outside again. I was making decent progress each week and I'd like to get back to that! Because of ~reasons~ it is extremely annoying/anxiety inducing to be able to just walk out my front door and go for a run. It's nothing that is unsafe, it's just extremely social anxiety inducing. I need to figure out how to get over that. My body doesn't know the difference between being hunted for sport and a neighbor saying hello and striking up a conversation. I used to take medication that made me less anxious but it made me feel TOO numb/zombie/uncaring so I (with doctors permission/knowledge) stopped taking it. Schedules/car availability makes it difficult to get to the park where I usually ran in the past. Public transit is non-existant here so that's not an option. Realistically, I know that my neighborhood is an excellent place to run for dozens of reasons but... neighbors are extremely social and chatty.
Anyway, decent day. Partners birthday is tomorrow so I may miss a day of logging, but I'll be doing all of my workouts. Hopefully we'll be able to work out together, as that's something we both really enjoy doing together. We'll just have to see how the day goes. The gym isn't open for very long on Sundays so it's really easy to miss the window.
That's it for now. Stay strong, Bees! You all are an endless source of inspiration and encouragement and I'm so glad that each and every one of you exists.
The Labyrinth: Room 39 Level 1, Room 32 Level 1 (6 Set of 40 Butt Kicks to Traverse) [15/40 Rooms Explored]
I awake to the sound of someone buzzing past me, back through to the rooms where I already came. I don't catch a good look at them, but I silently wish them the best on their journey. I take a moment to warm my muscles up. They are definitely sore from my chicanery the previous day. Once I feel warm, I proceed into the next room.
A guardian figure stands before me at the end of a huge and grand cathedral. I sense that I need to use stillness and endurance to match the guardian. The moves are refreshing and rejuvinating and I'm glad for them; these types of movements are my forte. Once I reach my center within myself and reach a perfect stillness, I step forward and touch the chest of the guardian. It crumbles and reveals a door. This room requires a key, which I don't have. I mark the location and turn around. I run all the way back through rooms 38, 37, 36, then turn to room 31 and then proceed into room 32. I take a few moments to catch my breath before moving forward.
I am struck with absolute silence. This would be another room that tests my stillness and control. The universe is in my favor today. I see a bowl filled with water and a pedestal where I assume I need to place it. The bowl is filled to the brim and I would need to be extremely controlled with my movements to get it to the target location. Slowly and steadily, I place the bowl in its place, not a single drop lost.
I hang around for a while to stretch and unwind. The silence was first unnerving, but now it's somewhat comforting. I decide this is a good place for a nap. I'll continue on tomorrow.

Streak Day 79
My eating today was completely out of control. We went out for my partners birthday and I got the quesobirra tacos. They were absolutely excellent. And then I had like, 7 slices of pizza. My weakness! Oh well. It's safe to say that I was EXTREMELY fueled for my workouts today I also totally forgot to get lettuce and tomatos and cucumbers at the store. Oh well.
Today was great and I had a lot of fun with my workouts. The Labyrinth is so much fun I'm always looking forward to doing it. I also really enjoy doing Cardio Light as a warmup because my cardio has definitely slipped over the last couple of weeks. This feels like a great way to rebuild that cardio while I work up the courage to run outside. Unbound is also a delight.
My partner hurt his shoulder minorly today so we decided to not go to the gym.
I finished Lowerbody and Core today and I really enjoyed it! I really enjoy core work and will probably start another core challenge tomorrow. I think a core challenge and maybe a cardio challenge would be fun. I also completely forgot that I started 1 minute yoga and 1 minute meditation while I was sick. I'll restart those sometime and figure out where to place them in my lineup.

Super low energy day and waited until way too late to start workouts so I didn't do all that I wanted to do. But, I started Yoga Abs today! I think maybe adding a challenge every 10 or 15 or so days sounds manageable. That way I have around three going at a time.
Body is tired but mind is restless so I'm probably going to spend more time than I'd like to admit playing No Man's Sky once I post this. I'm really liking all the updates it has gotten recently and I really want the achievement for finishing the game on permadeath. I've been browsing some of the seated workouts to possibly add for when I'm doing longer gaming sessions so I can feel a bit more productive during them...

Streak Day 81
Finally got some gym time with my partner! I love it when the stars align like that. I am really missing the days where we could easily go together four or five days a week but schedules are weird right now.
I again needed to remind myself that at the start of the dead hang challenge I could barely hang on for 20 seconds. I was disappointed in only making it 50 seconds today but that's more than double what I started with so.. it's still something I should be celebrating. I need to get a stool or step ladder or something so I can start doing negative pullups more regularly. The only way I can do them now is if my partner literally picks me up and puts me up high on the bar.
Anyway, I'm hoping to get more rooms done in The Labyrinth tomorrow. I think I'm going to try to squeeze in some working out early and do a double day. We'll see. That will require me actually going to bed at a responsible time. Maybe I should start the go to bed/wake up on time challenges ((I'm scared to even attempt those I don't think I could make it even three days))
Streak Day 82
I did two rooms of The Labyrinth and wow I'm beat. I was going to go for a third until I saw what was in store for me in the next room.....
Not much else to say for today except that I wish I could stop time so that I could play video games for an infinite amount of time every day. I am so seriously hooked on No Man's Sky right now! The only thing I don't like about it right now is how strong Pirates are in permadeath mode. They cut through me like butter and I'm shooting tennis balls at them. I've had to flee from every fight so far. I need to upgrade my ship before I get turned to dust one of these days. One death and my save gets automatically deleted on this mode so I need to be extra careful.
Anyway
You're all wonderful and I hope you all have a good day!

I really enjoy core work and will probably start another core challenge Car parking multiplayer game tomorrow. I think a core challenge and maybe a cardio challenge would be fun. I also completely forgot that I started 1 minute yoga and 1 minute meditation while I was sick. I'll restart those sometime and figure out where to place them in my lineup.
And it's done. Finally. Now to start a new game and do all of the exploring/fun/dangerous stuff on a mode that WON'T delete my save if I die I may come back to this save file every now and then and see how far I'm able to go....
There are 255 galaxies and how fun would it be to make it to ALL 255 on permadeath? The achievement pops when you reach the center of your first galaxy so if you think about it the game has only just started
